From the OpenTable editors: In a brick cottage with blue shutters in the French Quarter, you’ll find one of the best bars in the world, a James Beard Award winner ranked on the World’s 50 Best Bars. Beloved local bartender Chris Hannah shakes innovative cocktails like a curried banana colada or bologna negroni (say it out loud) starring mortadella-infused Campari. It’s worth staying for dinner, to sample half a dozen different types of caviar and unusual cuts like wagyu tongue and duck neck sausage.

Intimate space with low, but adequate, lighting. Noise was minimal so we could actually have a nice conversation. Service was attentive but not invasive, very knowledgeable about both the food and cocktail menus. Food was very good. The hamachi tartare is fantastic. And the stuffed duck neck is a must. Cocktails are balanced and interesting. For one large plate, three small plates, caviar, and four cocktails, the bill was entirely reasonable.

One of the best dinners I have had since I moved back to New Orleans. From the minute we were sat, Hannah was on top of her game and was an amazing server. She was able to answer our questions about the menu knowledgeably and had wonderful suggestions as well. The heirloom tomatoes were amazing and make me impatient for the tomatoes in my garden to hurry the heck up and produce fruit so I can make it at home! Both hamachi and beef tartar were wonderful. The fried tripe on top of the beef was a fantastic addition. The squid ink raviolo was amazing and the rabbit was one of the best rabbit dishes I have had in a long time. Will definitely be going back. Not waiting for a special occasion just to make a return visit.

Absolutely lovely evening. Cocktails were delicious and the food was spot on. Only thing that kept it from five stars was the beef carpaccio just wasn’t the best - good, but not great. The shrimp and focaccia were phenomenal though as was the heirloom tomato salad!

Didn’t know what much of the menu even was but trusted the kitchen to deliver and they sure did! Everything top notch from cocktails to food to service. You won’t be sorry if you are a somewhat adventurous eater.
