Alex was great and provided amazing service. My wife and I truly enjoyed this dining experience.
This was my second time dining here and, just like the first time, it did not disappoint. The food is beyond amazing, service is flawless, pace of the dinner was great. I cannot recommend this place enough.
Greta place loved Ali. The drinks were great, food was flavorful and ambiance was chill.
My husband an I had a rough week at work, so we treated ourselves to a dinner at Juniper & Ivy. They certainly delivered! We had a drink at the bar and then were seated at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Our server was knowledgeable about everything, and even prepared a tasting experience for us, along with wine pairing.
Everything was incredible! The food, service, atmosphere… all of it!! We will certainly be going back!
This place is amazing. The food is incredible, the experience is fantastic and service is spot on.
The offerings from snacks to small plates to plates were creative and unique.
Loved the Everything Hawaiian bread and the salmon plate.
Service was exceptional with engagement from any number of their staff and Jennifer was very attentive.
Anniversary dinner and the restaurant was fabulous, clean , great service, good ambience . The menu is different and all the food choices we tried were great . We will be back next time in San Diego
Everything is so delicious! Been many times and never disappoints
We had a great experience at Juniper & Ivy! The food was amazing and truly speaks for itself, but the service really brings it to the next level. We never had an empty glass. Our server, Ali, was absolutely amazing and made our time there a blast. Would definitely return.
For refined palates, for foodies, for outstanding dining, Juniper & Ivy will satisfy beyond all expectations a diner's gustatory exploration of aromas and tastes!
Phenomenal everything. The service was outstanding. Food delish. Ambiance just right. It was a heavenly dining experience. Thank you!
Amazing food and amazing service. We will definitely be back!
The food at Juniper & Ivy is amazingly great! The portions are small, but, the flavors are divine. Our server, Riley, was one of the best we have had anywhere.
My partner and I are a very loyal customer to Juniper & Ivy. However we we’re truly disappointed with the new menu! We had high expectations for the dishes since everything is always so delightful but this time around it was just awful and distasteful! I hope everything goes back to the normal because if not you will loose many more loyal customers! Customer service is always superb but it’s only one portion of the experience.
Tostada was out of this world. Mattie and Patrick were amazing. Thankyou
Nice food nice place.
Went for my wife and I’s 9th year wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. We haven’t been out on a date night since lockdown happened so to finally feel like normal human beings felt great. The food was awesome as usual. Got small bites and started w/ The Everything Hawaiian Bread. The Tempura Fried Maitake was a really good starter. Beet salad was refreshing. Wife and i decided to get the Uni Rigatoni and Butternut Tortellini which was A1!!! And to end the end the night, their famous dessert Yodel. The waiters and staff were very attentive and left us alone for a good amount of time just to have that feeling it was just “US.” Thanks again Juniper and Ivy for the memorable evening!
A love their food, it is so good!!
The ambiance is so amazing. Beautiful. The hostess was absolutely the worst way to start a restaurant experience, and the bathrooms were so disgusting. My husband made them aware but it was beyond gross.
Our waiter was terrific.
Food was mediocre for the price.
We had a fabulous anniversary celebration at Juniper and Ivy. It was our first time there and was a bit nervous going out to dinner because of Covid. We were seated at an outdoor table socially distanced with a heat lamp next to us so it was perfect. The food and service were amazing!! Every staff member wished us a Happy Anniversary so it made us feel special. We ordered mainly from the Snacks and Small Plates section and everything was delicious but the two dishes that stood out were the Tostada and crispy pork under the Snacks section. We enjoyed it so much we ordered double of each. We will definitely be back again!!
Food was excellent..not impressed by outdoor patio, felt like a tables on a parking lot. But inside was very nice.
Some of the best service I’ve experienced in a fine dining restaurant. From the host to our server, managers asking if everything was fine. Also it was our anniversary and pretty much every staff member wished us a happy anniversary. Amazing overall!
Waiter was excellent . Front desk person was an idiot . Manager made up for her incompetence and rudeness. Food eclectic and fresh .
The food was underwhelming… very hyped up, overpriced and did not deliver. Average at best. Service was good though!
Great atmosphere and service! Both the concierge and the server were sweet and had great customer service skills!
Amazing! We love the restaurant. Great service, the food was really good. Every single thing that we ordered was delicious.
Loved everything from the food, ambiance, to the overall experience & service.
This is truly our favorite go to place for any snd all special occasions.
The duck was awesome! Cocktails were just okay.
Service was great. The outdoor dining was loud due to the proximity to the sirport
Good food at astronomical prices -- what's to like?
We had 3 appetizers: tuna handrolls, which were good, but honestly there was too little fish to be able to guess the quality.
Brie flatbread, which was ok, but about the size of a hamburger patty. How is that a flatbread? Don't J&I know what people think a flatbread size is?
Beet salad. The salad was good, beets tasty, cheese nice, but the pumpernickel crumbs gave no flavor.
3 mains: Quinoa vegetarian entree. The standout for worst thing I've tasted recently, including lunch I've packed myself for lunch. Sort of tasted like kimchi, but nothing in the descriptor prepared us.
Wagyu beef: Beef was very nice, tasty and wonderful texture. The stuff on the side was a joke. About a mouthful of stuff. Was it tomato based? Why not give a balanced meat/other plate for this dish?? It was a decent portion of beef, plus almost nothing.
Whole duck for 2. I really enjoyed the breast and the grain/veg. The legs were prepared in a different way, deep fried? They were similar to jerky consistency and taste. Mostly dried out and salty. Why!!??
2 desserts: Dessert was a highlight, given rest of menu not too pricy, but wonderful preparation and flavor. We got the two that didn't have pineapple.
We had a few drinks, beet cocktail was really interesting and tasty. Couple glasses wine. Kids had homemade soda, which was also pretty nice.
All in all, for $100/person, it was just ok. I wouldn't know what to suggest to eat, because everything that we tried missed the mark except the desserts. So I guess that's what I suggest: go for dessert.
Long waits for drinks. Apps came out before drinks arrived. Service just wasn't there. Manager came over to apologize.
The food and service were very good. The only thing that would have made it better is if we could have ordered separate dishes. We ordered the duck, which was very good, but it was for two people, you could not get a single portion. We wanted different dishes, but compromised and agreed to share the duck. Other than that, nice meal and nice evening.
Amazing restaurant. Favorite place in SD
Didn't live up to the hype. Everything was fine, but not great. Thought it was going to be very upscale, but it didn't feel like it.
It’s been nearly two years since my last visit to Juniper and Ivy due to covid, but our dining experience was top notch. Each plate that came our way was pure magic - my thanks to the kitchen. Amazed by the flawless service and attentiveness of the entire staff. If you’re looking for a night out to shake you out of your covid blues put Juniper and Ivy at the top of your list. The expense is more than worth it. Cheers!
Excellent all around.
Great place, and top notch servicd
Excellent food. Sat in the “patio.” One of the nicer outdoor pop up installations since the pandemic. Barely tell this used to be a parking lot. Food was excellent as usual.
