We had a terrible evening at Joey Chinook. It’s difficult to find something good to say. We had two coeliac with us, and the waitress showed little knowledge, but less interest in helping them navigate the menu. Two people ordered the same thing one to be gluten-free and one not and when they came out, they didn’t know which was which. My one daughter ordered a steak that was expensive and it was tough and stringy and not cooked the way she ordered. There were several pieces she had to leave half chewed on her plate because she couldn’t get them down Finally, it was so loud mostly due to the bar staff that our table couldn’t have a normal conversation. It was supposed to be a birthday dinner and it was an utter fail. I categorically would not recommend this restaurant for anything.

Service was inconsistent during our visit. Things started off well, with food runners checking in, but there were a few missteps. My half-eaten plate was nearly cleared without being asked if I was done or wanted to take it home, and the same happened with my dining companion’s plate while she was still eating. We also had to ask multiple times for water refills, and our server was absent for a noticeable period. Another staff member eventually explained that our server had gotten very busy. While I understand that things can get hectic, we were left unattended for quite some time—no follow-up for dessert, coffee, or the bill. It seemed to be an off night.

Amber served us and was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly! She recommended the apple pie - it did not disappoint. We both decided we would start with desert when we returned. :)

Our server wasn’t acknowledging or engaging with us and seems like struggling with language maybe ? The water was slammed on the table, asked for separate bills which was ignored and deliberately a face made. Took 20 mins for a glass of water with ice. Drinks came after food . Not the best experience however food was top notch as always

Was a great experience, our servers Sarah & Olivia were very friendly, attentive, helpful & knowledgeable in suggestions for food & drinks, which were all very tasty & enjoyed thoroughly. We really enjoyed sitting on the top patio, it did get chilly at times, but we were able to close windows as needed as well staff turned the heaters on & off when necessary. Very nice experience overall, will definitely be returning as well as recommending to others.

JOEY'S APPETIZERS WERE VERY GOOD! THEY'VE ECONOMIZED ON THEIR 'BURGERS AND HAVE SUBSTITUTED THEIR HAND-PRESSED BURGER WITH A POOR SUBSTITUTE THEY CALL BACON & CHEESEBURGER. DISAPPOINTING. MY GUESTS WERE PLEASED WITH THEIR CHICKEN WRAPS AND TUNA BURGER.
