A third-generation Texan well-versed in Tex-Mex cuisine, Killen has developed an immense passion for Mexican ingredients, regional dishes and traditional preparations, which he has studied extensively during his travels.
On our menu, you’ll find both classic Tex-Mex plates enriched with elements of barbecue, as well as Texas-tinged interpretations of Mexican fare, all made with fresh, quality ingredients and elevated through simple techniques. From scratch-made moles and salsas to house-ground corn tortillas, each detail is thoughtfully prepared to create a transportive experience at your table.
We look forward to sharing it with you.
Went there for our anniversary and noted it on reservation. Nothing was mentioned to us by staff or server about the special occasion. Bummer, but the food was excellent and we treated ourselves to a piece of chocolate cake for dessert.
Food and drinks were great. Enjoyed the whole experience.
Another solid meal at Killen's TMX. We haven't been in a while and it fit the bill after a busy week. Reservations are recommended since only 50% are available for seating. The traditional salsa and chips but the salsa is very tasty and the chips are thin and crisp but not greasy. We had the pork belly bites and beef empanadas for apps. I had the fried shrimp tacos (2 but they are huge - not street taco sized) and my husband has the three meat taco plate. I had them hold the rice and beans and had a huge dish of Brussel sprouts and the hubs had elote.
The only disappointment is they took the Don Manuel off the drink menu but we ordered it anyway!!
Food was excellent, and our server (JoJo) was super attentive as always and remembers what we like and how we like it.
Food and service was excellent
Service was a bit slow, but waitstaff kept the drinks and chips coming as we waiting on our entrees. Queso worh brisket was great, definitely recommend. I had the fried shrimp tacos, a bit too much of the tempura breading, but good flavors. Would have liked the option for corn tortillas on these - but I also didn’t request that so it mag be an option. Some of my party ordered the enchiladas, which they liked the fillings but said the sauce was quite salty. Overall the food was good, we were on a bit of a time schedule so waiting 20+ minutes for dessert was not ideal. (Tres leches bread pudding was amazing)
Great food! Nice, quiet and wonderful service. Will be back again!
Great food. Appreciate the uniqueness of the food that stands out in a sea of Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. Another Killen success!
The food is phenomenal. I have recommended the restaurant to so many people.
Outstanding like all of the other Killen’s restaurants!!
Great Service Food was great drinks was beautiful. Can't wait for next visit
Everything about what I'd heard was true. We will be back.
Not a lot of food for your buck. Queso is just melted velveeta cheese and charge $9 for it. Was not happy and expectations were not met by a name like Killen’s. Was there for a birthday dinner and I felt I let the family down recommending this place.
Migas were so amazing. I will definitely enjoy brunch there again soon.
Best TexMex in Pearland~!~!~! If you don’t go, you’re missing out.
The service was great and the food was really good. Definitely will be going again.
The food was great so was the ambiance. Our server was the best.
First time. Variety of good enchiladas esp brisket and seafood. great service. Prices reasonable.
We were really disappointed with the food. We absolutely love Killen’s BBQ and we’re expecting the same amount of quality at the TexMex location. The brisket queso was delicious, but that’s about it. My husband ordered beef fajitas and said they weren’t great, not much flavor. I had the 3 street tacos, the brisket taco was good, but the refried beans were poured on a third of the taco, so it was soggy.
My daughter had the brisket enchiladas from the kids menu and couldn’t eat more than two bites
We do not plan to return.
Great evening out with friends. The food was delicious, service was on point and we never felt rushed. It was a great evening and we can’t wait to go back!
Great food, drinks and atmosphere. We love their food.
Love it here !
Fabulous food, nice atmosphere, great service and awesome drinks. We will be back!
Everything good and very good social distancing
Food was Great. We went on Wednesday and they have fajitas for two, chicken and beef, for $25. Got Some cheese enchiladas just to try them and they were great. Had the queso w/brisket and next time will just get plain queso. Too smoky. Margaritas were awesome! Red sauce/hot sauce was perfect!
This was my second visit to TMX and it was much better than the first visit which was a week after opening. The Pork Belly melted in your mouth and was delicious. We almost ordered another round to eat. We had the Brisket Quesadilla on recommendation of Wait Staff and they did not disappoint--great flavor. For desert, the bread pudding hit the spot. We will be back.
It seemed like they were in a hurry to get us out of there. The guacamole wasn’t very good. I expect the ingredients to be mixed into it and the cilantro to be chopped up instead of making us mix everything up. Waiter got my bean order wrong also.
The food is delicious and priced adequately. The chips are thin, crispy and with the right amount of salt.
I had fried fish tacos, they were so flavorful. My boyfriend had wagu beef fajita tacos. He said they were the best tacos he’s ever had.
We can’t wait to go back and try another dish.
Jo Jo gave us great service as usual and the Carnitas were the best we ever had!
It was so delicious and the drinks were on point. Definitely our new favorite date night spot.
Food was good, service was slow, margaritas offered needs help....can’t be a pre-mixed offering this is not California
Order came out missing condiments for fajitas and sides. Took almost ten minutes to get the servers attention and get it right.
Fajitas were great and the pork belly al pastor tacos were the best tacos Ive had in my life!
This is the second time we have visited Killen's TMX (just to make sure we liked it). And we do. I am a cheese enchilada person and not a big BBQ fan (of anyone). However, I have now twice, eaten Killen's "brisket" enchiladas. OMGosh, they are fabulous, awesome chili and cheese sauce, just yummy. Their brisket flautas - awesome, the empanadas and roasted corn as appetizers, very good. And the churros were delicious as were the margaritas (frozen and rocks). Service is great - we love Amanda, she has waited on us both times. What are you waiting for? GO!
Great food and service.
The best breakfast brunch i have ever had in my life ! The brisket tacos are mind blowing !
OMG !!!!
Our friend’s carne asada was too salty. I asked for extra grilled bell peppers and onions and had to ask 3 times before I got them so the rest of my food was cold. The waiter did not was either inexperienced or just inattentive.
Nice to break out from Coronavirus limitations and enjoy very nice brunch! They were very conscious of cleaning and keeping patrons safe. The food was sooo tasty! Will definitely return!
I love this place because the food and service are consistently good. Also, service is very friendly. I never feel rushed.
Wasn’t impressed with the food or experience!
