Joes lobster house is always consistently great. The calamari and scungilli in medium sauce is as good as it gets. Perfect everytime. We also had the lobster tails and shrimp fra diavolo which was delicious! Started with the baked clams ! The price is reasonable, the food is always consistently awesome and the service is fabulous. There is no other place like this on staten island. And by the way, Joe started this business as a restaurant seafood supply guy. He goes to the seafood market at hunt's point to get his fish so you know it's always fresh and delicious!

This was our second visit, and I ordered the same meal, which tasted completely different than the last time we went, which was about a month ago. The amount of garlic in the food rendered it almost inedible. There was minced raw garlic on top of the fish oreganata I ordered, and plenty of it in the cooked portion as well. The side dish of pasta with garlic and oil was terrible. The pasta was harder than al dente, there was so much garlic in it that is tasted terrible, with an almost burnt flavor, and too much red pepper. I like garlic, I like a little zip from red pepper, but this dish was really not good at all. We won't be going back.

Overall food was ok. Disapointed they would not accomadate a special request. (Half broiled half fried). Was told the kitchen was too busy but the resteraunt was half emtpy.

This was my first time at Joe’s Lobster House; it will be my last. The double lobster tail dinner, the shrimp and pasta, the octopus salad, the captain’s feast with fish fillet shrimp and scallops, the simple chicken fingers, the “hand made “ crab cakes all were made from frozen, were greasy, salty and far below the expected standard given the prices this restaurant charges. I was very disappointed. Seafood should be made fresh, not from frozen. If you’re a seafood fan, stay clear of Joe’s
