Kings Biergarten & Restaurant
King’s Biergarten and Restaurant serves German comfort food. Founder and owner Hans Sitter turned an old computer shop into a quaint neighborhood establishment popular with tourists and locals. Its wide menu has options for kids and adults all at affordable prices.
Try one of its many German appetizers, like its Liptauer spread, schnitzel fingers, Bavarian pickles or its schmatz sampler. King’s Biergarten has a wide array of schnitzel and bratwursts and guests have the option of creating their own plates. There are Viennese specialties, like its smoked pork loin, crispy pork shank and its goulash. The bar menu features many different kinds of German beer and a variety of signature cocktails. Featured widely in the local press, King’s Biergarten has food and fun for everyone. Gluten free options available.
We were a party of 6 and we were seated next to a loonngg table with lots of children, so it was noisy. Two people ordered the strips and had to ask for sauce. But all in all we enjoyed being together.
The food, ambience, service was excellent. The tickytocky's was fun. My group had a blast, we would definately be back. Justin our waiter have good recommendations.
Great place! Fantastic atmosphere, beer and food! Love it every time we go!
Great food! Great atmosphere! The beer is great and the service excellent.
Was our first time here, we had such a great time, our waitress was amazing and helped us with the entire menu. The drinks were good, but the beer was amazing, totally recommend trying a few.
The place is really nice. As soon as we pulled up I was impressed with the murals on the buildings. Inside was nice as well. I suggest having the Mountain Man sausage. Even if you feel squeamish about the ingredients just take a chance I promise you will not be disappointed. Can't wait to go back and try something else. Happy eating.
We were there for my daughters birthday with family. Food, service and atmosphere was great. Everyone enjoyed their meal and had a really good time. Jullian gave us very good service and enjoyed his good personality. Will come back again.
This past Sunday was probably one of the worst experiences we have ever had in going for the last 10 years. It took forever to get our drinks and I was even after them taking forever to come back to the table only to tell us that they were out of certain beers.
Our family absolutely LOVED the entire evening at King's Biergarten...We will definitely be back!!
Made a reservation for 10. Table was ready within +/-5min of scheduled time. Went for daughters birthday party and had a great time. Service was 5stars! Great food. Always a winner. Would recommend repeatedly.
I liked this place, but reviews from the family were mixed.
Ambience - Funky
I loved it. Reminded me of the kitschy places in Fredericksburg. Great vibe... for me anyway. Had my wife and daughter underwhelmed... they felt like it was a dilapidated theme park restaurant. I was just happy.
Food - Ok
Honestly, pretty pedestrian fare. Oily sides, slightly over cooked Schnitzel and my wife and daughter swore that the sandwich buns smelled... bad. The beer selection was great. But overall, I’m not sure you’d pick this place for a food event.
Service - Great
Fun, unpretentious and thoughtful waitstaff. They made the food better.
All in all, I’ll be back... maybe just by myself... but I’ll be back.
Seated in the bar. Not great seating if you want to enjoy the festivities.
First time at Kings Biergarten and I have to say I loved everything about it! Will be returning soon!
We had about 15 people in our group. The waitress brought the giant sized beer to my husband by mistake - still cast us. The bill included another couple's appetizer and I was a little taken aback by the price of a soda and the fact that I was charged for the refill.
Awesome place...awesome food!!!! Secpnd time here and I love it. Happy hour drinks and bites are absolutely a must.
Solid place... awesome patio and environment
My first visit and will not be my last. We have been trying to have dinner at King's for a while and finally got the chance. Food was great. Beer was amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was great except that I ate and drank far too much.
King’s Biergarten was a wonderful experience! Great food, authentic menu, cute employee outfits, and even German music playing! Loved the food, great service, and I can’t wait to return!
Sugi saki sugi saki hoy hoy hoy! Sugi saki sugi saki hoy hoy hoy! Sugi saki sugi saki hoy hoy hoy! Ein Prosit!
Fabulous family friendly restaurant! The food is excellent - brunch, lunch or dinner - all are wonderful. But if you are in the mood for a little something, grab your honey, a cold German brew and an appetizer. They have some unique really great choices.
Kings Biergarten never disappoints. I love coming here on the weekends when the live polka music is in full swing. It makes me feel like I'm back home in Minnesota with the rest of the Nordic relatives
Great food and atmosphere
This restaurant reminds me of the Astroworld's Apine Valley back in the day. In spite of its castle exterior, it is a bit hard to see from the main road if you've never been before. The waiter we had was very nice and helpful. The pretzel appetizer was disappointing, but they have three vegan wurst options which was a welcome surprise. I ordered the apple sage sausage on a pretzel bun. It was really delicious. The apple strudel birthday dessert and the froze were fantastic. It's not a fancy place, but it is a fun change from the same-ole, same-ole if you're open for a little adventure in the 'burbs.
