This is the third time that we have been to this restaurant. We were celebrating our anniversary and sat at the most beautiful table by the fireplace. Our server Heather, was amazing. We were there to see a candlelight concert and she offered to box our food and keep it in the fridge until afterwards. We were able to pick up our leftovers and dessert after the performance. We eat at a lot of restaurants, but this is one of our favorites.

They were so accommodating about my vegan bf’s diet restriction. They even went out of their way to get an off menu dessert for him for his bday. The entertainment or guitarist even played happy birthday. Food was great! Our server Summer was attentive and nice. Would definitely come back

The afternoon tea was an amazing experience of familiar Indian foods with a twist of flavors. While I enjoyed the carrot scones and whipped butter with saffron, the desserts stole the show with highlighted by the stuffed Gulujaman. This was our second visit to Kahani. We came for dinner earlier in the year and in both visits enjoyed the food and high level of service.

We have frequented this restaurant a number of times now and it never disappoints. Today we joined for the chit, chaat, and chai experience. The tea plates were filled with creative, unique, and delicious flavors. Service and food quality are consistently top notch. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had an unforgettable evening at Kahani because of exceptional service, delicious food and personal touch. We went with vegetarian curry sampler and all the curries had their own unique taste, unlike sometimes same spices or base usage elsewhere. Desserts were not only creative and authentic at the same time, they were also mind blowing taste. We had cardamom cheesecake and mango lassi bar. Masala chai at the end was the cherry on top. Pinak and Srikanth special recognition for your efforts in ensuring a memorable experience for us, thank you! All in all 6 out of 5 star experience.

Great food and service. Ambience was ok partly due to compact seating for a large group of 6. Our server was awesome, though we ordered like drunk royalty and had so many dishes on the table. Great drinks selection us and dessert was the sweet climax (thank you Anna). We’ll definitely be back… but maybe we’ll tone it down next time. Maybe.

Wowowow, what a treat. We decided to check out the "Chit, Chaat & Chai" Afternoon Tea at the Kahani Restaurant inside the Ritz-Carlton in Dana Point. We were not disappointed. As a matter of fact, we were completely wowed by the presentation, service, and most importantly the delicious taste of all the treats served. We each tried the different types of teas, and Chef Sanjay Rawat did a wonderful job accommodating our dietary needs (one gluten-free, one vegetarian and one regular). We were offered a sparkling beverage as we informed the restaurant ahead of time that we were celebrating our daughter's college admission acceptance. The sandwiches were all tasty, perfect in size with balanced flavors and seasoned perfectly. Kahani is beautifully decorated and cozy. Besides the food, I'd like to point out their service. Our server Christian was warm and professional, highly knowledgeable about our menu and offered unobtrusive service. She was fabulous. Savory sandwiches, scones, and sweets were all equally delicious. It was a party in our mouths! Highly recommend so bring yourself, families and friends for a real treat!
