   This was our first visit and we were truly impressed! Our server Sandra was attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly- The food was great. Wine selection very good. We ordered the broccolini and a rice ball to share. And then a classic pizza. We will be back!

   First the service was fabulous! Prompt and helpful guidance for ordering. Unfortunately the food did not match. The fried artichokes hearts and mozzarella sticks were dry, overdone and heavily breaded. We asked for a lightly dressed cesear salad and it was soaking in dressing. We couldn’t eat it and sent it back. They kept it on the bill.

   We had an excellent dinner at Josephine, the food was delicious. Best Caesar salad we can remember having in a restaurant, pastas and pizzas were fantastic. One word of warning, or advice, and the only thing that wound up slightly souring the experience. When we were placing our order, our very welcoming and cheerful server told us the menu was built around the idea of family style, and sharing. No problem, we love to eat that way. Second note was that it was a "shotgun" kitchen - when things are ready, they come out. I'd never heard that specific term, but we love small plates restaurants where you order up a bunch of food and it all rolls out over time, as opposed to being spaced out and coursed. Well, that didn't prepare us for Josephine. We ordered some starters to share, salads, pastas and a pizza. To her credit, as we were completing our order, our server again reminded us of the "shotgun" approach and I told her we understood, we knew it would be a little unstructured but presumably we would get our salads and starters first, then the mains, right? She looked a little uncertain but said, "Yeah, I can try to make sure the salads come out before everything else." Short while later our meal arrived. Our *entire* meal. Flurry of servers around our table putting down salads, next to pastas, meatballs, a very delicious eggplant appetizer and a perfectly charred pepperoni pizza. Sort of couldn't believe the scene that was playing out in front of my eyes, even with the advance warning, but we went with it, nothing else to do at that point. As we were leaving, my mother said she loved her pasta dish, "even though it was cold by the time I got to it!" Our shotgun blast is the only reason this place isn't getting five stars across the board. If we ever go back, and I'm still thinking about that Caesar salad, we will order in at least two or even three stages to achieve the optimal Josephine experience. Recommend, but be careful.

   Very pleasant atmosphere. Food was really poor. Limited choice for lunch (also different from their online menu) and nothing like a restaurant. Basic caesar in a pizza crust. This is not cuisine.

   We showed up at our reservation time no table waiting for an hour then we were seated near the bathroom. My wife got upset because it was Mother’s Day and we wind up leaving without having dinner.p

We understand how important this day is, and we regret that it did not go as you had hoped. I do want to provide some context, as our records show that we offered your party a table just five minutes after your reservation time. The longer delay that followed was due to your party declining that initial table and then the second table we offered you which we understand may not have felt ideal for your celebration. In total, we offered three different seating options in an effort to find one that best suited your preferences — something we tried our best to do despite the extreme demand on what is traditionally the busiest service of the year.

   Had a pretty bad experience at Josephine. Went for dinner with a reservation and was seated immediately. We placed our order within 10 minutes and received our appetizer and one of the entrees slowly but within a reasonable amount of time. The wait staff mentioned that the second entrée would be arriving shortly, but it wasn't brought to the table for another hour! The wait staff was at first apologetic but then was clearly overwhelmed and I had to track them down to even tell them that I needed my meal boxed up to go because my partner had finished her meal 45 minutes prior. They comped my entrée, but I have never been out to eat and had a meal take so long with the staff aware that it was happening.

   We went here for Mother’s Day Brunch it was not what I hoped for. There was a hair in my pancakes service was dull and slow. unfortunately we won’t be coming back

   It was Mother’s Day so it was very busy which is to be expected however it’s seems as if they weren’t prepared it. Our food took a long time, our severe was excellent but the service was still slow. When we received our food any meal that had cheese was overwhelmingly cheesy. The drinks were good and the general ambiance was nice. I would try it out again on a day that isn’t as busy. I’m just assuming it wasn’t great due to how busy it was.
