As always great food and service, Lobster Cobb salad and a lobster roll as usual great. . Asked upon reservation for the new second floor looking for a better water view. Seated firstly at a table which was rotating on its own, moving all the time. Asked to be moved. Better and a tad closer to a water view. 90% of tables upstairs were families , so noisy with lots of children. Wouldn’t go upstairs again. Felt very different in decor to downstairs. Not as nice.

They advertised “join us for dinner and stay for the fireworks”. Well, there was no view of the 4th of July fireworks from this location. As an out of towner, I feel like this was false advertising. My daughter says we were catfished. Being able to view the fireworks was the main reason we booked this place.

I have been to this restaurant many times. Granted, this was Fourth of July weekend in Boston, a busy weekend! However, the upstairs where we sat was a mess. There’s none of the ambience of downstairs. We each ordered a lobster roll. I had the traditional lobster roll with mayonnaise, and my niece had the hot lobster roll with butter. She did not like hers and mine was probably the worst lobster roll I’ve had in the 30 years I’ve lived here. It came out very quickly, so I feel like it was sitting there prepared ahead of time. The bartender and wait staff were very accommodating and kind. However, overall, this was not a good experience.

We recently had lunch at Joe’s Waterfront and overall enjoyed the food and setting. Everything we ordered—from the lobster roll to the salads and fresh fish—was delicious and well-prepared. The restaurant itself is beautiful and offers a great view, but it was very crowded during our visit. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Our waitress was slow and inattentive, which really impacted the experience. Had the service been even halfway decent, this could have easily been a five-star meal. Still, the food and location are worth a visit—just be prepared for possible delays if it’s a busy time.

We had a wonderful time at Joe’s Waterfront- thank you! Our server was fantastic & the food was delicious- and the location was perfect for the Harborfest fireworks! Wow!
