Had a fantastic time again for dinner. Took some friends who hadn't had the best experience their first time, and they loved it. The food was amazing and the service was even better. Can't wait to go again!
Amazing experience. One of the best steaks I have ever had. Everything about the experience was top notch.
Amazing experience! Our server Venessa did a fantastic job! I would recommend this place to anyone for any occasion.
Celebrating my birthday with my husband! Delicious meal! Wonderful service! But, first, we were seated in the bar next to a large 6 person table that was quite loud.. We asked to move to main dining room explaining we were looking for something a bit more intimate which we were happy to wait for. Hostess graciously sat us at a booth near the kitchen which was very nice....except there was a group of 4 women that were also very loud laughing out loud next to us. Thankfully they left by the time we were finished with our appetizers. But, staff quickly pushed tables together to seat a party of 9! Not what we expected for sure on our fist visit to Jeffreys! We will try it again but feel they need to try to space out large parties to create a nicer experience for the desired intimate settings.
Excellent. Couldn’t have asked for a better meal. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend
We enjoyed our Anniversary Dinner! Love the food and the service! Its a good place for special occasion!
Our server was lovely and gave amazing recommendations for what to try for tonight’s dinner :)
You can go wrong with Jeffrey's. We've celebrated two birthdays there and both experiences were phenomenal. The food, service and ambience are unmatched while dining in Austin.
Birthday event. Service and food was exceptional. This is a 4 star quality restaurant that will treat you as such. Wonderful time and will be back.
We really enjoyed our dining experience at Jeffrey’s. We were safely spaced out in the bar area. The servers were very attentive and made great wine and food recommendations. The steak was cooked to perfection, and the appetizers were delicious.
The service was very good! Food was delicious. Music was a little loud but they they adjusted. Very friendly.
Parking without valet a little challenge. But for covid. Allow time to park.
Lovely evening spent on their outside dining area. Service and aesthetics is what it’s all about at Jeffrey’s. Both are impeccable.
The food is classic swell American nostalgia fare: hamburger, sole, devilled eggs... and caviar. It’s well executed mostly but it’s not trying to surprise you.
It’s a delight if you’re in that kind of mood.
We went in recently for my husband's birthday dinner and were so pumped up going in - and Jeffreys delivered. The space is gorgeous, very glamorous high-end ambiance without being pretentious. The service was five stars, reminded me of fine dining in NYC. They didn't miss a beat. Incredible wine offering, even by the glass. Foodwise, its all worth the price tag. We had the Tarts of Steak Tartare hors d'oeuvres to start, which were absolutely delicious (I could eat a whole platter of these and die happy). We also had the Hamachi Carpaccio and Delicata Squash Tortellini to share first - skip the hamachi, but definitelyindulge in the tortellini. For the main, my husband and I shared the 26oz Bone-in Ribeye - which was cooked to perfection - and the Shellfish & Butternut Squash Risotto and Yukon Gold pommes puree to share. Yes, the steak was delicious, but the risotto was the real star. Absolutely perfection! Somehow we managed to squeeze in dessert and indulged in the Sticky Toffee Pudding - yum! They also brought a mini sundae with a candle for my husband since it was his birthday.
Always a pleasure and always a great experience, from the service, atmosphere, wine selection and food itself, Jeffrey's is tops of the list for a consistent and enjoyable fine dining experience in Austin.
The chocolate mouse was out of this world. The duck was very good but I’ve had better at less expensive restaurants. I will go back to try something different. My guest had the risotto which was very good.
Outstanding meal. 5 star service
Food was delish, especially the Caesar salad. Wait staff very knowledgeable and attentive
The service was surprisingly slow. The waiter was not so attentive and it took me to stand and ask to order wine. Our dinner was delicious and the ambiance was great. It was an anniversary dinner with my husband and three adult children.
Jeffrey’s Restaurant was 5 star in every way! My date and I had the Gramercy and Freemark Abbey cabernet, Russian caviar, fried oysters, filet, pork chop, and sides to share. Best food, service, and ambiance in town. We loved everything and can't wait to return. Colin was an exceptional server and took great care of us for our first time at Jeffrey’s for date night. Thank you!
