    The service was the highlight of our date. I left a note for the waitress in my reservation and she read every word! Even sat us with a view like we requested and mentioned the fact that my gf and I missed each other because it had been months since we last met (which I wrote in the note). Service and vibe was a 10/10 great place for a date or night out w/ friends!

    Walking into the restaurant on a beautiful Friday morning is awesome. The hosts and the staff are welcoming and nice. Let me tell you, the feeling of going up the stairs & seeing the upstairs for the first time is amazing. Spacious, vibrant, a breath of fresh air, so nice & cozy! I had a solo birthday lunch today. Just myself and alone today. I was taken care by Ruby today! Ruby is nice, took my order which I got a glass of water and a Farmer’s Market Salad today. It's a great salad and hey, you can eat your veggies and get your fruits in. Gotta get some vitamins and minerals! Ruby was nice to offer me a glass of champagne. I don't drink like a lot but usually for me is a one to two times a month deal but meh, celebrating my birthday 4 days early so why not. I tried it and it has a nice smell and the champagne is good. Ruby did a great job taking care of me today! It's cool how she came to the Bay Area and I'm happy that she took care of me and to recommend a few things to do in the Bay Area like Dave and Busters, Japantown, Round1, etc. Before I was going to pay up and get the check, Ruby came with a surprise and I was like "Hm, what could it be?" I was happy to see the Creme brûlée cheesecake with strawberry, cream and how it displayed a cool message as "Happy Birthday, Steven!" So awesome and totally made my day. Also, lifted my spirits since I was personally going through a lot and sometimes ups and downs. I know life can have unexpected and expected, ups and downs but it’s okay, everyone goes through that. Nothing’s perfect and we all try to live to the fullest we can. But hey, Ruby lifted my spirits today and as well as the birthday lunch and the surprise! Awesome time today and looking forward to come back to Joey whenever I have the chance! Awesome birthday solo lunch today!
