From the OpenTable editors: Top Chef alum Evelyn Garcia and co-owner Henry Lu’s international roots and innovative cuisine are on full display at this James Beard Award-nominated hotspot. In a cozy warehouse-like space outfitted with tropical plants, the pair serve shareable Latin- and Asian-influenced dishes like fried chicken with shrimp paste and Thai chile or beef tartare with a sesame buñuelo, plus excellent sake-based cocktails.

    Everything we tasted was fantastic! We sat at the bar facing the kitchen so we saw the action happening through dinner. They do not deviate from the cocktail menu, so we were forced to order two of their specialties and we were very glad we did! Great little spot. The only negative was the limited parking, so just plan ahead for that and enjoy your dinner!

    Such a wonderful dining experience don't know where to start. Don't miss the Gulf Shrimp aguachile - the favorite dish of the evening. The problem is what is second favorite?? Everything from the brisket to the pork ribs to the Salvadorian tamal to the sausage (think gourmet , most delicious corn dog ever) was divine. We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and this is competing for the best meal any of us has ever eaten.

    We enjoyed an amazing brunch. Our waiter was friendly and offered great suggestions. We ordered the fried chicken which is served with a hot chili honey, the skin was crispy, not oily and meat was moist. The sauce served with the beef brisket was savory with hints of heat. We were not disappointed with any of the items, coconut sticky rice always a favorite. They added a recent special, cornbread French toast with peaches that was a perfectly delicious end.

    The shrimp, the tamal, and the Chinese sausage were all stellar bites, but nothing was less than delicious. The service was exceptional. Our server was professional in the best way. Dirty plates and glasses were removed instantly. When the candle on our table went out it was noticed and relit immediately. The one thing we didn’t love was the wine pairing. The first wine was a great match for the dish, but after that the connections were not as clear to us, but then we’re not really wine people. We’ll be recommending Jun to our friends!
