The Kingsway is a fine dining Asian restaurant by Chef Ashwin Vilkhu, a 2025 James Beard Award nominee for Best Chef: South, and the next chapter from the family behind the acclaimed Saffron NOLA.
Inspired by the deeply personal flavors of childhood dinners and the cultural crossroads of Asia, The Kingsway offers a contemporary interpretation of tradition—refined, intentional, and rooted in heritage.

Set in a Japandi-Scandinavian inspired space defined by clean lines, natural textures, and understated elegance, the dining room mirrors the philosophy of the kitchen: thoughtful, minimal, and quietly bold. Precision and warmth guide each guest experience, from the first pour to the last bite.

    Five stars for The KingsWay. Terrific food. An excellent vibe, beautiful and comfortable interior, great music. The servers are dressed sharp and very professional. Looking forward to another visit. JM New Orleans.

    An absolutely beautiful space. Service very sharp. Extremely well thought out wine list. Food delicious and very creative. Will go again at every opportunity. Congratulations to the owners and Chef.

    The Kingsway continues the Vilkhu family’s tradition of delivering an innovative and inspiring cuisine. The food wss sublime and the service outstanding. It on the pricy side but considering that you get a 4 course prix fixe menu, it is definitely worth it. We will be back.

    This was best meals we’ve had in while!! Every dish was full of flavors and presentation like 2 Michelin Star restaurant. Our waiter was wonderful and we can’t wait to return.

    Every item on the tasting menu was better than the next, We (3 of us) ordered one of each to try and shared. Taylor , the sommelier, was more than knowledgeable and very personable. Tried some terrific new wines from Spain.
