Ohmygosh...Best food and service in Bellingham. All the servers are extremely well trained, have great personalities, and know their product. Best happy hour, too. We had sea bass and ahi. Both were perfectly prepared and the sides were the perfect accompaniment. Could not be more pleased - and I am super fussy.
Our group thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Keenan's at the Pier and will definitely
return. thank you.
The food was delicious and the staff was very nice. I just wish we were there earlier to see the sunset. Very nice dinner and a pleasant experience.
Always a go-to lunch or dinner. Service is usually fantastic but the food can be pricy.
Service and food was outstanding. Can’t beat the view. Wanted to try the signature cocktails but it was lunch so I settled for a tasty IPA. Will most definitely be going back.
Always enjoy Keenan’s!
Delicious food, great service and welcoming atmosphere.
Service was wonderful. Food and cheese cocktails were superb.
Needs more food options. Waitress was great. i liked the setting. I just wish there is more food options on the menu for dinner.
Great food and view. The dessert was fabulous. Our server was wonderful.
We were more than a half hour early. They were able to seat us and at a nice table!
We loved the ambience and the view from the patio seating. The food did not quite meet our expectations for the price point. Ordered the cheese and fruit plate and got a very ho-hum cheese selection and the gluten free option in lieu of crostini was plain gluten free bread toasted on one side. For dinner we both had salmon - one on the regular menu and one special. They were both good, but not amazing @$35 per plate. I would try it again though just for the view
Great view with sunset, great food and wine, great service!...I couldn't ask for a better Birthday dinner for my friend!
Covid protocols were great. Service and view were wonderful. Food was "meh".
This is a nice place for lunch with a good view of Bellingham Bay. I'm a local, so it's one of my go to places. I had friedns visiting, so I took them here. The service was excellent. The food , this time, was just so-so. My fish and chips were cool, not hot, not cold. the fish tacos were excellent, and the gyros was not so good, given it was lamb meatballs instead of sliced lamb and beef. The menu described all the items correctly and well, so the gyros eater knew what she was getting. The wine pours were small.
Excellent food and great service. The outdoor dining area is undercover and has heaters. Any trains going by are loud, but the view of Bellingham Bay is fabulous.
Excellent, saucy cioppino and well-cooked burger, and very flavorful mushroom risotto. Not really impressed with the sticky, sweet meringue, though the small amount of lemon curd underneath was nice.
Only one train went by during our visit, so noise was manageable.
Excellent, attentive service and beautiful setting.
Best table with a view in Bellingham - Keenan's patio is superb. We took our out-of-town guests for a late breakfast here. Thanks for the service, tasty meals, and for helping us feel like it was a safe place to dine.
Everything was perfectly cooked and displayed. Service staff were attentive and professional.
Beautiful setting to watch the sunset over Bellingham Bay! Food was excellent as well as its presentation. Mango prawns were spicy with a wonderful balsamic. Mussels were fresh, though the Parmesan cheese on the Caesar salad was not. Still, service was perfect, a nice wine list, and quiet enough to have an intimate conversation with my partner. Pretty sweet!
Came here for a nice lunch and we certainly had that. It is a beautiful setting. The service is very nice. I had fish and chips. It wasn't the best I have had but not the worst either. The breading nice and light but it was overcooked and the fish inside didn't have a good texture. It seemed like the fish was frozen and not thawed properly???? It was weepy, tough and yet jelly like. Anyway, just not a great piece of fish. The fries were good if you like shoe strings. They are all about the crunch but never have much flavor in my opinion. None the less I ate every one of them. The coleslaw that came with it was nondescript. My guest had the gyro. She liked it but had a hard time eating it. The lamb is in the form of a meatball so when she tried to bite down it rolled right out. Maybe a flatter meatball would work better.
Would I recommend this place to a friend? For sure. It was good. It just wasn't great.
Great experience. Great food. Warm and welcoming environment.
Great spot with amazing safe outdoor seating overlooking bay. Trains passing are loud, but fun
Lovely dinner, excellent food locally sourced, beautifully presented, charming outside space safely separately and heated, great wine list. Can't wait to go back.
Dropping our son off at colllege for the first time, we had a special dinner and it was amazing. Every dish was delicious and we watched the sunset over the water. Great server, too!
Fantastic meal & outstanding service. From the greeti g at the door until we left 2 hours later, everything was outstanding.
Drink orders taken & delivered promptly. We split the crab cakes (delish!) & the house salad ( a tad underdressed but nothing tragic. Still outstanding).
My dining companion has the sockeye salmon with the pea risotto. The salmon was perfect. I had the halibut with the miso caramel. The miso sauce was to die for & the halibut was spot on perfection.
I am celiac & I could hear the chefs audibly discussing being cautious as well as watching them change gloves each time any portion of any course of my meal was prepped. Outstanding.
I can say that this meal was one of the top three meals I have EVER had at a restaurant in over 40 years. I urge them to keep this halibut dish on their menu as a signature dish. I'll drive from anywhere to get this again.
As for service, Emily was perfect, friendly and timed each course exactly right. Just excellent.
The only downside had nothing to do with the restaurant at all. I had to move due to a nearby guest who had so much perfume on, it was overwhelming our food.
A+ to Keenans and to Emily.
Easy reservation system (Open Table), lovely view, polite and helpful servers. We wanted a nice evening out and that's what we got. The food was innovative and delicious. Mango panna cotta? Yes, please. It was accompanied by a chia cream and a quail egg yolk. Very pretty and tasty. I loved the view from the window and even when another party took the outdoor table in front of us, the chairs were arranged so we could still see the bay. Nice job. Our server was a delight and went back to the kitchen twice to get answers to a couple of questions we had about the food. We chose from a reasonable wine list and weren't rushed to finish our meal. Thanks Keenan's. We'll come back soon.
Great lunch. Great menu. Beautiful view. In a very nice hotel.
Terrific views across the bay to Lummi Island. Very pleasant ambiance. Food and service was great although the menu is a bit limited. Will return again for breakfast or maybe cocktails and sun down.
Great food, amazing cocktails, and the view of the water is stunning!
Lemon Meringue dessert was awful !
Weird bitter poor concept !
The food was so delicious, better than expected! Our waitresss checked on us not too frequently and our food came out quick.
From start to finish, we had a wonderful time at keenan’s. Already planning on going back.
Food was excellent. Staff were kind and courteous.
Service was awesome. The halibut dish may be the best I have had. The scallops were excellent as well.
It was perfect! Great food, lovely service and beautiful setting.
There were no specials and the menu hasn’t changed but the food is always good. We were outside which was very nice and all staff had on masks. We did not feel at risk thanks to Keenan’s protocols and set up. They didn’t rush us through our lunch and I felt somewhat bad sitting for a long time and talking over lunch. But, the server said they did not need the table. Keenan’s is always consistently good and I highly recommend.
Wonderful breakfast with nice view table. Couldn’t ask for more.
Good food as usual. A bit less attention to detail than usual (no bread before, no ice with the oysters....little things that make the difference the first time)
Food ranged from decent (soup) to lousy (burger) and inedible (tapenade). Nice view, though! Wouldn’t return.
Great views and good menu options if you’re a seafood lover. I’m a vegetarian and my options were limited. But the scenery more than made up for it.
