Jeffrey's Restaurant ha sido una institución local para la gastronomía elegante en Austin desde 1975. Tras cerrar sus puertas en el 2012 para emprender importantes trabajos de renovación, ha abierto nuevamente bajo la dirección de McGuire Moorman Hospitality, el principal grupo de restaurantes en Austin. El restaurante está ubicado en una zona tranquila al oeste del centro de la ciudad y cuenta con un animado bar, tres diferentes salones comedor y menús que ofrecen filetes de primera calidad añejados en seco, renovada gastronomía elegante y clásica, así como productos frescos de proveedores locales. El comensal encontrará además mesas en salones privados, valet parking de cortesía y servicio local de transporte. Josephine House ofrece almuerzo, brunch, Happy Hour y cena, además de filete de res con papas fritas los lunes por la noche. La cabaña en Clarksville ofrece una pequeña barra de mármol con café o cocteles, mesas íntimas en el salón comedor, rincones menos iluminados en el patio así como un área con césped al frente para pasar el rato. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Jeffrey's and it was everything we remembered. We enjoyed champagne and couple of cocktails (great Mexican martini!) and truffle deviled eggs to start; all were great. I had a Caesar salad, which was tasty and good portion (shareable for sure). For our entrées, my wife ordered the black angus tenderloin and I ordered the wagyu ribeye. We eat a fair amount of steak, but I can honestly say my ribeye was one of the tastiest steaks I've ever eaten. The smoky flavor was captured in every bite and the medium rare plus brought the marbling to a perfect level. My wife said her filet was great as well; I didn't have room to sample. We enjoyed the Brussel spouts and whipped potatoes as shared sides. Portions were just right for sharing. For dessert, we had the chocolate soufflé and the strawberry basil pavlova and each was great in it own way....proof was in the empty plates. Our captain (server) was Harold and he was very attentive while not feeling bothersome...a rare feat. The last "cherry on top" was the bill...this wonderful meal was 50% of what I expected to pay and the same as we pay for much less at time. The value coupled with the level of quality moved this to five star review. We are already looking forward to our next visit and highly recommend for anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Porterhouse came out Very Rare, and wasn’t edible. Staff provided a discount and the service was great, but was sad as we were expecting Jeffrey’s to be the best meal of our trip; and it ended up being the least exciting

We’ve been to Jeffrey’s before, and returned to celebrate our anniversary. It’s my favorite restaurant in Austin. It’s the one, perhaps only, restaurant that does everything perfectly, and always exceeds our expectations. Like the valet who opens the door and walks my wife to the door with an umbrella, the quiet, homelike fine dining experience, friendly wait staff who literally wait on us throughout our dinner experience, to the excellent and tasty food. It’s worth every penny and we appreciate their attention to details. It’s a rare dining experience in Austin.