While we enjoyed the food and our time there, we didn't really get impressed by any unique selection of the cuts of meat or specialized plate. The thickness of the ribeye wasn't eye catching and the wagyu steak were over priced (fit for kobe beef, but not for wagyu). For what we spent, we received an overpriced but typical chain steakhouse meal.
Probably won't go back.
Incredible food, vibrant decor and top notch service. What more can you ask for?
The best steak house in Austin, HANDS DOWN. Great service compliments the amazing food and extensive wine selection.
We are from Chicago and always try to fit in a trip to Jeffrey’s when on Austin
Exceptional food, attention to detail and service!
Our wait staff Tony and Alexa were outstanding!
We love half price bottled wine night... we were able to enjoy a beautiful Sassacia!
Thank you for all that you do!!!
Best deviled eggs ever (among other things...)
For the expense of the meal the food quality was average. The steak was a beautiful cut of meat but lacked flavor you would expect from a $130 steak. If I went again it would be for dessert and drinks which happened to be superb. The service was exemplary, kudos to the hard working staff.
I called about 10 times to get champagne on ice on the table before we got there, no one ever picked up the phone or returned my voicemail and when we got to dinner which was very expensive there was no champagne on the table
We were so looking forward to this meal. Food was very good but service was about off. Took us 20 minutes to even place our drink orders. I liked the menu a lot but not sure it’s a must return for me.
Jeffrey's is as wonderful as ever. Thanks for a terrific meal
Jeffrey's is generally very good. The service is always impeccable. I don't really understand why they ask for your whole order upfront now, (presumably a Covid thing), when they still have to come to the table just as many times for drink reorders, water refills and various course deliveries. We probably had 15 visits to our table by all manner of people so that one extra visit to take our entrée order isn't really going to add any protections to anyone. Other than that it was great.
Awesome! Great service, great food and great ambiance.
Dinner with my boyfriend
Jeffrey's service and environment is timeless and classic. My dining companion and I drove from Houston to Austin specifically for one night to dine in the restaurant. Although this was my first time visiting, the feeling of familiarity and warmth felt like I was revisiting a childhood home. From the start, the tartlet of beef tartare was absolutely outstanding and one of my top bites of 2020. The dish is composed perfectly, delivering all of the satisfaction of a classic tartare with texture and zeal, but with the satisfaction of crunch and an appropriate sized portion. The Kaluga caviar service was spectacular, even though I couldn't help teach my dining companion the importance of "caviar bumps" in the time of COVID... All of the accoutrements were perfectly sized and equally delicious. All of this should be of no surprise from this restaurant, but what I was most impressed with was how "normal" everything felt. The dining room felt alive, the tables, although distanced, didn't make us feel isolated, but instead felt intimate. The use of "buffer" tables to display decanters and our wine actually made the table feel more exclusive and special to have a "service station" dedicated to just us. The staff was wonderful and talented- not too present and never not around if/when we needed them. All in all, Jeffrey's was a fantastic surprise for 2020 and I would recommend traveling to dine at this restaurant.
This restaurant was amazing! The sommelier knew everything, and each meal was incredible. We were even given champagne as soon as we arrived to celebrate our one year anniversary. Popcorn at the table was precious, and the steak melted in my mouth. I cannot wait to go back again some day!
Amazing environment and service. Memorable dishes at reasonable prices for the incredible quality.
Always great, thanks for having us!
Best dinner experience I have had in Austin by far. Highly recommend.
Great little “house” style restaurant for a date night or smaller group. A staple for Austin and you may even see a celebrity or two when you visit. All apps are amazing!
We chose Jeffrey’s for our wedding celebration (delayed by 8 weeks).
Everything was beyond delicious and our Server/Sommelier, Tony was exceptional.
Incredible wine selection too!
Wonderful food! Lucas was amazing. Great celebratory place! Does not disappoint.
Parking can be a challenge as it is located in a residential neighborhood.
