    The portions were small even though I waiters said items were meant to share. The Toro was great, tartar was less than desirable as the flavor was bland. The calamari was tasty but salty and ox fried rice was good. The sesame shrimp was too softly fried and small portion. Music got very loud as night progressed and waitress was very slow.

    Our recent visit to Kai Restaurant for my friend's birthday dinner was truly exceptional, thanks to Austin, our outstanding waiter. His warm and knowledgeable service made the evening memorable as he expertly guided us through the menu, accommodated our preferences, and ensured timely service.     We had an amazing time! However, we were sat next to a very loud party which did hurt what felt like an upscale ambience. Overall the food and service were excellent and we look forward to going back - hopefully with a quieter experience!

    Everything was great. The only thing I did not like was the seating. We were seated in the far left corner where there weren’t any chairs. We sat on an L corner cushioned area but it was uncomfortable for dining.

    The ambiance was great but the service was awful. We waited for our server to get out of a meeting and was assisted by a different server. When she finally got out of a meeting we barely saw her. The food was average and over priced. We had the lobster tacos, sushi, and sesame chicken. The dishes were bland and the sesame chicken appeared over cooked. Overall we were not impressed with this restaurant. Which is sad because I was very excited about going. Needless to say, we will not be going back here.

    Overall excellent experience. Spicy duck was terrific but crispy shrimp was soggy and not crisp. Service excellent. Valet parkers are morons (long story).

    My husband and I are regular customers, however unfortunately our experience last night didn’t start well. Our reservation was at 7:30 pm when we got there we asked for patio seating, the hostess said it will be few minutes. After 30 minutes waiting we inquired about our table, she said we don’t have patio available any more, we then asked for the manager and the manager said they have big groups coming in and she cannot accommodate us in the patio anymore and offered us a table in the main dinning room with a spot light shinning that felt like we were being interigated. She said this is the only thing she has available and basically take it or leave it attitude. By this time our party of 4 is frustrated and just wanted to forget this whole fiasco and just sit somewhere, anywhere and have drinks and dinner. Wanted to mention that our waitress Ashley was awsome and she helped take our mind off the Table Gate! While leaving, we ran into the General Manager and stopped to talk to him, he said he was made aware of the situation and he apologised but while trying to explain he kept mentioning he has 16 years of experience and knows the restaurant business better than us. My question is that, If he is such a restaurant genius and was made aware of situation, why didn’t he come to talk to us. He would have never apologised, if we hadn’t approached him. Very unprofessional with the whole management team all the way around! The only bright spot was the group that we were with, our waitress Ashley and the light shinning at our table.

    Great location and interior - has a wonderful decor and very cool vibe to suit! Service from greeting to dinner service was exceptional. Food was good - lots of great flavor with a mixture of classic dishes with some unique but not overwhelming twists. Did not like the seating and dinning tables. Fashion and form sacrificed practicality and comfort - tiny table and low chairs make for an uncomfortable dinning experience - felt more suited to bar / lounge furniture. Overall - i enjoyed the warm, efficient service, with some creative twists on classic Asian fusion cooking set is a trendy interior design - just shame about the impractical dining furniture.

    I have been to Kai on several occasions and usually I have a great experience. I went for my birthday in a dress and sandals. My friends had on sandals and tennis shoes. We weren’t planning on going there but decided to stop in for drinks after dinner. They were able to go in while I was turned away. One of my friends had heels in the car but just carried them inside. I’d been twice that week and the code wasn’t enforced. My house is close so I ran home to change. Upon going in, I saw several women in sandals. Our server was wonderful but I didn’t appreciate the inconvenience from the bouncer. I wanted to inquire about booking some space for a bigger party I’m throwing this month but I’ll be looking elsewhere. No complaints on the food, atmosphere and the servers inside. This just wasn’t a good visit.

    The lobster tacos are a must. They are small but great to share amongst the table! The chicken truffle dumplings also great. It took us awhile to get our drinks but overall I would comeback.

    This was our first time here and overall the experience was nice. Our server was top notch, in fact all the staff were wonderful. The food was very good. The criticism I have is that their website (and open tables info about them) both specifically state a dress code. I made my husband abide by it because I wanted to respect their rules and the other patrons who are spending a lot of money on a night out. And this was our anniversary so we really wanted to turn it up a notch and be fancy. Kind of disappointed to see that just about every single person there was in shorts, flip flops, hats, and workout clothes. It cheapens the vibe a lot. Also, the feng shui was complete off because our table was halfway in one room and halfway in another. Lastly, they need to keep the restrooms tidy. I doubt I would come here again. The price doesn’t match the perceived experience I thought we were going to receive.

    I don’t agree with the additional TAX (food, drink and the normal state Tx) is excessive and is not legitimate to charge customers. Chicken fried rice, oxtail fried rice, sushi and 3 drinks totaling $250….☹️

    From the ambiance, decor, & food Kai was nothing short of an amazing pick for my birthday celebration. My waitress Cali was very pleasant and picked my drink and even brought a birthday dessert. 10 out of 10 experience!

    The food was fantastic. The rest of the restaurant was the worst experience I've ever had. People at the bar were actually screaming the entire time we ate. The noise level was like a nightclub. No one else in the restaurant was behaving this way, or stopping them. I would never come back here.

    Food was very mediocre for the price. It didn’t come out when it should and wasn’t courses appropriately. Hostess didn’t know menu. Cocktails are typically great but very blah this time. When asked for different sauces we are usually accommodated. Hostess knew nothing about them.

    This was our second visit to Kai and it was wonderful. We were not happy with our seating and the manager made arrangements for us to move to a quieter table. There was a crying child near where we were first seated. The food was amazing. The lobster tacos and the lamb chops were both winners. Lauren, our server, was great! We ordered a few items and after finishing them ordered more. Her timing was impeccable. The cocktails were creative. We sat near the bar and enjoyed watching the cocktails parade by us on their way to their final destination. One cocktail was served on a tray with a bonsai tree. The entire evening was perfect. Kudos to Eddie, the manager. He runs a well oiled machine!

    Christian was our Server, and he was one of the BEST servers who has ever served us. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and we never had to as for anything, as he was always bringing our orders to us promptly. The atmosphere is so beautiful! The decor is romantic. The low lighting and music created a sense of love. The food is always amazing as it is fresh, high quality, and chosen wisely. The drinks were amazing! It was the perfect birthday celebration for my amazing husband!
