Such a great place and ambience, but sadly the food really is mediocre at best. Such a shame as it was good when it reopened.

Susan was a wonderful host for the wine tasting and had an eclectic fun group of guests. Wines were interesting, a little on the expensive side we thought. I’d definitely advise to eat before attending a tasting as the one slider, limited charcuterie & cheese isn’t sufficient to mop up 10 wines. Overall a lot of fun, lots to learn and we’ll be back.

Joes is a good local restaurant, good choice on the menu, lovely friendly staff, nice ambience. We went there to celebrate a friends bd and were very impressed that Joes brought out a litle dessert with a candle on it. Will definitely be back.

Hi Paul, Thanks for your feedback. We were actually really busy on Sunday, the bank holiday weekend, and had a great vibe in the restaurant. I know you were one of our first tables and you had requested a nice quiet spot in the library so hopefully you enjoyed that. Sorry you felt the pricing was not to your liking, we consider it is very competitive, in line with what is charged both up and down the road from us. The roast lamb you had, sustainably farmed organic English lamb which we source from the butcher over the road, supporting local business. Hopefully see you again soon.

Great menu loads of choice and good value. Great wine list although a couple more slightly more reasonably priced options wouldn’t go amiss Always used to be the go-to for reliable weekly visits and good food , now it’s even better than ever …. Well done team …. See you soon.

The new owners have tweaked this and that and restored it to the fabulous local Brasserie is used to be. Fabulous service and atmosphere. Perfect.
