Kings Biergarten & Restaurant
King’s Biergarten and Restaurant serves German comfort food. Founder and owner Hans Sitter turned an old computer shop into a quaint neighborhood establishment popular with tourists and locals. Its wide menu has options for kids and adults all at affordable prices.

King’s Biergarten has a wide array of schnitzel and bratwursts and guests have the option of creating their own plates. There are Viennese specialties, like its smoked pork loin, crispy pork shank and its goulash. The bar menu features many different kinds of German beer and a variety of signature cocktails. Fabulous family friendly restaurant! The food is excellent - brunch, lunch or dinner - all are wonderful. But if you are in the mood for a little something, grab your honey, a cold German brew and an appetizer. They have some unique really great choices.
Kings Biergarten never disappoints. I love coming here on the weekends when the live polka music is in full swing. It makes me feel like I'm back home in Minnesota with the rest of the Nordic relatives
Great food and atmosphere
This restaurant reminds me of the Astroworld's Apine Valley back in the day. In spite of its castle exterior, it is a bit hard to see from the main road if you've never been before. The waiter we had was very nice and helpful. The pretzel appetizer was disappointing, but they have three vegan wurst options which was a welcome surprise. I ordered the apple sage sausage on a pretzel bun. It was really delicious. The apple strudel birthday dessert and the froze were fantastic. It's not a fancy place, but it is a fun change from the same-ole, same-ole if you're open for a little adventure in the 'burbs.
Went for the all you can eat sausage special for the month of august with some friends, and it was great.
It's very disappointing that you cannot sit outside due to the fact that this restaurant allows smoking. Yep, 2018 and still allowing that! The inside waitress was incredibly slow, then a new waitress shows up and says the other one was going home for the evening and she will be taking over and that the last girl was in training. That explains that. Luckily the new girl was very attentive. The schnitzel ordered was very good. Wurstfest was a disappointment. Now they nickel and dime you for everything. $1.50 per each bun...toppings, sauces....etc. I only want mustard so it didn't effect me but others at the table were disappointed. Stick to the regular menu and you'll be happier. We've been here several times over the years. It seems to be slipping in experience. Oh and the whole birthday thing they do is obnoxiously loud.
Food is mass produced and very bland. Not authentic German. Air Conditioning not working and ceiling fans going full blast so now there's a breeze from overhead. We love German food and were so disappointed in the food quality and ambiance. Big screen TV with football. We didn't come for a sports bar feeling, but for a German ambiance.
Very disappointed and it will take a lot of convincing for us to go back to Kings Biergarten. Recommend restaurant owner go back to his main chef and relook at recipes and menu. Everything from the Schnitzel, Red Cabbage, Spaetzles, Strudel have become very mass produced and totally bland and Americanized. Very dissappointed.
we had a reseveration this place has no parking for the number of people they serve. People go here and spend several hours eating, drinking and enjoying music UPGRADE PARKING PLEASE
Great food and service - looks like a German castle on the outside
Beer is overpriced but food is fairly priced
We had a large party and they did an amazing job at accommodating our group! The waitress was on her game! She had all of our orders correct and it came out in a timely manner. She also made sure our drinks were always full. She did a great job of keeping our bills divided and they did a fun cheer to celebrate our birthday boy! Great overall experience!!! We will definitely return!
This was the perfect place for a group meal for my husband's birthday. We had a group of 12 and our one and only waiter was amazing at keeping up with our drink and food orders. He had an upbeat attitude and was overall just fantastic. The kitchen kept the cake for us and brought it out at the perfect time, at our request, without singing etc.. Husband is not a fan of spectacles, and the restaurant was happy to abide by our requests rather than push a public ordeal upon us, which some places like to do in order to appear festive. The food was amazing. The beer selection was wonderful. The patio was a great place to relax, chat and have a cigarette post meal. We will definitely keep coming back.
Food was good, Service was extremely good. Food was a little pricey but we did go a little overboard trying lots of different stuff as it was our first time there. We look forward to going back again.
