I used to live in Santa Barbar and went to Jocko’s frequently. I thought it was the best Steak House in California. I moved away over 30 years ago. Been kind of on my bucket list to come at least one more time. Am visiting friends, so we went there last night. NOTHING HAS CHANGED. IT IS STILL THE BEST STEAK, LAMB, RIBS I HAVE EVER EATEN. MY whole party. No longer on my bucket list. Just coming every time i am within 75 miles.

Haven't been to Jocko's for years. Heard it has gone a little down hill? WRONG!!! The food was EXCELLENT! Except for the new pickle tray. Go Back to the Old Relish Tray! Service was good only 8ssue was asking for It ce Tea refill. Other than that Minor issue (not a big deal) Will be back!!!!

Steaks were very late. Over 2.5 hours at restaurant for 5:45 reservation. Steaks were all over cooked. Our waitress was nice but she could not do anything. She was frustrated. Sucked!

We had spencer steaks and they had a lot of fat and tough parts that could not be eaten. I know the fat makes the meat tender and tasty so that was fine. It just wasn't as I remembered eating before. I've been here all my life, My Dad took me to Jokos when I was 16. The best steak ever. I am now 68, and I've eaten here with Johnny Biddle many times and my own family off and on. The staff was Great but the meat was not. Sorry

The older gentleman host was very rude. Our waitress Darlene was completely inattentive. We were seated quickly with a reservation and waited 1.5 hours for the wrong steak to show up. Beans are bland. Never took our drink order. Extremely disappointing experience after wanting to visit for years. All hype, noisy as hell. F- do not recommend.

50th anniversary! We were celebrating it with my sister and her husband it was their 50th anniversary also everybody’s steak came out beautifully except for hers hers had a lot of fat and was not cooked well enough even when she sent it back it was so tough she could barely cut it but they were gracious enough and took it off of her bill! The rest of us really enjoyed our meal!

We hadn't been here in over 3 years. They have spruced it up a quite a bit. It is much cleaner inside, with newer windows and freshly painted walls. We thought our meal was delicious. We split a 16 oz Spencer and added an extra serving of all the sides. The iced tea was freshly brewed, not instant, which was also an improvement. We will definitely go back.

Jocko’s continues its slow decline into mediocrity. This used to be the best steak in central California. The food quality is on par with Sizzler. However the staff is amazing which is the real saving grace of this establishment.

Great service from Katie! 1. The pork ribs were dry 2. The halibut was dry 3. The large Filet was very good. 4. The 16 Oz Spencer was not a Spincer but a Top Sirloin. Under cooked and tough. Oh, did mention it was in fact a Top Sirloin! They did remove it from our tab.

3 of the 4 entrees were cooked well which was a bonus and we all agree the fries are great but the crackers served with the salsa were not appealing, the draft beer and coke that were flat were disappointing and I'm not sure what the claim about the beans is for because they aren't good.

Thank you Juan for excellent service yesterday! I was a solo traveler at the end of the day, so not very fruitful for most servers. However, Juan was kind and fast and understanding. The service was quick. We got our drinks and complimentary food quickly. The waiter kept our drinks full and brought the appetizer quickly. We waited a little bit but an expected amount of time for our main course but it was worth it. Great food and service. I would always recommend making a reservation if you want to shorten your wait time.

Steaks were cooked perfectly to how you want it, ours was perfectly medium rare...good value as price includes the entire meal with sides and an ice cream for dessert. You can watch the pit master cook steaks from the window, or ask if you can walk out there for a quick look. best to book a reservation as it does get crowded and a long line will form.

Our family has been going to Jocko’s for 15+ years. This visit was to celebrate my sons high school graduation. We had 6:30pm reservations and we were seated right on time (party of 2). We drove 4 hours south for this special treat! Like always we were not disappointed. I had my usual, beef ribs. Simply delicious. My son always tries something new to him, so this time the burger and he loved it. We try to come down to Jocko’s a few times a year. No better steakhouse on the West Coast!!

The food was ok for 3 of us. My husbands steak was over cooked. After sending it back it took over 30 min to get another steak it was also over cooked and the fattiest piece of meat. Plus the rest of us were finished eating. There were weak apologies.

Although I have been here a few times, the food overall is very good - especially the steaks, ribs, and grilled meats. The sirloin sandwich, although less expensive menu item, was not so great, and had tough pieces and very skimpy. Might as well leave off the menu. The waitress did a great job even though people are standing in the aisle talking to friends when she needed to be serving food. I do believe the prices are good as most people can share the entrees.

The ribeyes are perfection. Dip that garlic bread on their famous beans and you’ll not regret it. Our server on the other hand really seemed like he didn’t want to be there and seemed irritated to serve us. We totally would have ordered another round of drinks if he didn’t seem bothered by us.
