Kid Kyoto has been making some serious waves in the Sydney dining scene, and is showing no signs of slowing down. Rebellious, effortlessly cool, creative and completely unique, this Bridge Street restaurant combines a love of rock music with an equally strong love of Japanese izakaya. The space itself is dark with neon lights and has an exposed kitchen and bar that you can dine at, while the dishes are works of art in their own right. Expect izakaya-style bar small plates, sashimi, grilled dishes and main dishes like poached snapped in a yuzu fish broth with torched wombok, double-cooked lamb with a miso lamb jus and sake-miso chicken. You can access Kid Kyoto via Bridge Lane in the Sydney CBD. Reservations are essential.
