   Lunch special for $20 is a fabulous deal & so onolicious. Chicken rice bowl, thin noodles ramen & deep fried chicken with tossed greens. Can't wait to go again!

   Food was good but service was horrible. They didn’t bring us the water we asked for. They brought our food out but not at the same time. They forgot one of our orders so I had to ask for it when pretty much the rest of the table was almost done with their food. Then they brought us food that we did not order. It didn’t seem like they were organized.

   This was my 2nd time in a week at Jinya, and I have to say my experience last night was far better than the first. The host who greeted us was very friendly and our server, Jacob and he was very attentive, patient and friendly. The good came out timely and everything was delicious. There are so many times when we try a new ramen place, and it doesn’t live up its hype. Junta’s broth —-hits the spot! The yuzu shio had real yuzu flavor, the Tonkotsu broth was beautiful and carried its weight with the flavors. The gyozas were full of pork flavor which I prefer instead of tasting ginger/vegetables. We were impressed with the kids meal the most! It contained a bowl of butter ramen, fried chicken, French fries, a bowl of rice topped with minced meat and woodear mushrooms. Oh my son reminded me that it also came with a lollipop! For a restaurant in Hawaii…you can go wrong for a kids meal that size for less than $9!!! For a party of 7, appetizers, ramen. drinks and sale for just about $200..this was not bad pricing at all!! We will definitely be back and I hope we have Jacob as our server again!

    The place was clean, there were about only four tables taken when we arrived. The server and food runner were very pleasant. The decor was nice, not too much to change since it was already Nice from taken over the Space from the original restaurant to the space Nobu. I didn’t mind the servers wearing the black athletic tees and jeans but didn’t care to see the one who chose to wear the lumberjack platted long opened up shirt,,, made him look out of place, very messy… I know they probably wanted to make this part of the restaurant more relaxed but u can do that with out allowing the servers to dress like they’er at a frat-house local bar. I mean, you are in multi million Dollar building with $18 bowls of Ramen minimum. By the way, worth the money ;) I will be back, I would recommend it. The one thing i would addressed before opening up in this large, long railroad space, would have been the same problem they’ve always had in the space before them,,, the one bathroom all the way on one side of the restaurant and the one bar on the opposite side..

    The establishment has been open for 8 months and still feels new. The deco is interesting and "trendy." The location is in a very convenient place with lots of foot traffic as it is across the street from a movie theatre and entertainment center. The food is between fair and good for what it is. I look forward to see its growth in the next 6 months.

    It's my new fav ramen spot. I ordered spicy bean sprouts as an extra topping and it was a fantastic addition. There were plenty vegan options which I'm always impressed by. Cocktails weren't anything special. I am curious to try the mocktails next time though.

    The three appetizers we had were fine and our ramen (tonkotsu black x3 and a shio yuzu) was good, though not served piping hot as we expected. It took about an hour for our party of four to get our ramen. And they never brought out one of our appetizers, even though I reminded them at least twice. (It was taken off our bill.) So the service was not good, which our server did acknowledge and apologized for several times. Could be a training issue or perhaps a team management issue? —None of the servers looked happy, rather they looked unhappy or at least stressed, and it didn’t seem like anyone was trying to help each other out to make service better. I don’t think we were the only party with subpar service. Our server may have been a hostess filling in? She was well aware of coverage issues but may not be empowered to do anything about it. Maybe will only do take out next time. Maybe… could be a cool place but they need to fix these services issues to motivate people to return here during inflation/higher prices.     Lovely restaurant, but a bit too dark to even read a menu. Sushi was good, but as soon as it got a little busy, our order was forgotten about. Had to ask 3 x for our crispy rice with tuna, then was finally delivered cold and old.

    So we have been going tho this restaurant plus LBD AND robata since they opened since we live across the street and we have noticed the quality going down hill lately with two bad experiences and last night being number three will be our last time I ordered a glass of wine it took three people and over 20 mins to get it I already almost had half my ramen down when my wine came instead of them comping my wine which is what most places go they charged me $17 for a glass of wine so I think we will pass and go to other ramen and Japanese restaurants from now on I’m super sad because this is so close to us as we live in the building with Whole Foods in it

    The world food traveler duo and the long-time friend of the feminine half, went to Ward Theater TITAN LUXE to see the “BTS ‘Yet to Come’ in Busan”, a movie of the concert in Busan, Korea, that took place on October 15, 2022. Gee, the theater was almost empty … Perhaps 20 patrons at the 3:30pm showing. After the show, we walked across the street to try JINYA Ramen. The world food travelers dined at Robata JINYA in October and found the food to be very good but the service wanting. We started with a Lemonade, Matcha Match and supposedly a Roku gin & tonic. My partner loved her Matcha Match, comprised of Roku gin, wild elderflower, coco real, lemon juice and matcha powder. My gin & tonic wasn’t quite right … I found out later that our server gave me a Gray Whale gin & tonic. Ahem ... We started with the Brussels Sprouts Tempura, Caramelized Cauliflower and the Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna. All three appetizers came out quickly and before we could take a few bites, our ramen arrived. We ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu Black, Wonton Chicken Ramen and the Miso Garlic Tan Tan. Like our previous visit to Robata JINYA, the pace of food arriving at our table was not what we wanted. Whomever is placing the orders in the kitchen needs to understand that patrons need time to finish a course before wanting the next course. Ramen should be eaten immediately, otherwise the broth cools too much and the noodles lose their texture. By the time I got to my ramen, it had cooled too much. Service was so-so and, for the second time, we felt rushed. I don’t know if that’s their strategy, but if so, we won’t be dining at either venue in the future. We like the food; we just don’t care for the service. Call me disappointed for the second (and likely last) time.

    Service is the biggest detractor. The front and back of the house needs to get their act together. The whole experience was frantic with nothing but staff apologizing to patrons but doing nothing to proactively get order deliveries in sequence and on time. This place stakes it’s reputation in being trendy but the service and lack luster food doesn’t beg a return visit, just not worth another poor service experience. If you are going to be “trendy” and attract that kind of crowd then be able to handle a Friday-Saturday evening as a baseline without the feeling that the C-team was on shift.     The worst restaurant I have been to and I normally don’t leave reviews. 1 and a half hour wait for a bowl of ramen! Servers didn’t check up on the table and there was only 5 tables. 2-3 parties left but I waited it out anyway. The ramen is alright the decor is a 10/10 , it is just a shame that their is no type of management. Also our server didn’t have his work uniform on…

    Gyoza and fried chicken were so tasty! We order different ramen but both of our ramen noodles was not cooked enough (still raw) and soup was only a little bit… wish we had good ramen.
