Julep Bar stands as an illustrious recipient of the prestigious James Beard Award, celebrated for its exquisite blend of craft cocktails, thoughtfully curated bar bites, and an enchanting ambiance. The menus, ever-evolving to mirror the changing seasons, captivate with their meticulous emphasis on fine ingredients and flavors. Located on Washington Ave between Sawyer and Silver St. The neighborhood is full of restaurants and B&B Butcher's Steak House is within walking Distance.

We always take walk-ins so shoot us a texas or stop by and see us if you don't see a table available.

The party kicks off at 1pm and we’re serving up ice-cold Mint Juleps, chilled bottles of Champagne, expertly crafted cocktails, and delicious bites all day long. Dance to a live DJ set from DJ Freddy B, enjoy live music from Clutch City Band, and catch every moment of the “most exciting two minutes in sports” with a live stream of the Kentucky Derby race. We’re thrilled to welcome back 1502 & Sterne Fine Cigar Company, who will be onsite offering premium cigars to complete your Derby experience. Our goal every year? To throw the most epic lawn party Houston has ever seen—and this year, we're going bigger than ever. We’re transforming our space into a floral wonderland with over 5,000 fresh-cut flowers and full tenting, so the celebration goes on rain or shine. We’ll have two full-service bars, a hydration station, so there’s something for everyone—whatever your mood or preference. We had Ezra as our server and he was fantastic, he was checking in in us even though we moved to another section of the establishment. He had recommendations and was very quick with our orders, all you ask for when it comes to coming for a quick round with a couple of friends.

The food menu is limited but it is DELICIOUS!!!! We had the lobster dip, truffle sliders, and truffle fries. Everything was amazing. The drinks, one was the Snake Bite and the other Diablo-100%.

Stopped by for a one drink but ended up having more and some small bites. Loved the ambiance and the service! It was the end of happy hour and very chill. They make one of the best Vieux Carrés in the city!

Love this place in general. On the weekends they get kind of busy and flustered sometimes come off as rude but mostly a great spot.

The manager came to our table 3 times to tell us that we will need to vacate our table by 9 . I had made reservations on open table for 7:15pm, he started approaching our table at 8:40pm saying open table reservations are for 2 hrs only while there were 3 empty tables in our close vicinity. Very disappointed with his behavior, will not recommend

We were a group of 8 who decided to have pre-dinner drinks and light snacks at Julep for Valentine’s Day. This was my first time going and I was not disappointed. The ambiance was really nice in the room they sat us. Almost felt like a speakeasy to me. The cheddar popcorn and French onion dip with caviar were delicious. Drinks were great and the staff were nice and attentive. Overall, we enjoyed our time there and I would go back to try more of the menu items.

Julep is a quaint cocktail bar with a vintage feel. The staff was kind and the playlist was a vibe.
