Juniper & Ivy absolutely delivered one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in San Diego. From the moment we sat at the chef’s counter (highly recommend!), we were immersed in the energy and artistry of the kitchen with a front row seat to culinary magic. We started with the homemade sourdough bread with honey butter and beef carpaccio (sadly devoured too quickly for photos). The bread was perfectly crusty with a tender inside, and the honey butter was sweet, creamy, and addictive. The carpaccio was delicate, fresh, and packed with flavor. For entrees, we had the Linguine del Mare and Flank Steak with potatoes and mushrooms. The seafood in the linguine was fresh and plentiful, and the pasta was clearly homemade, although we felt the sauce could have used a bit more depth. The flank steak was a standout and some of the most tender, flavorful beef we’ve ever had. Portions were generous and we left with leftovers. Service was friendly and very prompt, and they even brought out a complimentary birthday dessert, which was such a nice touch. The restaurant itself is beautiful, modern, and well-designed, though it’s on the louder side due to the music and buzz of conversation. The only downside was a bit of a wait past our reservation time, but once we were seated, everything else was smooth sailing. All in all, Juniper & Ivy is a fantastic spot for upscale dining with thoughtful food, great service, and a vibrant atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back

This place is sick, we sat at the bar in front of the dessert station and watched the chefs work while we at and talked to them. The waiting staff are legitimate wizards when it comes to refilling glasses and taking dishes. Fantastic experience even better food. Going to make this one an annual visit.

Celebrated a friend’s birthday here on a Thursday evening and it was phenomenal! Our server, Sage, helped make our celebration a special one by sharing her thoughts on ordering, knowing the menu, and how she showed how much she loves what she does. We shared a few different “bites” and “shares” and “entrees”, as well as delicious desserts in addition to the treat they brought to celebrate the birthday girl. The restaurant has been remodeled and there is a new chef since I ate here last and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the vibe and the service!

Bitterly disappointed. It was our favorite go to for special events but no more. The martinis were served in “mini” glasses and if there was any alcohol in them it was minimal. There were four of us and they brought a plate of amuse-bouche with 3 items on it??? The menu was extremely limited and they do not accommodate people with food allergies. Finally, food was not seasoned and had little taste. Not a good experience and especially not for what they charge. Look elsewhere for a special dinner and evening.

Everything was fabulous, including the service inside the restaurant which was excellent as always…the only thing contributing to the lower Service rating was that the Valet showed up late so we had to drive around for a bit searching for a spot before ultimately paying a fee to park down the street and around the corner, so we then had to walk back up to the restaurant… The service inside the restaurant was excellent as it always is! And we asked them to get us in and out swiftly as we were heading to Humphries for a concert and they did exactly that!

The food here was amazing, as was the service. There was a little bit of a wait when we first got there, but they gave us menus to take a look at while we waited, and the food was certainly worth the wait. You can tell the food is fresh and the people working there really enjoy it. 10/10, would recommend. We are actually planning on going back again. Thank you so much!
