   We waited forever for service. We sat before many tables the received water and beverages before we were even greeted. We had to ask for our pitcher of sangria which ended up being brought out with our meal. Two meals were not correct and upon being sent back, still came back wrong. Two burgers on one plate and a salad and fries on the other. We fixed it ourselves. Would not recommend or return.

   After spending a day exploring the city we made a reservation for a pint and dessert. Drink selection was good and something for everyone. We were disappointed they were out of cheesecake but one bite of chocolate cake and we were in heaven. The fresh blueberries in the chocolate were a divine touch. We didn’t have food but the smell of the sauce of the wings was mouthwatering. Definitely would be back to try the wings. Enjoyed patio seating and people watching.

   Service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was not well prepared at all. The 3 pc chicken meal was heavily breaded and tasted like it had been recooked. The Montreal smoked meat sandwich bread was not toasted and it fell apart while eating indicating that it was old bread. For what we ordered, the price was overly expensive. Thumbs down.

   The location is perfect. If you can sit outside, that’s the best but reserving through open table only gets you a seat inside. Traditional American type pub but they were out of everything my kids wanted to order. The pricing is typical for Old Montreal.

   The server was excellent and the wait was not long. Buskers set up by the patio have their amps at full volume which meant it got very noisy there. Having said that, the guitar music is fun and lively. The food is not great. Pulled pork poutine was no longer available so my two sons had the pulled chicken and the smoked meat poutine. It was mediocre. My daughter’s fish and chips were fine. The batter was brown not golden and my fish tacos was not tasty - the battered fish pieces were over cooked and tough. Drinks were yummy if over priced. It’s in a prime location so that’s what you’re paying for. I’d go here for drinks and to

    So, we are not big on Qr codes for menus or drink lists. The menu came in hard copy but we were told the only way to get the drink list was on the Qr code. Turns out there actually was a hard copy drink menu. But instead of just offering to get it the waiter decided he would give us a tech lesson on smart phone. I resisted. He insisted. Finally he agreed to a hard scoot menu after giving us a lesson about google tracking no matter what you do. He clearly misunderstood his role in our relationship; guest/server. We tipped him well anyway but won't go back or suggest. He appeared needy of the tip. Food was a B attempt at great burgers. Overcooked. Average for a five guys.

    This pub has it all, great food, amazing craft beers and friendly staff. Our server was awesome and made our night. We felt sad having to leave to fly home, but we will be back!!

    The food was good, the service also. For a pub the drinks were very disappointing; my wife asked for a vodka martini and the little glass was barely half full and did not have much vodka. I asked for a gin and tonic; they asked which kind of gin so I chose Hendricks. Hendrix has a very distinctive taste and I didn’t taste it! They also used soda water instead of tonic. All I tasted was the soda water; no tonic no gin.

    This is a nice little pub that gave us a break from the cold Montreal night. We enjoyed the smoked beef and the fish and chips. I added poutine to my order and it was really tasty. They were limited on their IPA offerings, but I think that is more Montreal in general. The server, Dominique, was very friendly and efficient.

    Great location, staff were friendly and really easy going vibe. My burger was undercooked (pink in middle) but they fixed it. That does throw the meal off with timing, but it was OK. There with two kids and they were welcome and it’s loud enough we didn’t have to worry about disturbing others.

    In summary, it is a great place! Both the food and drink’s menu are extensive (you WILL find something to eat or drink of your liking), and the food is very well prepared. The place is cozy and the music is in that perfect level where you listen to it (and identify what is playing), but you can talk normally and the person across the table will hear you without the need to be loud (I didn’t listen to anyone from other tables). But the best was the service: the waitress was super nice and extremely efficient with all orders.

    We love pubs , so we thought we would try this place. Great, friendly service, excellent food. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, so I asked our server, and he suggested the pulled pork poutine. I have had poutine 5-6 times and have always been disappointed. I decided to try it, and I wasn’t disappointed this time. It was delicious. My wife had a feta cheese and blueberry burger. Yes. You read that right. She loved it. I would highly recommend Pub John Michaels for sure.

    It was exactly what we were looking for. A pub / sports bar atmosphere. A short menu with delicious food. I had the John Michael’s Burger! It was fresh and fun. Our server, Max, was excellent and informative. He gave us lots of room, but was friendly and attentive. This was my third birthday dinner and was a welcome change from the up-scale dining of the previous two nights. High quality, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Thank you.

    We made a reservation, showed up, were seated, given water, and then ignored. We sat for 45 minutes, at first thinking it was just busy, then people seated at the table beside us got served within 5-10 minutes. Must have just been poor communication among the staff, but no one even came to check on us so we left and went to BreWskey which was much better.