We went here because of the reviews. Unfortunately the reviews were not on point. We were sat in the bar area which is less the desirable (the place was not busy and we had a reservation). We could watch and see all the employees hanging out and chit chatting with each other.
It's hard to tell if the place is clean or if it is designed to look dirty. Our server was friendly but not vey attentive. Order a appetizer and our meal at the same time. Our meal came out and then 10 minutes later our appetizer came. The meal was raw and when told to the server he just shrugged it off. The ingredients were not fresh and the food tasted sour. Our server only came to our table to take our order, to bring our food and to take the plates away. No refills for drinks and never asked how our meal was. Very disappointed and will NEVER go back!
Wiener Schnitzel and sausages were fantastic! Great beer selection. Staff was friendly and attentive.
King's Biergarten has a charming decor and eating there is lots of fun. Kings has good food and good service.
Greatly enjoyed the food and drink at this unique dining experience. I would return here again.
We sat out on the covered porch because we brought our Beagle. But the food, waiter, and atmosphere was great. Cannot wait until they open the one in League City.
We enjoyed our food and the service was excellent. Have been going there since they opened and have never sent anything back for any reason.
My family really enjoyed it, My wife especially. The food was great, our waitress was super patient and friendly. The ambience was very lively. I always love when the owner comes around asking how everything is, shows how dedicated and passionate he is about customer service. Going this weekend again!
I was disappointed when the hostess didn’t have my reservation from open table. She admitted that she doesn’t get that information. I had a reservation for 10. One would think that would be a big enough reservation to ensure the table was ready when requested. Luckily they were not busy and we were able to get our table quickly. I had 2 sides and 2 drinks and the bill was $25. With tip it was $30. This is a bit pricey considering the sides I had were sauerkraut and the loaded noodles.
We made reservations for a group of 10 at 3PM on a Sunday. When we got there, we were told we would have to wait until 80% of our party had arrived (which is understandable) and if we would mind sitting outside. As it was rather warm outside, we stated our preference for indoors. When the rest of our party arrived, we waited an additional 10-15 minutes while they scrambled to put our reserved table together. Last I checked, making a reservation means they would have a table prepared for when you arrive. We were placed over by the bar where no one else was sitting. Temperature was a little stifling and warm. We waited another 10-15 minutes before one of us got up to ask if we had a waiter as we had been approached by no one. A waitress finally came up to our table, never introduced herself, never apologized for the wait, no welcoming presence or smile, just started handed out menus and asked if we wanted anything to drink. We ordered alcoholic beverages and she walked off before we could ask for some water. We then waited another 20 minutes before we grabbed a manager to see if we could get some water. About that time, the waitress came back and asked if we wanted a round of waters. I'm not sure if she had a bunch of tables on the other side, but after ordering our food she told us she was leaving for the day and that another waitress would be taking over. Ashley/Ashlyn was a complete 180 from the first. She introduced herself, smiled, continuously asked if we needed anything and checked on us. She literally saved the impression we had of the service of this place. The food was good so if you go in ask for Ashley/Ashlyn as your waitress.
Very good food and atmosphere. Great service! Desserts were amazing!
Everything here was perfect! Our waitress took extra time to explain drinks and food, waited on us to make sure we had all that we needed, and the food was delicious! I highly recommend King's for the family and special occasions.
We go here because we love the atmosphere and the food. We have gone to Kings with a large group for birthdays and mothers day. The service was slower than usual; it was obvious they had just opened for the day.
Get together with family to celebrate. They were able to seat us no problem. It is always a good time at King’s Biergarten, great food, great service and great atmosphere.
It was a great first time there! The waitress was very nice and helpful. I ordered the Hans Half Chicken and it was delicious and a very large portion.
My Uncle was German and I loved his cooking so I really wanted a little taste of Home.
I can’t wait to go back and try other things.
