   We came back to Kibou having been tempred back with voucher after a less than perfect visit for my son's birthday. Everything about this visit was first class - the issues we had last time of quite a wait to be saated were all settled. The food again was excellent, much quieter (but it was a Sunday lunch rather than Saturday dinner), staff were charming and pleasant as before. Glad we went back!

   Most things were delicious and perfect. I would say for one improvement would be the desserts. Bit bland and generic, we had the Crème Brûlée, apple gyozas, and the spicy chocolate tart. The tart was a bit too dense making it sickly but this is subjective to palette. The apple gyoza’s were generic, but ok. Overall, super yummy, would return perhaps minus the desserts.

   Expecting decent sushi but the meal was so much more - with the recommendations by the waitress we had the best meal with a combination of small plates

   Kibbutz is our ‘go to’ restaurant in Cambridge. Having visited Japan, we love the authenticity of its menu and the staff are always very friendly. It represents good value of money and is just very good in every way. My only hesitation in writing this review is that it might mean that there isn’t space when I next visit!

   Good food and presentation. However, this time I feel a bit disappointed , we ordered a set lunch, the soup and edemend bean came late after the main course had been served. I suppose they were the starter before the main.

Our Teishoku set lunch menu is intended as whole meal, with no distinction between starters and mains, as per Japanese traditional style of service. Usually we tend to serve the soup and edamame for first, but this always depends on how busy the different kitchen sections are ( each dish comes from a different section). Sorry if this was not the best way to serve your meal, we will make sure next time, to serve soup and edamame as first course.    We went for lunch with our five month old daughter and some of her grandparents. The lunch deal is good value for money for a broad variety of food for each person. The service was good. Our daughter liked the flower trees.

    Always good food and excellent service. We visit 4-5 times a year as we know we will always have a lovely meal.
