Even though I called ahead to make sure our Easter bunch would not be ending since we had a 2pm reservation and brunch was advertised until 2 pm, several items were already gone. What I did not care for was that they were breaking down the buffet while we were still dining. I felt rushed and like we did not get the full buffet experience though our price was the same. I think it was overpriced and will not be back again for a special buffet, possibly not for any dining experience
I have special allergy needs, and the server was excellent in making sure my food was appropriate for me. I am so grateful. It is often difficult for me to order food out. She made it easy to know what I could select, and continued with great communication as each course was served.
The halibut cheek breading was soggy and they had no flavor. Over priced for what we received. Will not be back.
Had a fantastic time! Food and service was great.
Great place . Small menu and if certain items mixed and matched it would if been a better experience. This is a great place but just my pallet was picky
Great food and quality
Service is some of the best in AK. Past couple years very consistent - they greet you like you are seeing a favorite friend at the airport.
And the food is great!
I didn’t like mushy pancake-type batter on halibut. It used to be really good.
We brought people from out of town and they felt it was the meal they had ever had in Anchorage.
Kinley's has great food and the service is always excellent. The bartenders and servers (especially Pat & Kyle) are very helpful and competent in their jobs. This is a great place for a business meal and the remodelled bar area is highly recommended for after-work drinks and appetizers.
Great food, drinks and service.
Service was a bit disappointing, but the food, as always, was divine.
The food was very good. The service was great. It was a nice, clean place. Somehow, I can’t put my finger on it but it just didn’t seem like a five star experience. I definitely recommend this place to other diners and we’ll eat there again.
Great atmosphere. Excellent service. Rhonda is a gem! The only complaint we had was that the sweet potato gnocchi was too large and therefore it didn't have the right consistency.
Parking is an issue...food was so so...drinks were few...service not bad.
It’s a convenient location with a nice selection on the menu and the beer & wine lists.
A little pricey, our waitstaff was a grump and not very engaging. Disappointed in that
Great wine selection, the bacon wrapped dates are fabulous & I’ll have to go back to try another entree, everything is amazing. So delicious that we didn’t even have room for dessert!
The dinner special was scrumptious and the service excellent. We were seated in booth on the south end of the restaurant, and just happened to be too close to a group of 2 loud women.
Great service, amazing food, relaxing environment.
Server was excellent. Rockfish was over cooked. Green curry sauce was delicious
As usual the food was wonderful. Wait staff very attentive. Perfect evening.
Great food with great prices. You cant go wrong.
Excellent service and delicious food. Slightly loud but only an isssue due to a couple of older people in our party.
I was a bit surprised. Don’t know why we don’t go here more often. The calamari app was fantastic, great service, extensive wine list priced moderately. We had duck, short ribs and halibut cheeks entrees and each was perfect. Most surprising since the place was packed, quite busy weekend night - the food was served HOT. The app and all entrees were served hot - this is becoming rare at many restaurants. Loved the desserts too. Nice evening.
It was another wonderful experience at Kinley's. It's a great place to get together with friends, family, and/or business associates. The service is always excellent, the food is fresh and well prepared, there's a nice selection of beers, wines and mixed drinks. Everyone on staff is friendly, helpful and fun. It's one of my favorite places to go in Anchorage.
The lamb shank and prime rib were great. The lobster ravioli and caprese salad were amazing. The bread beforehand was not so great. The restaurant didn't have a romantic ambience which is what we were hoping for but the service was outstanding. Everyone that walked by asked if we needed anything regardless if the were our server or not.
Went out for Valentine’s Day and had an amazing experience. Some of the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant!
The food and service is always great at Kinley's! Make a reservation if you can!
My wife and I have been going hear annually for the past 5 years and sadly this is the last time. The service is still outstanding but the quality of food has gone down significantly.
We went on Valentine's day for lunch. Unfortunately, there was a big group in the back and the server and cooks took awhile to prepare the food. Our server was fantastic, though, he kept checking in with us as to the status. I don't remember his name.
We typically really enjoy Kinley’s this experience my husband’s food was excellent he had the scallops special. I had the short rib dinner and one was tough and it was dry overall. The salad and calamari were excellent. Service normally good was distracted.
The staff was short and inattentive. The food was ok but really salty, and everything was covered in horrible brown sauce which made everything else inedible. It wasn’t bad, but definitely tailored to an elderly crowd. I would have appreciated better service for what we ended up paying, will not be returning. We were there to celebrate my college graduation, made a reservation and got a really crappy table by a cork wall that smelled.
I reserved a table for my group for Saturday evening right when it opened. We were seated right away, drinks and foods were delicious. The server was knowledgeable of the menu and specials.
Had to send my food back as the chicken was hard as a rock and dry.... my friend received her chicken for the salad maybe ten minutes after her salad... no compensation or apology
Food was excellent. King salmon special and double cut pork chop we’re both done to perfection and presented nicely. Service was prompt and friendly. Minor criticism about service in general was that it was a bit disorganized. Mixed bag of servers stingy with clean silverware. Had to ask for fresh silverware after appetizers. Food was brought out by someone other than our waiter No fresh pepper offered. Minor details but worth mentioning in a restaurant that was otherwise outstanding. Will be back.
The service was great, our waitress was very good. The food was really poor quality. Our salad was the only enjoyable part of the meal. Our wine flight was nice we enjoyed it. My filet mignon was undercooked and the mashed potatoes tasted as if they came out of a box. My husband had the schnitzel it was really dry and flavorless. Our calamari had no flavor and they use to have the best in town.
We were seated for our reservation with no waiting. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. Lunch was tasty (1 special, 2 rockfish, 1 halibut, 1 quiche, 1 turkey sandwich) and satisfying.
The service was excellent! The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. No problems for getting a reservation for 8 people. We normally don't order dessert, but we had to try the chocolate chocolate cake. We will definitely come back. Thank you!
This was the first date night since our daughter was born 4 months ago and we have frequented Kinley’s many times so that’s why we decided to come here for our special evening. The pace of dining was so very disappointing, we ordered baked and raw oysters and also the crab cakes. We were on our first crab cake when the server announced that our entree order was already ready... that being said here comes the rest of our meal, duck and almond halibut. The duck leg/thigh was fabulous but the breast was very over salted. My halibut was cold and over cooked sadly, I did not even eat half of the fish. The server never asked how our entrees were so I didn’t have an opportunity to voice that it was very dissatisfying. Our meal was over almost before it began, we normally have a coursed our meal and enjoy lots of cocktails but we felt so rushed. So sad when we don’t have much private time for each other these days.
You’re missing out on a lot of extra money when you rush the guest, no time for extra drinks, we normally always enjoy am after dinner treat but with our poor meal we didn’t bother.
