This is an odd review because we didn’t actually eat. We had a reservation for two. When we arrive, we were taken to the back next to the open kitchen, sandwiched between large groups. People kept bumping into us. We asked if we could move to a couple of lovely tables set up for two people in the front room. We were told no. Our option was to wait for one of the large tables to leave. Frustrated, even though we’d ordered drinks and food, we left before the food arrived. Found another great pub, the Lombard!

Seems this is a tourist spot and the place is responding accordingly. Good service, food ok, with a lot of generic, quick fried platters... our food was good, hard to really mess up a burger. Good pub grubby, if a bit hectic!

We were ushered in our table like sardines in a tin. Sitting right next, behind, in front of, other diners. Very crowded and noisy. Finally got a begrudgingly waitress to serve us. Wine and beer helped. My veggie burger was a solid 10! I gobbled it down but could not eat the chips, what in the bloody hell is sprinkled on them? Hubbies pork Sammy was filling.
