Not very clean. Upon arrival 2 dead fish floating in pond. Waited 15 minutes after reservation to be seated and another 15 minutes for drink order to be taken. Asked 2 different servers for siracha. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant for a hibachi dinner out

I appreciated Kankis good service and food. I highly recommend! The only downside is the noise and a lot of families think it’s a good idea to bring crying babies to a nice restaurant.

The chef was very attentive to each customer and made sure we were all good before leaving the table. He put on some good entertainment making us laugh several times. It was tasty and the mood was perfect!

1. You still need to wait to be seated even if you have a reservation. 2. Table was wet. 3. Provided utensils were not wrapped as other guests have. 3. My plate was with stains. 4. Menu was dirty laminated paper, some options from online menu were not there. 5. I ordered sirloin well done, it was burned. The cook brought it on separate plate, it was barely warm. 6. Non-alcoholic beverages only Pepsi and water. 7. I will not recommend this restaurant.

Atmosphere was great but you do need reservations. The food was seasoned to perfection but if you like it a little less seasoned, you may want to mention any dietary preferences in advance. Our chef, Victor, was very enthusiastic and a great cook!

Our chef was great and the food was delicious. Service was slow as our entire table ran out of drinks a couple of times and the chef had to actually go run a server down to get us refills!

Kanki is usually a lot of fun--yesterday was ok--our chef wasn't "into" it, but cooked a good meal--however there have been changes since the last time I went. This was my first time at lunch, so maybe dinner is still what I remembered, now we only have a choice of soup OR salad, I chose salad with ginger dressing. it definitely doesn't taste like the same delicious salad dressing-in fact I didn't even finish my salad. They used to "flip" everyone a shrimp while cooking-no longer. We did have the most amazing spicy wings for an appetizer! and the edamame was good. I had noted it was my son's birthday but no one ever mentioned anything about it. I figured they would at least sing happy birthday. Why ask on the reservation if it doesn't mean anything? so, it was ok-but not what I had remembered from many other family celebrations.

Two of us got the Bonsai and it was delicious but my grandson got the Hibachi Chicken and my Husband got the Teriyaki Chicken. The chicken in both of their dishes was very tough and they had to leave part of their lunch. In all the years we have been going to the North Market Kanki we have always had delicious meals. Today was very disappointing since we were celebrating Father’s Day. We did speak with the lady at the front counter and she was going to let the manager know how disappointed we were.

We came to celebrate my birthday and realized 2 others were celebrating also. Our chef was amazing. The food was great just wished the Steaks were a little larger. We will be back very soon.

We were celebrating bdays which I noted on our reservation and told them when we were seated. There was no song or anything special which was disappointing, especially because there were other tables with songs. The chef wasn’t entertaining or engaging. He was just cooking. No show unlike at other tables around us. The chef told us his mind was somewhere else. The sushi was not good. Our meal was good but we could have probably gotten the same quality at tenko Japan… we won’t be returning.

Our chef, Ric, was awesome! Unfortunately, our server (can’t remember her name) did not come back for drink refills, check in on the table, provide boxes or our checks until we asked someone at the bar.

You might say the food as well as the service was "rubber stamped." At every table the service was the same: onions, mushrooms, and zucchini. Easy not inspired-the fried rice was abundant, but few of the diners at my sitting finished it. Off the menu the portions were small, hardly worth what they charged, and we all waited an hour before the cook started his 'routine.' A great time for the kids, but not so good for adults on a 'date night.'

We arrived on time for our reservation for four but had to wait 20 munito be seated "because they needed to clean a table" there were 4 different people at reception that asked us who we were and why we were waiting. Finally we were shuttled to the side by the wine rack. It was awkward. After we were seated it all went very well and the food and staff and our table mates were all really fun and friendly.

We enjoyed our time at Kanki. Our table had very fun and entertaining guests. Our Chef did a great job of cooking. Everything was cooked well. My Husband and I enjoyed the whole experience.

Oh, I got a text stating that my table is ready,but we had to wait 20 minutes before we were seated and no one was in front of us waiting.Then another 10 minutes before a waiter ever came to greet us. We’re never refilled,
