This month we’re stoked to be joined by Matthew MacLeod, the executive chef of Sydney’s Chin Chin. A name that’ll be ultra-familiar to those from Oz.

Matthew MacLeod is the Executive Chef at Chin Chin Sydney, one of Australia’s most celebrated modern Asian restaurants. Since opening the Surry Hills venue in 2017, MacLeod has played a defining role in shaping its cult status—known for bold flavours, inventive techniques, and a uniquely Australian spin on Southeast Asian cuisine.

With over two decades of experience, MacLeod’s style blends traditional Asian techniques with contemporary Australian sensibilities.

Matt will be with us from the 17th of July until the 26th. Reservations are highly recommended.

I absolutely adore Ken's. The ambience is romantic, rustic, and lively; the staff are extremely helpful, patient, and informative about the wine options; and the food is innovative and delicious. Everyone I've taken here loves it too!

Great vibes and service. Food looked stunning and tasted well too. Affordable wines with a diverse selection, specifically the orange wine which can be hit and miss! Would highly recommend!

The food was excellent - quite spicy and probably not well suited to a wine-oriented place, but still excellent nonetheless.

Went to Ken's for the second time before Sadler's Wells show and am absolutely loving it! Very friendly staff each time, interesting wine list to choose from(however, I would serve white wines and champagnes a little colder), delicious food cooked by talented guest chefs, pleasant ambiance - what not to love?! Will definitely be back.

Such a special place with amazing food and wine selection! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the service was exceptional. Lots of care and attention went into every aspect of the experience. The ambiance and decor are unmatched – casual yet elevated, approachable and exciting. The location is very charming and walkable. We started inside for food and then finished outside on the patio with a cocktail which was perfect for a summer evening. Can’t wait to return.

Very disappointed with the food. The pop up chefs menu you last night was weird, and not tasty. A shame as the vibe and wine selection is excellent
