I have never had a bad experience at Kanki. The food is always delicious and the service is great most of the time. If the service is not great, then it was good, never bad.

We were seated about ten minutes after our reservation time although there was plenty of room. I think they were waiting to have enough people to fill our table. We had six people, one was in a high chair, and they tried to fit us into a five person space (the baby was put off the corner so he had no table space (and no tray on the high chair. They did only put three more people at the table (only nine fit) so we were able to move down and give everyone table space. The food was a little salty.

Birthday dinner with family. Staff was courteous and accommodating. Entertaining and very conscientious of each person's preferences (no mushrooms, etc.) Food was delicious. Overall great evening and experience.

Charlie was a great chef. The food was delicious. Just wish they could have the option for potatoes instead of rice for people that don't like rice. The ginger dressing was awesome. We will definitely be going back.

I'm sorry to write this, but our evening was a disappointment. We waited at a full table for 30 minutes until I went to the host and asked if we could get a chef for our table. The chef came out and said nothing. He just started to cook. No smile, no welcome, nothing. One of us engaged him and then he spoke more, but some of the things he said - "I like to play the field" and "I'm hiding from my girlfriend" - were inappropriate. He simply cooked, scraped, and left. No show of any kind except for the fake ketchup bottle squirt. The food was just okay. The shrimp appetizer and shrimp entree were very overcooked. It's a shame that we'll need to find another Japanese steakhouse to frequent.

We enjoyed our meal tremendously. The food was delicious. Our only complaint was that our waitress never came back to refill water glasses once the chef began cooking. We didn’t see her until the end of the meal when she cleared dishes and brought the check. She didn’t ask if we wanted dessert either and we had been contemplating ordering it. Overall, the experience was great for our first time there and we will return.

Our server(Mathias) and chef (Hector) we’re fabulous. We appreciated our server taking a family photo. Hector definitely went above and beyond to make my sons early 7th birthday celebration and event to remember. We had people in our party from age 6 to 72 some who have been before and some who had never been. We were all thoroughly impressed with everything Hector did. It definitely warmed our heart to have someone go the extra mile!! We will definitely be back and have already referred friends within the day after we went! Thank You💙

Food and service were very good. Filet was tender and tasty. Surprised me how fast they were. We sat down at 6:00 and everyone at our table was finished by 6:50.

We went to celebrate graduations at that restaurant, but the cook/chef who served us was absolutely terrible. Despite our deep love for the place, we have decided never to return. The experience was a complete disaster: he hardly performed any tricks, focused exclusively on two individuals, took portions from other plates to satisfy those specific customers, disregarded everyone else, and neglected to serve sauces. When we dared to inquire about the ginger sauce, he responded with a disrespectful attitude and made condescending remarks. His complete lack of engagement, negative energy, and discriminatory behavior were so blatant that all five of us left utterly disappointed and disillusioned.

Had a great time and would recommend. I went to celebrate my Bae birthday. The server asked if anyone was celebrating a birthday and we responded and yes and no one ever came out to sing happy birthday to him. That was one of the things he was looking forward too. However, food was amazing. Don't like the fact there is no option for chicken, steak and shrimp. It just one or two but not all three. Service was great really enjoyed our cook.

Anniversary. The restaurant was clean. We came in at a time when there was a Birthday. It was a very loud time. Our cook was phenomenal and the food was wonderful. Refilling drinks was kind of a problem. They might have been short staffed.

Kanki is a great place for a family birthday. We went for mine and the kids had a great time. Huge fish tank was fun. Food is good, and the noise level is already high so I don’t feel like we’re the loudest in the room.

Even though our reservation said the occasion for visit was birthday no-one sang to us. The waitress brought a really sweet sorbet that I couldn't eat. I appreciate the gesture after, but sorbet made with sugar water and artificial flavoring/coloring is not something I would consider a treat. The "chef" didn't do much of an entertaining cooking, so it was disappointing as we came first time with our kid. Reception was full of high school like staff that was on their phones and chit-chatting while we waited 20 min or so. Will not come back to this location.

Food was great! Very busy and loud but to be expected because it was Mother’s Day! My only complaint is I ordered a Mai Tai and it was very weak. I’m not a huge drinker but wanted one yesterday. It tasted like fruit punch.

Overall the restaurant was good. My main issue was our cook forgot to put salt and pepper on the rice and there is none on the table to tweak it after the fact. If I didn't mix yum yum in the rice or would not have been edible. I believe it cook was Hector and he was very entertaining but he was looking around a good bit and think he forgot to season the most important part of the meal. The meat was really good, especially the shrimp and was very pleased overall with that. If the rice would have been seasoned I probably would have given 5 stars, but bland rice is a big negative on my book.

Our chef Hector was excellent, between his skills/performance and his charming personality, we couldn't have asked for a better chef. The waitress was pretty much useless, but Hector more than made up for the waitress's lack of attention or assistance.

Always a huge fan of the Kanki experience! Our chef, Mozart, was amazing and so lively and entertaining. He also cooked a delicious meal! Our server, Emma, was so sweet and attentive. It was a wonderful birthday experience for our daughter!

It was my daughters birthday which I specified when I made my reservation. No one came to sing happy birthday nor did they refill the drinks. I was told “Shirley Temples” don’t get refilled without paying for another drink? I was told we could have water. Not the birthday experience we were looking for and we won’t be returning.

We went there for my daughters 7th birthday. Overall we had a really nice time and the kids (7 and 4) really enjoyed the presentation. It kept them entertained and they said they want to go back for their next birthday. I would say the food is pretty good, but not outstanding. It also felt like as soon as the chef was done cooking the server was asking if we wanted boxes and where to put the check. Since it was my daughters birthday we wanted dessert, but that whole process felt weirdly rushed. They did come out and sing a little song and put a candle in her dessert.
