   I honestly don’t understand how this place has such good reviews. From the moment we were seated, the service was inattentive. The server asked if we wanted our mains and sides served together, and we said yes — yet everything came out separately. When I asked about it, I got a vague “oh, it’s coming” and they walked away. No water refills, no check-ins. The food itself was a bigger disappointment. The freshness didn’t even compare to what you’d get at a neighborhood budget sushi place, but the prices were far from budget. Even the payment process was slow and disorganized. No plans to return.

   We always have a great experience at KINKA. The food is delicious and our server was attentive and was great with recommending things to try. We had a girls night out to catch up and overstayed our time. But they were very generous and kind to us.

   Very good sushi and related Japanese food. Allowed substitutions. Better than MIku nearby IMHO and a bit less expensive.

   The food and ambiance was great, however the service was lacking. We were seated and only 1 place-setting was there. We asked twice to get cutlery and plates, and they went off and forgot both times, until we started reaching for the settings from a neighbouring vacant table. They brought shared plates without sharing utensils. Otherwise it was good, and the tasting menu was good value.
