Staff were extremely unhelpful to the point of condescending, food was mediocre and expensive I had to get up, find someone to get my partner some utensils for desert. Desert arrived without any. Staff then appeared with one teaspoon, when what was required as a desert spoon and a fork. Not a good meal compared with the old King Henrys, and all staff really need to lift their game 100%. Out the back toilets were filthy no soap in the ladies loo and paper towels scattered everywhere. You have definitely lost a customer though your own undoing.

Unfortunately, we checked reviews for King Henry's when we were already there! We should have done this prior. There was a severe shortage of staff able to look after tables. We waited almost an hour from taking our seats until our food arrived. Not acceptable. They need more staff. Having said that, the food was lovely.

Terrible experience. Drove an hour up to restaurant from Melbourne and lined up trying to get in for our booking. The venue was severely understaffed and had no manager working to provide guidance - the poor wait staff were overwhelmed with a line of 40 diners stuck outside, and not knowing what to do. Existing diners who had already finished their meal were also waiting around trying to find someone to settle their bill so they could leave. After 45 mins of waiting to get in, a diner walked outside and spoke to all of us waiting in line that he personally had been seated since 12pm, and was still waiting for his food [at 2.15pm]. At this point, all diners waiting in line decided to cancel their booking and leave. This was very disappointing as it was after 2pm and everyone had to try and find other plans for Mothers Day. It is also disapointing for the venue who no doubt would have had high levels of food waste, and missed revenue from all the cancellations. The owners of the venue need to have a serious look at how they handle high traffic occasions and ensure they are prepared because there were many disappointed potential customers who will never return, and will have only bad things to say [me included].

Booked for Mother’s Day - waited for 2 hours for food. Staff tried to be helpful but were under pressure due lack of staff and management. Tables full of empty plates, the venue disorganised and many unhappy customers pacing around waiting for food. Big disappointment on a special day

Waited 25 mins for someone to give us a table. We had a booking at 130pm and get there at 125pm Staff were running around without any clear system. Lot of people abandoned their bookings.

I have never been to a restaurant that has such bad service and disorganisation. They had too many people booked and not enough food or wait staff. We left without ordering and so did many others. Staff were rude and there was no manager there looking after things. One toilet was blocked up and the other had no toilet paper and basin had no soap. Not enough parking spots because they stuffed so many people in and we had to park way down the road and walk along the busy road. I’m sure the For Sale sign will be back up soon. Shame because it’s such a beautiful spot

It was a bad experience on Mother's Day. Waited for nearly two hours and did not receive our food. We then left the restaurant.

We were so disappointed. The restaurant was severely understaffed to handled the amount of guests. They should have informed us of this at the start, not apologie at the end. We had 5 people booked for 1 pm. Family Birthday occasion. Our orders were taken 20 minutes after sitting down, we had to chase our drinks order. Our food was 1 entree, 5 mains and 1 side dish. After 1 hour wait, we received 1 entree and 3 mains. 3 mains were cold and sent back to kitchen. 3 mains returned warm this time. We never received the 2 other mains or the side dish having waited till 3 pm and we wanted to leave. Apparently only 2 staff on in the kitchen and our order was not sent through correctly at the start. The person who made that mistake totally avoided us, and another lovely staff member tried their best to explain and appease us. It could have been fabulous but it wasn't. I felt sorry for 2 of the lovely staff members, but the 1 who made the mistake in the first place regarding our order didnt care at all. Surely experience equates to 5 people, therefore 5 drinks, 5 mains, plus entrees, plus sides, plus dessert or coffee. Other people came in after us, got their food, had eaten and left within the hour. Their wait staff was on the ball.