My only disappointment was the German chocolate cake. It tasted like I was eating only coconut. I’ll make my German chocolate cake (uncles recipe) and I guarantee you’ll have no complaints. The cake and the icing should work in concert with each other, not one overpowering the other.
Next time I go eat there.. I’ll bring them a cake to thank them for the delicious meal!
Friends from the area recommended this place as a fun place to go with great food. It delivered so much more! Kitschy German beer garden in a faux roadside castle full on with costumes, live music and really great food to boot! The schnitzel sausages and potato salad were delish! Good value too. A very fun night.
We were there for my mom's 87th birthday and her first time to eat German food even though her family was German. She LOVED it! The whole family fell in love with Kings. The service was excellent, and the restaurant itself was charming. We had a great time--best birthday ever! Thank you so much for the memories....
Made reservations 2 days in advance then had an employee call and confirm the reservations the morning of. Come to find out they were hosting a special event at 7, our reservation were at 5:30. They did not honor the reservation due to the special event and we had to stand in a 30 person line to get in. I was able to speak to the manager who was extremely rude about the situation but offered to help. In the end he said he could not put a table of six together so he thought it would be fine to but two of my friends on one side of the restaurant and then the other 4 on the complete other side. My 2 friends ended up leaving as the resaurant allows smoking and his wife was pregnant and it was upsetting her stomach. We stayed for the evening as we had drove down from Humble meet or friends. The food is bar food quality, nothing more. And the staff constantly hounded you to order more overly priced drinks. The Bar staff was especially horible. I will personally never return to this establishment. Nor will the other 2 couples.
We loved the Valentine special!!! Lots of fun and good dinner!!!
One word sums up my feeling for King's, GREAT! I've been coming to King's for a few years now and I've never been disappointed. Great food, great beer, great times.
We love King's Biergarten! The food and service are outstanding. On this night, my mother in law was in town visiting, so we wanted to bring her somewhere fun. When we arrived, apparently there was an issue with our Open Table reservation. Our reservation was for 5:15pm (I had the email to confirm), but they had us down for 7pm. We had tickets for a show at 7:30, so waiting too long would have made us late. Fortunately, the staff was amazing and found us a table right away. The wait staff is so friendly and the food is delicious! Such a cool place!
Atmosphere was great other than it being screaming loud in the outside covered area. They could have turned down the volume a tad. You could. It hear each other speak. Our waitress and her trainee were super sweet they just seemed a bit over welded It took forever for a few things to get to our table and things were never even brought such as coffee etc
We have been here many times and brought another couple who was there for the first time. They loved the food and atmosphere. It is definitely an energetic restaurant. We all had the 1/2 schnitzel and sausage meals and they were delicious. The owners came by our table to check and make sure everything was enjoyable and to see if we needed anything. You can’t go wrong here.
I TOOK MY SON IN FOR HIS 17TH BIRTHDAY HOPING HE WOULD GET TO EXPERIENCE AND ENJOY THE LIVE YODELING AND GERMAN FOOD. INSTEAD WE GOT AN OK COVER BAND AND GERMAN FAIR. WHILE HE AND I ENJOYED THE FOOD AND THE SLIGHT EXPERIENCE, THE BAND COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER. NEXT TIME ILL ASK WHAT MUSIC WILL BE PLAYING BEFORE PLANNING AN EVENT WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT.
We always enjoy our time here. Our waitress was fabulous and took great care of us! The food was delicious.
Open Table doesn’t work at this restaurant. It took almost an hour to get a table and 2 hours to get our food.
Y'all got rid of our favorite appetizer, the Sliders! It was a family favorite. We really want y'all to bring them back.
We’ve been here numerous times and always fun. The food is average to good and the value is great. The live music is always very entertaining and includes the folks dining . A great value right now at Christmas time. If you buy a gift certificate you get another one for half the amount you purchased. EXAMPLE: we bought a $100gc and received another for $50 for free.
Great for groups or families .
This was for our annual Christmas party for work. Year over year we love it. Prost!
