The specialty rolls and classic rolls section of the menu at KA Sushi is quite comprehensive as well with interesting names such as wagyu slim and captain crunch. Presentations are artful and creative. Finish off the experience with the KA Sushi gome spice pan or your favorite flavor mochi.

Sat outside in the patio fir happy hour. Service was good. Great place for a date
The food was excellent and the ambiance was nice
The restaurant was not big like I imagined. The hostess who sat us was also the server for all other tables including ours. The food was decent the best one in my opinion was the sushi that had wagyu slices on top. The signature drinks they had were good however, I wasn’t wowed by the whole experience. It was nice to try out but I wouldn’t come back. There wasn’t any atmosphere to vibe with just service.
Love everything about this place, the food is amazing and the cocktails are so good! The only complaint would be they close so early!! By 10 they won’t let you order nothing more ☺️
Love this place
Everything was delicious, service was fast and we couldn’t have enjoyed our dinner more! Thank you, Ka!
We are here at least once a month, and KA Sushi never disappoints. I am a vegetarian and can enjoy several creative options (Eryngii mushroom nigiri is a must) and my sushi loving girlfriend is always satisfied with the fish options.
Presentation is nice, service is fair. The quality of fish can be a lot better. The Hama Ebi tasted fishy, some o toro did not taste as fresh as it suppose to be.
Attentive service, patio seating (Covid), yummy food. Happy hour is awesome!!
The Cure cocktail is fantastic. And I love the Smokey tempura roll.
Excellent experience, great happy hour specials, amazing food!
Great food, great cocktails
I just wasn’t impressed with KA although we tried. They just don’t do service very well. We ordered appetizers and shared plates, along with some Nigiri and rolls. They brought out everything backwards and we’re not apologetic at all. It was like we take it and like it, they were too busy to care. No hot tea and we sat outside in 50 degrees weather. They sat us next to a heater, but moved it 5 minutes later away from us enough it wasn’t even effective.
They don’t have good wait staff and they don’t seem to foster an atmosphere of good service. The food was good, but the experience was terrible. We’ll find another sushi spot.
The service was excellent! And the dishes were creative. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre. Fortunately, it wasn’t expensive. So, for anyone on a budget craving a unique twist on sushi, this is your place! For me, when I have a hankering for sushi, my palate has very specific expectations, so satisfying it typically has me spending more. While I’m not likely to return, I would recommend this place for those looking for an inventive dinner on a budget!
Great and consistent food and service. Every dish is 10 points.
Great value, quick service, and the food was good.
Went to KA for the first time for happy hour and WOW. $1 raw & Rockefeller oysters, fresh crudo, unique rolls, yummy soups/apps, amazing drinks! Cant say enough good things. Covered & heated patio was also a plus! Can’t wait to go back.
The hostess was very rude but our waiter was very fast and friendly. Food was great!
The food is always amazing. Our service was terrible. We waited at our table for over 15 minutes before someone came by (tables that were sat after us had immediate attention). Our orders were messed up but the food runner quickly corrected it. Our waiter never asked us if we wanted another round of cocktails (he actually never came by our table). Usually, a great date night but was very disappointed.
Food was great! Definitely my new goto Sushi spot!
Food was pretty good. Service could've been better. Price was moderate.
Great sushi and service!
Just when I thought it couldn’t get better it does. The Hamachi Chile was amazing!
Made the reservation a week in advance for valentines day date for two, they tried to seat us in their less desirable area of the restaurant with families. We spoke up and they accommodated our request to sit in the main area of the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was great. I would recommend it to friends and I will return :)
Love this place and visit frequently when I come to Houston
Sadly, this trip the food was lackluster. There are better sushi spots in Houston.
Second time in one week - can’t get over the oysters
Oysters were incredible. All food was tasty and delightfully prepared
Service was incredibly slow. We ended up leaving without ordering more due to the long wait time. Quality was average. I prefer Jellyfish on Ella Blvd and its BYOB!
It was good but they started to clean up as we were still sitting there at the sushi counter and gave you a feeling they wanted us out o
Service was fantastic and the food/drinks were delicious. We will definitely be going back.
Mediocre food and we tried a lot. Otoro, salmon belly, madai, crudos, duck, oysters. All poorly executed from improperly cut sashimi to salty duck and overly dressed oysters. We won’t be back.
Birthday dinner for my wife. Very accommodating re allergies, gluten-free, etc. very attentive waitstaff. Nice happy hour re drinks, etc. Good sushi, soup and hand rolls. One of our favorite, go-to sushi establishments, in the Houston Heights neighborhood.
Pound for Pound the best in Houston!
The setting was absolutely amazing! They have an incredible happy hour!
I haven't eaten a worse meal in Houston. The food was awful. The sushi was poorly cut, smelly and inedible.
Ka has consistent, high quality sushi that is family friendly without giving you the family friendly environment. I feel like a cool person again!
Recommend the scallops you get to make them at your table on a hot plate. The sushi was so good
Great place for quick business lunch in the Heights with delicious, fresh rolls and sushi pieces.
Food portions are too small.
