Service was not good- they were short staffed. But food and value were good! We came towards later part of the night and they were out of a few menu items.

Every single item we ordered was excellent! Maui onion soup, crab dip, bruschetta, wedge salad, flatbread, pork nachos, burger … ALL were delicious! The service was wonderful, too. Our server was kind & attentive. The BEST place we’ve eaten on Oahu!

We've always enjoyed being Kalapawai customers and supporters of the Dymond family business, moreso when Lindsey brought Kalapawai to Waimanalo. Hospitality has always been inviting whether stopping in for a coffee and breakfast sandwich after a morning at the beach or in this case dinner date with my wife. Dinner service was outstanding. The staff worked well together to manage a nicely and near full restaurant. We never felt like we were waiting too long for any part of our dining experience and there was good balance in the timing between our appetizer and main entrees. The food was excellent, the perfect temperature, and had a great taste. They have a great selection of wine to compliment our meals (two different reds in this case). While at times to noise of traffic passing through could be a nuisance, it didn't compare to the sunset colors over the Ko`olau Mountains from our outdoor seating. We certainly will be coming back. Mahalo to the staff for a great experience.

We had the pizza with squash it was perfectly prepared and the crust was crisp, but still soft inside. The Fatoush salad followed with pita crisps and a deliciously creamy tahini dressing. Finally the ‘Market fresh fish with a lemon risotto. We wanted desserts but, were too full. This was such a nice surprise for our first time at the Waimanalo location.
