I like this restaurant having eaten there several times a year since 2006. Last Saturday the service was slow and uneven. Cocktails and wine took over 10 minutes each time we ordered. 20 minutes between courses. 10 minutes to get a check and pay the bill. I will be back but more attention to the guests will be needed. Had the Black Cod! It was perfect (once we got it).

Due to menu changes we couldn’t find anything that met our needs. We left.
It is disappointing because prior to the changed menu this was a favorite.

Modern. Very very good food. Beet salad and ahi nachos We sat on the patio and were warm despite it being a cool day. Service was adequate, with apologies for them having a large party, though the patio was only half filled and indoor almost empty.
As we were about to leave an older woman at a nearby table fell and collapsed unconscious. The restaurant personnel did not seem to respond professionally --- we had to make the 9-11 call and other customers tried to care for her. No wait staff did anything. Fire Department response was probably 5 minutes. A bit disconcerting to say the least.

Great brunch at JRDN. Tower 23 is one of those special spots in PB that is nicer than the average waterfront spot for the neighborhood, but still casual. Service was exceptional and the brunch options are diverse. The view of course is a nice bonus!

Food was disappointing. Restaurant is very noisy, not conducive to any sort of conversation. We've been here prior to the renovation and really enjoyed food and atmosphere. This current experience was very disappointing.

I have been patronizing Restaurant Week for years. It's a great way of getting to know a restaurant. It's disappointing that a participating restaurant cannot serve their SDRW menu because they run out. This is the first after 14 years. The food we ordered from the regular menu were good but they were not what we expected to taste.

We were very disappointed with JRDN. Wanted to have quite evening with my wife to celebrate her birthday. Several large groups in restaurant. Extremely loud, lots of profanity. Definitely not an atmosphere for relaxed dining. Food was marginal and expensive. Service was poor. Don't plan to go back even though we were staying at Tower23. I will say that the morning breakfast/brunch was good.

JRDN is amazing! I haven’t had the chance to get in since the remodel last year, and it looks fabulous. Great new set up, same great food and service. Can’t wait to get back!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time JRDN! Our server Thomas was an absolute delight and checked in on us multiple times and felt like they truly wanted us to be satisfied every second we were in the restaurant. We shared the ahi tuna nachos and they were killer! We also had the rainbow sushi roll to share and we were astonished with the freshness of each different fish. My girlfriend had the lobster pasta and said that the butternut squash tasted exactly like spaghetti and the dish was overall incredibly flavorful. I had the lamb steak which was to die for and plated on a wonderful bed of mushrooms and greens. Overall, we both had an amazing experience from the second we walked in to the second we left! Thank you JRDN and Thomas for making our anniversary so memorable. I hope to be back soon to try all the other wonderful dishes with a nice view of the ocean! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Beautiful setting and restaurant. Very nice staff. The food was meh. My soda was flat and my steak salad was unimpressive. The steak was a little tough and they gave me a butter knife to cut it. The salad was in wedge style so I had to all the work to put it in bite sizes. The tomatoes were hot (yuck) and I’d prefer no fried onions in the salad. How about a healthier version with veggies in it instead?

I've always really enjoyed JRDN for breakfast and lunch...
This was our first dinner.
We were so pleasantly surprised! It steps up to the romantic, relaxed evening wonderfully!
And each bite of food was so amazing! Beyond delicious!! Wow!!

I would actually rate it 3.5 because the food is quite good! It was more the service that left something to be desired. We ate there 3 or 4 times over the week that we stayed in the attached hotel Tower 23 (which was great, staff there great as well) and a few times the service was quite nice. But the couple times we went in for supper, coincidentally or not the few times we booked through Open Table, we were met with what almost felt like contempt. Specifically on Christmas which was disappointing, but we still tipped 25-30% because it was Christmas and who wants to be a Scrooge? A low point on an otherwise great vacation.

The Christmas prime rib was one of the toughest I’ve ever had. I first was given a butter knives than had to ask for steak knives. Still it was difficult to cut. The service was not professional and the wait for service was long after being seated. The mixed drink (Jameison whiskey sour) was just adequate but nothing to rave about. It came in a champagne glass instead of a shot glass So my next drink was beer from the tap. Not too organized as a whole. LOVED THE HOTEL!!! but the restaurant side was below par.

Very disappointing as we had dined here prior to the re opening. The wait time was unacceptable. We ordered 2 $110 Tomahawk steaks that were very over cooked, also unacceptable. We then ordered sushi and dessert because by now we were starving! Inedible as well. Went in the garbage. It’s a shame as the view is amazing. Will not be returning.

We have loved JRDN in years past but were disappointed this time. They went through a huge re-invention last year and we missed the 'old' menu (some items are the same) but a couple of our favorites were gone and the ambiance has also changed.

This restaurant was really pretty. It was dark on the patio if you sit against the “window”, and you can’t see out. All you can see if your reflection, not the water or people on the boardwalk. They had a light blue glowing block on the table was was hard to see the menu , so we moved one table closer to the restaurant and it was perfect lighting. We went to try the tomahawk which was recommended, we asked how long it takes, she said 45-60 mins followed with “but were out, we ran out yesterday”. Bummer!! We settled for the Rib eye and the skirt steak! We asked for bread & butter in the meantime. That part was not tasty at all. The bread was stale and had a weird texture, the butter was mixed with something, so when she came around to see if we wanted more butter, we said there was still some in the basket, no thank you!! Altho we were looking forward to trying the tomahawk, Both of these choices were delicious! Food was delivered fast also! Waitress was great, she kept checking on us. We will have to make another date, and make sure they have the tomahawk for us

We stayed at the fabulous Tower 23 Hotel and were thrilled to dine at their beachfront restaurant. We had dinner there one night - sushi, 2 breakfasts - enjoyed the avocado toast and eggs and had lunch one day - salad with grilled chicken (grilled chicken not on menu but they accommodated request without hesitation). Prices are great, food very good. Location perfect!
