Juju serves up small plates with bold flavors, each prepared creatively with attention to tradition, whimsy, local integrity, and, of course, deliciousness. In addition to its extensive and delicious menu, Juju features a dynamic beverage program of hand-made cocktails, extensive Sake selections and a well-chosen list of artisan wines and craft beers.
Dine at the exquisite bar, in the luxurious booths, in the main dining room, or around the fire pit on the patio. Make a meal from small plates or order a whole Peking duck to share with friends.
Just come ready for a memorable experience.
Amazing restaurant, beautiful ambience, fabulous service
We enjoyed our lunch and look forward to returning soon.
This place is fantastic. Our party of 4 ordered a lot of items to share and each one wowed us. So far my favorite all time restaurant. One complaint was the food came out too fast! Haha, when is that ever a complaint. But we did feel like we rushed through our meal, and with food that good you want to slow down and savor it. The only item I would not get again would be the deep fried chickpeas. They are only $3 so worth a try, and they are called something like "bar snacks", which is the right description. If you are going for beer and want something crunchy then that's the thing to get. For dinner though, I would not get them.
Juju Durham is our favorite restaurant and never disappoints! Excellent food, service, and staff.
We’ve been to Juju’s many times and the food and service is always amazing’
We went to JuJu on a Thursday before a DPAC show and was very impressed with the quality of the food. Every item we ordered was delicious and different from each other. We liked it so much that when we had out of town company in to celebrate my birthday, we back again on Monday. Again had a wonderful experience. Had to order a few of the same things and tried some new ones. The Cauliflower and the Wok Charred Corn are not to be missed!
We were here for a celebration dinner and had an absolutely amazing time as always! The food here is unmatched by anywhere I’ve been and we were pleasantly surprised by the serving sizes, I think they might have made them larger than they used to be. Service was fantastic by everyone all the way through, and everyone thanked us for celebrating with them which was a nice touch.
The best food, ambiance and unobtrusive service. We had THE BEST time!
Oh! How I've missed this restaurant. Love the small tasty plates of wonderful food! We ordered too much but enjoyed eating it again the next day as they box-up your leftovers. Tuna, Brussel sprouts, short rib wontons, chicken fried oysters, and my new favorite..salad rolls.
Juju is one of our favorites! This night we were disappointed that all our plates came out at once and some of our favorite items are gone! The coffee service needs the coffee to be hot and the sugar presentation back!
Always fun to dine at Juju. Interesting menu with very flavorful food. My favorite dishes are the chaat and the beef wontons. There are many choices
What a gem of a restaurant. Great small plates, good selection of vegan foods. Very tasty well-prepared food. Our second time at Ju Ju and we’ll be back. Highly recommend the seared scallops.
Took my mother and daughter here for a nice dinner on a weeknight. This was not our first visit and not our favorite. Seems the menu has changed slightly. We had the Pork Belly dumplings, mushroom and cabbage dumplings, Crab and Shrimp cake, Pork spring rolls, Bok choy and shiitakes, Chinese broccoli, fried chicken steam buns, spring rolls, and the red sangria. The BBQ dumplings were good. The Bok choy was delicious and everything else was just blah. Very bland and not memorable at all, for what we paid. Although they deny, the sangria had a fizz and tasted pre-mixed. Mateo's red sangria is the one to beat. They've changed the way the steam buns come out. It was more like a chicken tender between two pieces of dough. Big change from the previous menu. If I'm paying, I won't be back. Server was busy and did her best to attend to our table. We were seated up against a wall, table for 4 with one chair missing, close to a register. Waiters brushed up against me the entire meal. Sadly, that is no exaggeration.
Juju is always great! The papaya salad and pork belly crepe were both especially tasty.
The food at JuJu Durham is excellent. Every bite we had was delicious from the general tso's cauliflower to the octopus -- prepared perfectly. Loved the specialty cocktails too -- a great mix of flavors. Our only minor critique is that the tables are incredibly small -- particularly for a restaurant that encourages small plate sharing. Other than that, we loved the restaurant and will be coming back!
Service and food were both outstanding! Ryan was very friendly and knowledgeable.
My friend and I shared tuna, Brussel sprouts, diver scallops and chicken. All were delicious. Looking forward to returning. Excellent service, ambiance, and food. A winner!
It was the perfect place to hold an one on one lunch meeting
Great service and great food at a reasonable price. Took my wife for our anniversary. Had a great time.
Service was impeccable, Erin was amazing. Food was incredibly delicious!
