   Me & my daughter have been before (her verdict - “the best burgers in the country”!) but we wanted to take my husband to show him what all the fuss was about. So we decided to take him for lunch. We travelled the 45 mins to get there & were not disappointed! The service & the food was excellent! We all enjoyed our meals & will definitely be back again. We were sorry we didn’t get our waitress’s name but she was excellent - even accommodating our daughter’s fussy request for “burger & bun, nothing else, no green, just brown & beige!” As my husband said on the way home, “why isn’t this closer to our house so we can go more regularly?” Highly recommend this place! 5/5

   Did explain to the server whilst our meals were tasty they were disappointing as only Luke warm and the roast potatoes not crispy Really no where near as good as previous visits sadly Was told the chef would be advised but didn’t get any feedback

   We had a fabulous evening, staff were wonderful as usual, attentive and friendly, the food was brilliant and the ambience was festive and happy without being overpowering!

   Brought some friends from out of town. Nice pub but the beef was a bit tough for the Sunday roast. Will go again. Nice friendly staff and good value for money.

   It is a lovely setting and the pub looks really nice, the type of old school pub feel but modern. I'm afraid that is as good as it got really. The tables felt sticky to touch, although visually clean. The menu's looked well worn visually and could of done with being reprinted. The service was quick and they staff were very pleasant and welcoming. We order Sunday roast, the price was reasonable and the portions were more than adequate, a nice hearty size portion so no complaints there. The food was not that great, even thought he plate was hot, most of the food was luke warm. The roast potatoes were not crispy and lacked any real flavour, they were also not nice and fluffy inside. We had the trio of meats, Beef, Pork and Chicken. I have to say, the chicken was cooked to perfection and was very delicious. The beef was very over cooked and touch (Glad I did not have the beef roast!) the Pork belly was again overcooked so too soft. You get loads of vegetables on the plate and a further side dish. The carrots were very delicious, the rest of the vegetables were bland. We ordered a side of cauliflower cheese, and these were whilst piping hot, under cooked and not that cheesy either. The Yorkshire puddings were a good size and tasty. Based on the above, we would not return. Some of the other food that came out of the kitchen did look nice but was disappointing overall to warrant coming back when there are so many other pubs and restaurants to chose from.

    We used the Kings Arms whilst staying at a Stansted hotel before holiday. Great pub that serves food.
