Jerk at Nite, founded by Denville Myrie, Jr. in 2012, began as a solution to the lack of late-night food options at Howard University. After seeing his peers struggle with unhealthy fast food, Denville, raised in a Jamaican household, started delivering flavorful jerk chicken and other Jamaican dishes from his dorm. What began as a small campus venture evolved into a food truck business in 2015, and later, a brick-and-mortar restaurant. The menu features healthy fusion dishes, such as jerk chicken, oxtail, and jamming’ salmon, free of MSG and preservatives. Now with multiple locations, including in D.C. and Baltimore, Jerk at Nite continues to grow and serves the community with a focus on quality and flavor.

Decor was lovely service was stellar. I cannot wait until they add drinks to the menu and have more dessert options.

I loved loved loved everything about my experience. The host, waitress, & chef were all so kind. The food was absolutely delicious. We had the snapper, rasta pasta, beef patties, and mac and cheese. I took the Jerk box to go, and it was amazing!! 10/10 would recommend and I will be going back really soon!

I was extremely satisfied with our dining experience last night. The food was great, service was stellar, and experience memorable. I just finished eating the leftovers from my dinner last night and it was just as good as the first time. And I must say the price for the great dining experience was reasonable so I will definitely be returning and referring others. I look forward to the expansion of the Baltimore location as they grow.

Thoroughly enjoyed my dinner there. Food was amazing. Ambiance was amazing. They didnt have liquor the nite i was there, so that was disappointing. However, they said it was BYOB since they didnt have liquor, so that was cool.

I had a reservation on 3/5 for myself and some colleagues and I called to see if I could change my reservation from eat in to take out but no one answered. I realized I probably called too early because it was just a little before 12pm and the website said they opened at noon, so I called back around 12:15 and still no answer. I decided to walk over to the restaurant just in case it was a situation where they couldn't answer the phone due to being busy but when I got there, it was closed. There was a sticker on the window from UPS that said "sorry we missed you" and an uber eats guy showed up asking if we knew when they'd be opened. So this rating is not food related because I have heard the food is good but I never got to try it because they were a no call, no show.

I celebrate my birthday there last Saturday. Which consists a party of 8 people. Everybody enjoy their food.. The food was very hot and had a nice flavor. The waitress was very professional and good music. I highly recommend the spot.

The BEST jerk ever! The food was well seasoned, fresh, and a great presentation. I was not disappointed with the quality and quantity of food. Everyone in our party enjoyed their dish from the mouth watering oxtails, flavorful rasta pasta, perfectly prepared salmon, and the jerk chicken was off the charts with flavor. We enjoyed the patties and the coco bread. We will be back!!! I highly recommend for foodies that enjoy Jamaican cuisine.
