Good, good food , very nice service
But champagne and wine by the glass excessively expensive even fir the standards of this kind of restaurant
Had birthday gift of lunch at Kaspar's and it was really lovely, food very tasty and they gave birthday treat which was such a lovely surprise...staff attentive but not intrusive...definitely recommend anyone to visit if the opportunity arises
We visited for my partner's 55th birthday as I ended to do something special. We had celebrated an earlier birthday in the Grill.
Our evening was exactly as I had hoped and we had a wonderful time.
Even better was the fact that I am currently on restricted diet and this was taken care of with no fuss whatsoever.
I would always recommend it.
Delicious food served by charming and attentive staff. Thank you.
I have been to Kaspers a number of times previously and I fully intend to come again.
Absolutley top notch, I would go there every week if I could!
Guess we will have to wait for another special moment 😔
An interesting story about Kaspar the Cat to accompany this historic spot in London. Great food too!
Our family enjoyed a special pre-theatre lunch at Kaspar's including our two children. Staff were exceptionally warm and inviting, generous with their time and did a wonderful job looking after all of us, including engaging our daughters in conversation. Food was delicious, though slightly pricy for adults (2 scallops, juicy as they were, for £28 seems a bit high). An enjoyable experience overall.
Our visit was an evening dinner to discuss business issues - it was an excellent evening - our guest was very impressed. The service, ambience and the quality of the food were all exceptional. Our only minor issue was that the live music limited our ability on occasion to converse freely. Having said that, on previous purely social occasions, the music was a positive.
Lovely staff & amazing food! Perfect for a special occasion
Fabulous friendly service and perfect cooking. Just note the full menu does not start until 17.30 but the lunch options are really good and reasonable choice
another great lunch at this venue, everything is very professional from food, staff and the hotel.
We were pleased with our experience. Food was delicious and attention/conversation with our server was a plus.
Beautiful and romantic place to go and eat , service was great too
Third visit and this time disappointing.
The Lobster Bisque which I had been dreaming about was a different recipe, a thin soup, flavour full but lacking that creamy wonderful experience.
The choice of fish On the menu was reduced but l chose the Dover Sole , sadly too firm and overcooked. The accompanying hollandaise was barely a tablespoon!
The dessert was very good.
Great overall experience my family and I, we had a great night. The music helped and it was a wonderful blend of happy people all enjoying themselves with great a and happy staff.
Excellent if a little expensive.
The only problem we had was the wine waiter failed to keep our wine topped up and the bottles were too far away for us to do it ourselves.
Had pre-theatre meal. Our waiter Anun was particularly good.
What a wonderful experience! The staff were so attentive wi thy out being too much. The food was fantastic and the price of set menu (pre theatre). Overall a really great meal made even more special for the beautiful treatment of my sister for her birthday, which I made them aware of prior. We will be back
Delicious food and excellent service. Staff attentive but not OTT.
Great breakfast. Breakfast in a five-star hotel needs to be special and this certainly was. No smouldering buffet here, the food came to order from the kitchen. Service was welcoming and friendly.
We visit the Savoy 3-4 times a year for family occasions. This time we ate early before going to the ballet. The set menu was excellent value - we had crab, salmon and risotto all of which was delicious. Dessert was a salted caramel and nut dish which was rich and delicious. Service was not brilliant, had to ask for wine to be refilled. I was particularly disappointed that I had to ask a waiter to request that another diner turn down the volume on a video he was watching on his phone. Although the waiter approached the table, I clearly heard the conversation and he did not do so. The other guest was a young American tourist who clearly had no idea that this wasn’t acceptable behaviour, it would have been easy to politely request that he lowered the volume or put his headphones on as he was alone. Not really the ambiance I was looking for.
Excellent food and service highly recommend the Dover sole. The sommeliers are top notch and their recommendations were delicious.
Been before but this was exceptional! An absolutely fabulous meal from beginning to end! The finale was our son being invited by the maitre'd to meet the chef in his kitchen.
It was my birthday and the staff were all very attentive and wished me a happy day
Our waiter was fantastic and the food was out of this world
Fantastic experience. We had post theatre set menu - amazing value for money. Staff attentive . Great kids menu. Affordable and highly recommend
As you would expect this is a first class restaurant. Not at all intimidating, the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Service was excellent, I would highly recommend
Lovely service, gorgeous food (lobster bisque with lemongrass Fusion is brilliant, as is the roasted pumpkin soup with pine nuts and won tons). A wonderful holiday family meal
Lovely meal. Service by Jacob was superb. Savoy is beautiful at Christmas. Start with a martini at American Bar.
Wonderful service, and lovely table wit a view of the river. Excellent, unfussy and professional service. Very positive experience.
As ever with the Savoy.
Unpretentious, classy and perfect food delivered in An effortless way.
Very nice location with beautyful Service and good food. The prices are high but compareing to the location.
Booked Kaspers for our Christmas family lunch. We were warmly greeted & shown to our table quickly. The restaurant is warm and friendly and has a nice atmosphere. Our crab starter was really tasty and my medium steak was lovely but slightly overdone, I really enjoyed the triple cooked chips & vegetable sides. My son loved the lobster pasta dish. Desserts were absolutely delicious, the coconut one was divine! My husband enjoyed his lamb main but espresso coffee arrived cold and in a large cup, so coffee probably not their forte. Despite that, we would definitely eat here again.
Lovely Christmas lunch, service good, thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
Food was good. Ambiance and decor were outstanding. The staff were friendly but discreet. We had a fabulous time.
It all started very well as my party of 4 well dressed people were shown to our table.
First impressions were that the wooden table was grubby -it seemed that the varnish on the table
had worn away and the two tables joined together were not the same height.
The dining room was sparse no atmosphere almost sterile and fellow diners in jeans and tee shirts which is unacceptable for a 5 star restaurant.
Our server May was excellent a Thai girl smiling and attentive and she was the only good thing in the dining experience. The starters were fine without being outstanding however, the main courses were an absolute disaster. We ordered 3 Dover sole £41 per person without vegetables- excessive.
When the course was served 2 of the Dover soles were cold and we had to send them back.
The manageress showed little concern and said she would find out what the problem was and disappeared
never to be seen again.
The Dover soles returned ten minutes later and the waiter asked me which one was mine-unbelievable that they had just reheated the same fish.
We asked that they prepare new freshly cooked fish and without any apology we were told that it woul take 20 minutes were we prepared to wait-again no apology.
Two of the guests had already finished their meals and they asked for coffee and a brandy-the coffee arrived and it was cold and the brandy was served in a whisky glass unheated -appalling!
We asked for the bill and at least the manager had issued instructions to May not to charge for anything so there was some recognition of the awful experience.
For a 5 star hotel restaurant the standard is simply unacceptable and customer service lacking -it seems to me that there needs to be a real effort at staff training and the chef needs to sharpen up -you cannot just
re-heat food and send it out in the hope that the customer accepts it.
The senior management at the Savoy need to review their offering at Kasper's as it simply will not survive given these poor standards.
Amazing! Lovely place and staff
Wonderful service. Definitely the type of service you would expect. The waiter went above and beyond to serve us and make us feel comfortable. Very nice food, especially the lobster bisque and gressingham duck.
Food is always to a good standard and The Savoy hotel I a delightful place to be in, beautiful and always excellent service
Lovely surroundings, relaxing atmosphere carefully prepared and well presented food.
No pressure to hurry.
Staff knowledgable, charming and efficient.
