Kinaara has always offered an amazing experience, and this visit followed suit. We had friends who had never been, and our server was so attentive and helpful with questions about the menu. The food was exceptional. All 8 of us enjoyed several menu items and had a wonderful experience!

The food was just not right tonight. I ordered something I’ve had many times before, chicken curry, but the heat in the medium level spice was so hot I couldn’t taste anything. My eyes were watering. There was no flavor. Only heat. I couldn’t eat it. Our waiter was rude from the second we sat down. It took me quite a while to catch his attention to explain that the food was off. He insisted that it was not. And he brought me some yogurt to add to the curry. It made it taste very odd. Not like a milder curry. But like an extremely hot yogurt. And when I told him I was going to send it back and not eat it, he told me that they would not be taking the food off my bill. I had eaten two bites I explained I would not pay for it. I heard him in the kitchen, referring me as “chicken curry lady“. He made me feel very stupid. I remained calm throughout the encounter. I asked to speak with the owner and explained the rude service, and that I had been going to his restaurant since it opened in millard. I had brought many friends and family there. I was offered an apology, and the food was taken off my bill. But I will never return. The server was truly the worst I’ve ever encountered. Instead, try saffron. The service and the food is consistently excellent

We got a recommendation to visit based on this being “the best in town”. It did not let us down!! The food was perfection, so dang good! We brought a friend who hadn’t tried Indian Food prior and it was the best for experience!!! We will definitely be back.

Not only is the food absolutely amazing, but the staff is so kind and friendly that it feels like coming home. We went there for our anniversary and we were so appreciative of how they celebrated! They gave us a card with everyone who was working's signature in it wishing us a happy anniversary. It really made our night!

Service was very slow and lacking even when it was not that busy inside. Food came with a sad amount of rice compared to the sauce you get. Flavor was lacking - I've had plenty of better Indian dishes for a more affordable price.

Excellent food, staff, and experience! I requested a quieter table since we were dining with a 3-month-old and Kinaara delivered. Our table was slightly secluded and the hostess ensured we were comfortable with the table and that it met our needs before seating us. Every dish we tried was fantastic. We will be back!

Our food was excellent, went on a Wednesday so we could order the Thali plate (it’s advertised as only available Wed and Thurs) we had a sampling of 6 dishes, rice pudding, naan and rice. Everything was well prepared Our party of 2 ordered two of these samplings, one veggie and one not veggie. We believe one of these plates could easily serve 3 people! Our waiter was knowledgeable but didn’t explain that to us. Leftovers are great, though, so we will be enjoying this plate at least one, if not two more times. It is a loud restaurant and it was full on a Wed night at 6:30. The noise level was my only negative for the visit. The atmosphere is beautiful and I appreciated the space between the tables. I didn’t feel like I was sitting on top of the other diners. Price was very comparable to other similar style Indian restaurants. The tab was under $100 for two with a tip. We plan to visit again!

Wonderful new venue with alcohol and cricket over the bar! Salmon Polichatpya was hotter (spice) than my wife remembers from the former spot and Vindaloo on lamb shank was INTENSE (waiter said a 7). Will return and try tandoori items.

Sat at bar for a drink before dinner, were totally ignored for what felt like a long time. There were maybe 8 other people at the bar and bartender was engaged in a long conversation with one couple. She finally nodded our way. Then she left, for a good long time. When we were seated, our table was in front of a giant TV which one of us had to sit facing. Not relaxing. Our waitress was very nice. We had to ask for utensils, no one noticed we had none. Food was okay, they were out of the entree we wanted most. We might go back for lunch but probably not again for dinner. It just felt like everything was a little off.

We strive to make everyone feel like a VIP when they are here, I am very sorry that was not the case for you. I (the owner) am the bartender you were referring to. I dropped the ball, obviously but in my defense I was not actually the bartender that night, I mostly helped with dishes and made drinks when needed. Thank you for saying you will give us a second chance, I hope we can live up to our own standards next time.

Our entire group liked what was ordered. We had a great time trying new things. The samosas were a hit with everyone. We were lucky enough to be there during Omaha Restaurant week and many opted for the prix fixe options- all of which were very good!

This is simply the best Indian food in Omaha. Everything is amazing, and our first time guests said they will certainly be back, and one first time Indian dining experience said, he is glad he has a new genre to add to his options. The spice level goes where you want it. I am not a vegan or vegetarian, but the Jackfruit Biryani is perfect and just like a chicken dish without the meat. So greatful for this families passion to share their countries dishes with us.

Delicious food , our water was outstanding! Only gave a bit lower because host seemed confused where to sit us ( made a reservation on open table) so waited at bar- which is fine but the bare tender was slow to acknowledge us. Eventually the bar back came over and chatted with us and got our drink orders. Food was very good. Spice levels were good. Lots to choose from. Liked there were plenty of vegan/ vegetarian options. Will return!

The spice level was inconsistent between dishes. The salmon dish was excellent. Server said dishes were not big enough to share. When they came they were big enough to share. When asked for rice to take home with the extra food they said there was a charge.

Every time we go to Kinaara, we leave full and extremely pleased with the meal. The chef/owner is always super nice and remembers us from the original location. The extra hot is great, but might be a bit much for some. Can't wait until the next time