Went for the all you can eat sausage special for the month of august with some friends, and it was great.
It's very disappointing that you cannot sit outside due to the fact that this restaurant allows smoking. Yep, 2018 and still allowing that! The inside waitress was incredibly slow, then a new waitress shows up and says the other one was going home for the evening and she will be taking over and that the last girl was in training. That explains that. Luckily the new girl was very attentive. The schnitzel ordered was very good. Wurstfest was a disappointment. Now they nickel and dime you for everything. $1.50 per each bun...toppings, sauces....etc. I only want mustard so it didn't effect me but others at the table were disappointed. Stick to the regular menu and you'll be happier. We've been here several times over the years. It seems to be slipping in experience. Oh and the whole birthday thing they do is obnoxiously loud.
Food is mass produced and very bland. Not authentic German. Air Conditioning not working and ceiling fans going full blast so now there's a breeze from overhead. We love German food and were so disappointed in the food quality and ambiance. Big screen TV with football. We didn't come for a sports bar feeling, but for a German ambiance.
Very disappointed and it will take a lot of convincing for us to go back to Kings Biergarten. Recommend restaurant owner go back to his main chef and relook at recipes and menu. Everything from the Schnitzel, Red Cabbage, Spaetzles, Strudel have become very mass produced and totally bland and Americanized. Very dissappointed.
we had a reseveration this place has no parking for the number of people they serve. People go here and spend several hours eating, drinking and enjoying music UPGRADE PARKING PLEASE
Great food and service - looks like a German castle on the outside
Beer is overpriced but food is fairly priced
We had a large party and they did an amazing job at accommodating our group! The waitress was on her game! She had all of our orders correct and it came out in a timely manner. She also made sure our drinks were always full. She did a great job of keeping our bills divided and they did a fun cheer to celebrate our birthday boy! Great overall experience!!! We will definitely return!
This was the perfect place for a group meal for my husband's birthday. We had a group of 12 and our one and only waiter was amazing at keeping up with our drink and food orders. He had an upbeat attitude and was overall just fantastic. The kitchen kept the cake for us and brought it out at the perfect time, at our request, without singing etc.. Husband is not a fan of spectacles, and the restaurant was happy to abide by our requests rather than push a public ordeal upon us, which some places like to do in order to appear festive. The food was amazing. The beer selection was wonderful. The patio was a great place to relax, chat and have a cigarette post meal. We will definitely keep coming back.
Food was good, Service was extremely good. Food was a little pricey but we did go a little overboard trying lots of different stuff as it was our first time there. We look forward to going back again.
We went here because of the reviews. Unfortunately the reviews were not on point. We were sat in the bar area which is less the desirable (the place was not busy and we had a reservation). We could watch and see all the employees hanging out and chit chatting with each other.
It's hard to tell if the place is clean or if it is designed to look dirty. Our server was friendly but not vey attentive. Order a appetizer and our meal at the same time. Our meal came out and then 10 minutes later our appetizer came. The meal was raw and when told to the server he just shrugged it off. The ingredients were not fresh and the food tasted sour. Our server only came to our table to take our order, to bring our food and to take the plates away. No refills for drinks and never asked how our meal was. Very disappointed and will NEVER go back!
Wiener Schnitzel and sausages were fantastic! Great beer selection. Staff was friendly and attentive.
King's Biergarten has a charming decor and eating there is lots of fun. Kings has good food and good service.
Greatly enjoyed the food and drink at this unique dining experience. I would return here again.
We sat out on the covered porch because we brought our Beagle. But the food, waiter, and atmosphere was great. Cannot wait until they open the one in League City.
We enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. Have been going there since they opened and have never sent anything back for any reason.
My family really enjoyed it, My wife especially. The food was great, our waitress was super patient and friendly. The ambience was very lively. I always love when the owner comes around asking how everything is, shows how dedicated and passionate he is about customer service. Going this weekend again!
I was disappointed when the hostess didn’t have my reservation from open table. She admitted that she doesn’t get that information. I had a reservation for 10. One would think that would be a big enough reservation to ensure the table was ready when requested. Luckily they were not busy and we were able to get our table quickly. I had 2 sides and 2 drinks and the bill was $25. With tip it was $30. This is a bit pricey considering the sides I had were sauerkraut and the loaded noodles.
