Since opening its doors in late 2015 in the enchanting neighborhood of South Park, San
Diego, KINDRED has garnered recognition which transcends its plant-based credo,

We love Kindred! The food is delicious, the atmosphere is on point, and they were incredibly accommodating of our party's health needs (allergens & outdoor seating). Already looking forward to our next visit. The worst part is how loud it is—but it's hard to complain when that just means the place is well-loved!

Absolutely LOVE IT here. Everything is delicious and I’ve never been disappointed. Last night I had the charred greens and carbonara, the hot potatoes and the hidden wheel cocktail! Stunning. Obsessed. Best carbonara I’ve ever had - the staff is so kind and this is a staple on my list every time I come to town.

This is my second dining experience here (we come occasionally for cocktails). The food was amazing...the menu is different from the last time. Much more "comfort food" oriented. We started with the chimichurri skewers, which were nothing short of amazing! I might recommend getting the Skewer Battle where you get two of each type of skewer -- they were that good! Also got the torched carrots -- also very good. For entrees, I got the egg roll burger -- just the right amount of food and absolutely delicious (yes, it tasted like an egg roll...but a burger, too). My wife got the carbonara...so good! For drinks, I had the Moonbeam, which had an Irish whiskey base. Tasty! Service was fine...it was crowded, loud, and fun! The metal background music makes this spot seem more like an LA hotspot than anything in San Diego. Totally unique. Would definitely recommend!

Looked forward to a birthday dinner for my wife, drove down from North County w our 2 yr old, it took us over 30 mins to get our drinks alone, then we had to ask twice who our waiter was only after attempting to get our own drinks at the bar. My wife has food allergies so we needed to talk to a waiter before she knew what to order...Had to flag down a waitress who just came in on shift to help us who ended up being reliable for last portion of our evening. The food was tasty, drinks great, and the design of place is cool, but it all goes down the tubes when u can't get service. (Bill wasn't unreasonable either in the end)

My friend and I went to Kindred for lunch. Our server was very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu. The drinks and food were very good. It took about 45 minutes for us to get our food and during this time our server didn’t let us know why it was taking so long.
