Johnny's Italian Steakhouse - Jordan Creek
We enjoyed our dinning experience, but found the dinning room a bit drafty and cold.
The food was amazing and the wait staff was very good, accommodating and knowledgeable.
Our reservation was for 7:30 and did not get seated until 7:50. Waitress kept little steaming to our conversation and inserting her opinion when she was around. Always had empty water glasses, she was very slow. Not a good waitress. Needs more training.
This was not the first time I have been to this Johnny’s location, but it was the first time I was extremely disappointed with my experience. We were seated at a booth/table combo and were ready to for a great night of food and drinks to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The lighting was so dark it was nearly impossible to read the menu. We had to use our phones as flashlights in order to figure out what we wanted to eat. Once we had ordered our food and received our drinks we found ourselves unable to hear eachother from about 2 feet from eachother. The music was unnecessarily loud and ruined the intimate atmosphere that they were going for. The night wasn’t a complete loss... our waitress was great. She was there when we needed her and gone when we didn’t. May be a while before we try Johnny’s again.
Despite making a reservation in advance, I was given the table next to the kitchen. The restaurant had a great atmosphere which is completely destroyed when you can see straight into the kitchen. Being an Italian restaurant, I figured that my daughter was getting homemade mac n cheese when she ordered from the children's menu. We were both incredibly disappointed when they brought Kraft mac and cheese to the table. She refused to eat it. I ordered the parmesan crusted sirloin with stuffed shrimp. I ordered the steak medium clearly stating that I wanted it bright pink in the center. They remade it twice, and it was well done each time, not to mention the meat was tough. The manager offered to try a fourth time, but I declined as I was tired of waiting. Our server was sweet, but she never refilled our water glasses. I had to beg another server to bring us more water. Despite the mistakes with my meal, I still was given a check with no compensation! I reminded the manager that the kitchen messed up my order 3 times. He told me that he didn't discount my check, because he was under the impression that I'd eaten the whole steak. In fact, I hadn't finished it, but even if I had, I should receive compensation for the fact that after 3 attempts, the kitchen still couldn't get it right! Worst birthday dinner I've ever had... The quality of the food isn't nearly as high as the price of it.
I always enjoy Johnny's food and ambience and will continue to go back.
a little pricey but overall very good experience. Food was good and service excellent
Food and service was great as always. However, anytime the outside temperature is below 50 degrees it is cold and drafty in the restaurant, even when sitting in the back. They really need to turn the temperature up. When dining their recently, people were actually wearing coats eating dinner!!!
Had terrific food. The medallions were amazing as well as the Italian stuffed mushrooms appetizers.
For whatever reason tho it took forever to get drinks each time we ordered them.
The server was friendly. The food was delicious. There was not a long wait for the food. The choices were good. Unfortunately, they didn't have carrot cake. I thought I had remembered carrot cake from dining there in the past.
The atmosphere was good, and it was quiet enough to have a serious conversation. It would be a nice place to bring a date or someone you were trying to impress.
We go to Johnny's every year for our anniversary and special occasions in between. Never a disappointing meal and service is top notch. The filet mignon is my favorite.
We have been to Johnny’s many times and they never disappoint. The food is amazing and we love the atmosphere. I’m always telling others that they need to try it. I especially love their seared scallops, and Filet Oscar. We’ll be back!
After we were seated and our waitress returned with our drink order, our table was clear except for an almost empty Parmesan cheese bowl. I asked the waitress for napkins at least and with a bewildering look, handed me three or four cocktail napkins are use for coasters. After our appetizers were delivered I had to again as for napkins and silverware to eat with. My lobster tail was in edible. Never saw our waitress in till I found her to ask for our check which she did bring and I don’t know whose it was but it was $30 more than what it should’ve been. When she returned a second time it still was not correct. Thank goodness another waiter heard my wife and I discussing our problems in step down along with the manager help us try and correct it. We will never return nor recommend.
New Year’s Eve!!!
A great spot for NYE!
Six of us were there for new year's eve. We were put in a side room that lprobably was a conference room. No ambiance at all. No one was happy with their food. All the prices are higher than other places so you expect better food but wasn't. As an example, I had Salmon and it was over cooked and very small serving size. My baked potato was cold and could not even melt butter. Extremely disappointed with everything.
Very frustrating experience. Made a reservation a month in advance for a group of 12. Called two days prior to confirm, was assured all was set. Arrived 15 minutes early that evening, and was told by hostess table was being set up. We stood in the bar area to wait, as the remainder of our party arrived. Checked in after 25 minutes with hostess, and manager standing with her said again table was being set up. After 45 minutes of waiting (and people in my group complaining), I went to find the manager. This time he said “We are just putting menus on the table.” Great. A 45-minute wait when you make a reservation? Ridiculous.
Food so-so, nothing special. Wouldn’t recommend.
Like always very good food we have never had anything we didn't like and of coarse very good service. We got reservations 2 hours before we actually arrived on New Year's Eve when every where else was booked full.
With an early 5:30 PM reservation, made well in advance of New Year's Eve, and dressed for an evening out, we were offered a booth right beside the swinging kitchen door. With open tables in sight (we were a party of two and seated at in a large booth), we were denied our immediate request for something away from this loud kitchen entrance. "Nothing could be done." My view for the evening was a stack of floor sweepers near the kitchen door, thus the poor ambiance rating. The food was very good--we expected that. We've dined here before, but I am not eager to return.
Enjoyed dinner. Food was good. We had steaks. Need a better selection of vegetable side dishes. I don't believe that onions and red peppers are what I would call an appetizing side.
Our server was great and attentive. She was friendly, made sure we had what we needed, refilled drinks when needed but wasn’t overbearing. I didn’t like the garlic mashed potatoes and they were luke warm when they came out (she didn’t ask why they looked untouched and I normally would have complained but I was stuffed anyways). The only big negative was that we were sitting in an area that had a cold breeze. It was freezing outside and it was freezing inside (my nose was red & cold by the time we left- when we came sat down it wasn’t red or cold). I ate my dinner with my coat on and even my husband was cold. I noticed others in the restaurant also kept their coats on. If you are a person that gets cold easily, you might want to bring an extra layer because you will freeze. Overall, we will be back because our meals were prepared perfectly.
1st time there and I’ll be back. Excellent in every way!
We have made Johnny's one of our holiday traditions by eating there on Christmas Eve prior to Midnight Mass. Wonderful food selection as well as top notch service. Thank you for making it a special evening for our family.
Always an outstanding dining experience! We try to make it biweekly treat.
Good food add reasonable prices.
Fantastic steak! Filet was amazing and my husband loved the prime rib, very tender. And he's a tough one to please, we raise our own beef and when he says it's "almost" as good as our home grown, trust me that's a BIG compliment!!
Great food and service, only issue was really loud, we were seated next to a party of about 20-30. Wasn’t very intimate dining.
Everything was very good as always. The service was good and the food was very good as well. The prices are very reasonable for what you receive
The only complaint I would have is do not get a booth or table back by the kitchen. The door there. is constantly swinging open and closed all the time with a lot of noise and light coming into the dining room area nearby which distracts from ambience.
Good food for a reasonable price. Service was outstanding.
Very good food and service. Only negative is sitting towards the back of the restaurant near the door of the kitchen. It kind of ruins it on ambience with bright light coming in and out of the dark dining room with this door opening all the time if you were sitting near there.
Always great service and food . Wonderful quiet, warm ambience and knowledgeable, professional staff.
Food was cooked perfectly and service was top notch. Very reasonably priced for the quality and proportions of food. Highly recommend!