Great food and great service
Great spot. Really good food.
The food was incredible!! We had a large group, ordered about 15 different menu items, and every single dessert on the menu. Each item was so yummy! Lots of variety. My only complaint is that it was very hot/stuffy in there. The air conditioning didn't seem like it was even on, and our table was right by the door where servers kept going in/out to wait on the tables outside.... it was about 95 degrees outside. Can't wait to go back, though!
I scheduled a reservation several days ahead in prep for the possibility of it being full with all the Duke students back on campus. I arrived with my friend and we were shown to the spot by the window. My friend was on crutches after a knee injury and we asked if sitting at the bar would be ok. The hostess had no problem in switching our tables to a more accessible arrangement.
Food was great and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Excellent food and service!
The party I was with raved about the food and service!! They accommodated our food restrictions perfectly and were so helpful! We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!
Fantastic. Great food. Fast. Totally worth an evening avoiding downtown.
Great bday celebration.
We visited Juju for our anniversary and were seated at a nice booth. Our food was delicious and the complimentary chocolate mousse dessert was a wonderful way to end the meal.
I mentioned in our reservation that it was our wedding anniversary, and the hostess at the door confirmed they "got my note" on the reservation, but our waiter didn't mention it nor accommodated us in any additional, special way, which was a big bummer. Definitely won't be coming back. Not a great value either.
Wonderful food and location!
I really enjoyed it, I am in the process of checking out many date night type of restaurants and I had a really great experience here. We ordered the fried chicken bun, duck fat fried rice, Sichuan Chicken, and pork/shrimp dumplings. Overall each item was very well made and the presentation was wonderful. I found myself wanting more of the chicken fried bun and Sichuan chicken. Those are definitely two you must try. Sichuan chicken pairs really well with the fried rice, which has a unique flavor in a good way.
Would I recommend this place? Yes. Would I go back? Yes.
It is a little pricey compared to since places but is worth it in my opinion. Go at least once.
When I suggested Juju Durham for dinner, my wife asked what was the occasion. I replied, “Thursday!” We usually go there for special occasions, but that day I just wanted to enjoy dinner.
We did. At first, we could not decide between BBQ Pork Belly, Chicken and Scallion, and Pork and Shrimp dumplings. When our server, Sarah, asked us what our first course would be, we just ordered all three. They were excellent but the Chicken and Scallion won as best in show.
Next, we decided to try the Gochugaru-Lime Edamame. They were perfectly cooked but seemed missing that hint of lime we hoped for. Nevertheless, the next course would have knocked our socks off, it we were not in sandals. The Hickory Smoked Pork Ribs were divinely-inspired messiness. The only thing missing were finger bowls to clean up our fingers, but they did receive thorough treatment using the old fashioned method.
We finished with sorbet that gave each of us our favorite, strawberry-yuzu for me and coconut-guava for my wife. The sweet lightness gave us the finish we hoped for.
One thing I noted was the wait staff. They all were working to make sure our water glasses were always full, the table as clear as it can be in the world of small plates, and smiles for everyone. Waiting on the public is hard work. They did it well and with the friendliness one hopes to have.
Mucho delicioso Asian fusion
We enjoyed our dinner at Juju. Our table was in a noisy spot due to a boisterous group next to us, but that was not the fault of the restaurant. Our food was excellent, with the exception of the lamb "lollipops, which disappointed us by being very fatty. Our very fine and attentive server asked how everything was and we were honest about the lamb; he was genuinely concerned, spoke with the chef, who said he would check the lamb to be sure future diners did not experience the same, and the lamb was promptly removed from our bill. We were very impressed by how seriously we were taken and how our satisfaction was the goal. Highly recommended!
We will be back!!!
The food was good and our waiter was very attentive. The only negative was the hostess(es)- very rushed and loudly spoke rudely about other customers; kind of soured the experience.
This was a birthday dinner for our family, first visit to Juju for any of us. We were seated and served promptly. Our wonderful server, Elise (sp?), explained that we order small plates to share, which was really quite fun! We each ordered 2 dishes. My only small complaint was that an order of "crabcake" really is only one, although it was delicious. I recommend the Dill Pickle sour beer, Hawaiian Ahi Poke, Fried Chicken Roll, and Drunken Noodles, and any of the vegetables. The chocolate mousse was a GREAT dessert for the 4 of us, a few bites each, and the server even lit a birthday candle in it!
Juju always is a favorite!
One of my favorite restaurants when visiting the Raleigh Durham area on business. Food is amazing.
