They sat us at a table that smelled of sour milk we moved. The table we moved to no one noticed us for about 20 min and then the waitress came up and she was the only saving grace for the restaurant. She was very nice and got everything right and out in a good time. When we were eating there were fruit fly’s all around our drinks. I will say I will not go back. The food was good in spots and burning hot in other spots. Just not a good experience. The place wasn’t even busy. I hope they promote the waitress to manager cause the manager was horrible.
Great food and service all the time!
Great food! Service was good, but she was busy! Will be back!
Kinda sad. We really liked Kinfork in the past, but it’s been over a year since we have been there. On a Weds night they were nearly deserted, and yet seemed understaffed. There was no one at the front desk. Service was really slow. Our meal, which took an extra long time to make it to the table, was lukewarm, like it had been sitting in the kitchen for a bit. We did let the waiter know how we felt, and he eventually came back to us with a $10 coupon towards another visit. But we thought it was strange not to have a manger visit the table.
We hope it was just a off night, but it felt like a place treading water.
They only had two types of wine in stock out of 10-12 listed on the menu on a Friday night. Server seemed to be the only one there at 5:30pm so service was very slow. Food was decent. Probably won’t be back.
Had a great meal at Kinfork! We started our meal with the hush puppies. The jalapeño lime sauce was great, it gave the hush puppies a tangy savory taste. My sister had the BBQ brisket nachos which she enjoyed. For my main meal I had the party melt, which was amazing, I highly recommend it. The flavors of the cheese blended great with the juicy burger, making a rich taste in every bite. For my side I had the honey butter cornbread, which went well with my burger. If your in the area and need a bite to eat, I highly recommend dining here.
Food was amazing. Our waiter was horrible! No silverware, no napkins, had to repeat things multiple times. Other staff seemed nice though
Stopped here for dinner for the first time. I had the Knife and Fork burger- fantastic! Definitely, something I'd go back for. My friend had the pulled pork and rib platter and loved it. I've been to their sister location, RackHouse in Arlington Heights several times, this menu is a bit different but still focused on BBQ.
We tried this restaurant for the first time and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is cool, the food was good, and I loved the moonshine cocktail I got. Only negative thing was that no one was up front when we walked in (on a Saturday night!) so we had to stand around for awhile until someone showed up.
Cole slaw was spicy and cannot be subbed out. There were only about 4 other people dining at the same time as us and it took a very long time to get our food. The sauce on the pulled pork was very bland, no flavor whatsoever. I will not be back.
Food is always good! Went with the Brisket Nachos - Oak smoked wings - awesome
Food was not good. Parts of the meal were cold upon arrival at the table. Donut dessert was not cooked all the way through so the middle was raw. So disappointing. Service was ok. Not great, but ok. Restaurant was empty at 6:00pm. We will not be returning.
Everything this is always great! The food is excellent! Servers are exceptional at what they do!
Food was alright, not bad but not exceptional. Service while a bit slow was super friendly. Good BBQ place in the area but I prefer other ones in Chicago better
Oak smoked wings. - spicy bbq - brisket sandwich - what else can I say but this is the 9th time I’ve had lunch or dinner here! It’s better than good! Check it out for yourself! I’m not lying! Try the oak smoked wings
actually left full and happy:) would have liked more barbeque and burnt pieces in My pulled pork sandwich but it was sooo yummy and generous with sweet potatoes fries!Thankyou for filling me up. I only cheat eat one day a week and I want it to count! Will be back lots !!
Restaurant was empty at 6pm. Not a good sign at all. Service was a little slow and food was average. Much better BBQ options out there.
Good barbecue place, good size portions, service was very good.
I have dined here before and it was very good. I came back for my Mother’s Birthday. She loves BBQ and my wife and I raved about this restaurant. I ordered the triple combo and was disappointed. The sausage was burner and dry. The brisket was also dry.
Really good BBQ at a reasonable price.
Wing were good as usual - only problem was the guy who brought out the food didn’t know which wings went to who! 2 days later my co-worker is still complaining that someone ate his order and he received the garlic bbq - my wings were good
Wings - Wings & more wings - never a complaint here for lunch! The wings are smoked to perfection - staff is friendly
We had a large party on a Sunday evening. The waiter was a lot of fun and extremely accommodating to all of our needs. He even allowed us to continue past closing time, to let us finish celebrating a birthday.
Wings are always great! 2 choices with a baked potato - perfect lunch
Attentive server. Food was good.
The food was good but there were gnats flying all over the restaurant. We actually had to continually swat at the flies while trying to eat to keep them from landing on the food. We were sat next to a window with a view of the mall and saw a lot of gnats just resting on the inner window. Although the food was ok the bug situation made it an unpleasant experience.
Smoked wings were great! Two different kinds of wings at the table - both were tasty! I did have to look around for our server -my drink was empty before the food arrived - had to ask for refills
The burnt tip ends were very good.
Drinks are on the weak side for the price. Maybe an off night, but brisket sandwich did not contain slices of meat-only small pieces in sauce. Ambiance and service were good.
Best bbq we have had in a very long time. The pulled pork didn’t even need to be smothered in sauce because it was that good.
Wonderful food and service every time!
Food was great as usual....never busy but music is always loud.
The beef brisket was very good. Unfortunately the server was often MIA and lost out on a good tip.
Overall the food was good but the baked potato was a little undercooked.
Drinks were new and priced right
the coleslaw was just so-so
This is the second time we've eaten at Kinfork and the food was just as good as the first. The 1/2 price appetizers were great as well as the entrée's that we ordered. They have several choices of potatoes. My favorite are TOTS! You can order sweet potato fries if you're trying to simulate eating healthy. All in all, a great place to shoot the breeze if you're shopping at Woodfield.
The food is terrible! A baked potato that was basically a brick, corn bread that was off color and hard enough to dent a car if you threw it and tasteless food. Meats were a meager OK but this restaurant is not a good place for BBQ. Drinks decent but that’s all. Not expensive but not worth what they advertise either. Tasteless food was definitely a turnoff along with aforementioned overcooked or undercooked side items. Service is lackluster. I don’t recommend this place despite its cute decor.
Food was delicious!!! Great BBQ options.
They seem a bit under staffed but the food was worth the wait.
No one to sea us. Bartender did so.
When wait staff could be found, poor thing was easily confused about her own menu. Or how to provide water for, yes, all of us. Despite wanting beer (OMG)
BBQ fine but fattier than I’d like.
Really great cheese curds. The batter was more like tempura than a breading which you typically find. Excellent 44 beer special. Very good pulled pork sandwich and ribs.
