Had a wonderful experience at Jujube last night for my birthday. Made a reservation and was assigned a quieter table, per request. Drinks came promptly, as did appetizers to share. Dumplings and fried cauliflower were fresh and tasty. I’d hoped for the hangar steak with cucumber salad. It was perfectly cooked and the accompanying peanut sauce had a nice kick. We did not indulge in dessert and I was given a lovely birthday card thanking me for choosing Jujube to celebrate my birthday. I’ll be back.

The calamari and new eggplant dumplings were excellent! We ventured from our favorite short rib wantons to have the hanger steak and that did not disappoint. Our server, who was new to us and I am sorry I have forgotten her name, was very good, highly professional. She was friendly, courteous and attentive without rushing us. Always fun to have a visit with "Rosie" during our dinner! /jrh

We both got sick with rancid peanuts I think. Honestly the food was otherwise really good. We removed the bad peanuts from the king pao chicken and it was very good but I think even just a few was enough to make both me and my wife sick during the night.

It’s been a while since we last visited Jujube, and I’m so pleased to report that the food, cocktails, and service are as top notch as always. We had a party of 5 with two older kids. It was the first time for our kids at Jujube. There was something for everyone. We enjoyed sharing 4 small plates, 2 large plates, and a fee desserts (which was more than enough!). Our favorites were the short rib wontons, pork belly dumplings, the bolognese, and the bulgogi beef. We are excited to visit again and sample a different array of dishes because everything sounded amazing!

We ate here before catching a jazz show at Sharp 9 Gallery and couldn't be happier. I ordered the Jujube Bolognese which was like an Asian spaghetti comfort food dish--I cannot wait to go back and order this again. I told my husband to not be surprised if I ask him to drive here from our home in north Raleigh the next time I don't feel well. Definitely ask for the chili oil. It's like the flakes have been toasted and are perfectly salted. Hubs got the Beef Bulgogi which was also fantastic. 4 stars on service as our waiter seemed like maybe he had a rough day and was ready to go home. He was fantastic at keeping my constantly empty water filled, but didn't tell us of any specials or give recommendations without prompting. He was polite and didn't leave us needing anything. We sat outside in August which I was a bit nervous about, but the outdoor area had great shade and thick clear plastic partitions keeping the NC heat and humidity out. That plus several large fans above that were on at just the right level made for a very enjoyable outdoor dining experience. 10/10 recommend.

I have been a longtime fan of JuJuBe, but was very disappointed in my latest experience there. The server failed to submit my order, so I waited for 10 minutes while my companions ate their meals. The manager offered me another glass of wine on the house, but I wasn’t interested in a second glass. My meal was not comped, although we were all charged a 20% service charge, since we were a party of 8. You can do better, JuJuBe!

The dumplings were fabulous. You could really tell they’re handmade with a lot of care. Service was super. They had a good team approach. Our entrees were wonderful but we were too full to order dessert. The bar makes a great martini. Go there!!!

Jujube is one of our favorites. The food is always excellent and interesting (the pork belly buns cannot be beat). The service is always outstanding as well -- we really like the way that different servers help our their mates by filling water glasses, removing dishes, etc. It makes it feel like a team working together. While it is my favorite dish, the Beef Bulgogi just perfect for my tastes with enough heat to get my attention but not so overwhelming that the sweetness of the gochujang is masked. Cannot say enough positive things about this place -- they are not just good, but consistently excellent and that's hard to achieve.

The menu seems to be evolving. I miss the duck confit spring rolls and the shrimp with rice noodles dish. There is a new (to me) dish with rice noodles and mushrooms that I enjoyed.

Had a great experience on our first -- but not last -- visit to this gem hidden in Glen Lennox! Service exceptional at this price point -- attentive, smart, and friendly. Beef bulgogi had a delicious sauce and just the right amount of heat. Duck friend rice also quite good (even if the duck was cooked a little more than my personal preference). Great dumplings, extensive wine, beer and sake lists, and the current featured cocktail, a Wasabi margarita, is a must-try.

Food was good and our waitress was outstanding, but it took an excessive amount of time to receive our entrees (she apologized a few separate times) and there was no compensation on the final bill for the significant delay — some good faith gesture would have been appreciated.

The waiter acted like he did not want to be there. He was rather abrupt and took a plate away that still had some items on it we wanted. I was given a second beer that I did not request. The food was pretty good. I had the seared rice noodles which had lovely mushrooms but nothing else. I would have hoped for some additional vegetables and or something to make it less like a middle of winter dish.
