Attentive service, excellent food
We had the most amazing anniversary dinner here. The food and service was incredible and we will definitely be going back every year to celebrate. Cannot recommend this place highly enough!
Very disappointed. Very expensive. 10 years anniversary celebration was awful. Couples on either side had cards and there was no mention of our reason for being there. Poor service on top of it all. Will not be back.
I treated my boyfriend to dinner here and he can be a tough judge when it comes to steak but he was in heaven!
We started with the foie gras sandies and it was melt in your mouth good. We then got the chestnut tortellini which I highly recommend. Then my boyfriend got the 14oz ribeye (not the wagyu, he doesn’t make that kind of money), he said it was cooked perfectly rare and was like butta. I got the snapper which was good, but I think I would get something else next time. For sides we did the broccolini and french fries but it was hard to finish everything, we were so full!
The chocolate intemperance was a must have dessert if you love chocolate. Would definitely get again.
A few of the free highlights that come with the meal are popovers (I could eat these every day!), popcorn, and dessert. So plan ahead for these delicious freebies!
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to around the world. On par with London's Le Gavroche and French Horn etc. The food was outstanding and the service impeccable.
The service staff were phenomenal! Very attentive to when we needed service, and to when we needed time to ourselves. They were incredibly generous to us in celebrating a birthday and it was so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
A beautiful place for American fare. The steak (all of them) are divine and the wine list is unparalleled.
Very delicious and pleasant
Just about the best we hoped for. Dinner with our children whom we were visiting for the weekend. Wine list and choices made were superb. The sommelier was fantastic!
Simply a fine gem of a restaurant. Jeffrey's gets everything right, decor and ambience, martini cart, every course divine. I especially enjoyed my Niman Ranch Petite Filet topped with slice of Roquefort cheese. And the service is top notch.
We had dinner with friends and Jeffrey’s was amazing as usual! We had avocado toast, fried oysters, ribeyes, potato purée, and Brussels sprouts which were all fabulous. We tried the cream spinach this time and it was a little dry (not very creamy) so I would not get that again. Other than that meal was perfect! One of our favorite places for a special meal!
I had been told this was the best steakhouse in Austin by multiple acquaintances and friends so we decided to try it for ourselves. The Service was top notch, attentive without being too much, and the team at Jeffrey's really took care of us. The Truffled Deviled Eggs were outstanding as were the Pop-overs brought to the table! However several of the staple items we order at other steakhouses, like the Lobster Bisque and the Steaks themselves (cooked the same way for comparison sake from other places) were not up to par as compared to our other 3 restaurants visited for steaks in town. I expected significantly higher quality meat and taste, especially considering the price compared to other steakhouses we have been to multiple times in the city, as I ordered the Porterhouse to share since this is typically the best cut in steakhouses that offer it in my traveling experience -for this price this thing should have pulled off the bone with ease and melted in our mouths, yet sadly it was only 'ok'. My wife's NY strip was much better than the Porterhouse and more than half the price, yet still too much for the taste and experience. I was wishing I'd gone with the Pork Chop as the Server said it was his under-rated winner of the menu for taste.
Always a lovely evening at Jeffreys. Fireplaces were going. Reservation was in order. Quality of food and choice superb. But service was a little. slow. Also sitting in a small hallway was not preferred to one of the main Dining areas.
Superb food and service. Great atmosphere both in the bar and dining area.
Great service and wine advice
We are from chicago and always try to visit Jeffreys when in town
The quality of all your food is exceptional’
Service is excellent and what a great value on Sunday night with half price wine by the bottle
Our favorite spot in Austin for fine dining!
We came for our anniversary. The staff was so sweet and very helpful in describing dishes. Even gave us a side on the house since we were indecisive. Can’t rave enough about how delicious and perfectly flavorful the dishes are here. Will be going back as much as possible when in the area.
Best dining experience we’ve had at Jeffrey’s
Jeffrey’s was absolutely excellent as always. Best deviled eggs in Austin and the bone-in New York strip was super tender. Made my birthday dinner absolutely unforgettable.
There couldn’t possibly be a better dining experience anywhere. Outstanding from every standpoint. A wonderful treat.
Wagu rib eye steak was fantastic. Plenty to split for 2 people . Wine lost is amazing but ask server for help to get better value . Really nice place for special dinner .
The atmosphere and service are great. We have been going there for 20 years and have always had delicious food and great service. The only negative I have is that it is always packed so after you check in you go to the bar to get your drinks. My husband went up and placed his order and the waitress there told him “go stand in the corner and stay out of the way of the waiters”, he’s 62 years old, a little more respect would have been nice, maybe something like Sir, we will have your drink out to you ASAP, but would you mind waiting over there and we will get it right out to you? Thank you so much. There is a way to say anything, the way my husband was spoken to was not the right way. We will be back and love the restaurant, this was just one person in 2 years. Great place to go!
Truly undesirable. Would strongly discourage.
We went for my husband’s birthday and the service and quality of the food was exquisite. We made a pact that we need to make sure to go there at least once a year.
Wonderful. Will go back
Wonderful place for special occasion or just to have a fabulous and memorable meal. Highly recommend
Such a wonderful dining experience. Our first time and we will definitely be back. The food was impeccable and beautiful. The service was fantastic and the romantic ambience really set the mood for the evening. Highly recommend!
Vanessa and the entire Jeffrey’s experience was amazing!! Service and food were excellent as always!!!
Thank you so much!!
I proposed, she said yes! Jeffrey’s will always be a special place for us.
Everything was perfect
Celebrated our 13 year anniversary of partnership. Me & my wife enjoyed every moment of our evening at Jeffrey’s. It was our first time eating there and the service was extremely exceptional. Cozy, well lit atmosphere. Host was very knowledgeable & helped us pair our entrees with the right whine.
Cadre chic, service professionnel, plats corrects mais pas a la hauteur des prix excessifs !!!
We had a table of 6 or 8 very loud young women next to us who were celebrating with lots of drinking. We did not complain and were pleasantly surprised when our server gave us two fabulous appetizers from the chef for our tolerance of our neighboring table. Very Classy!
Super fresh salad, attentive and informative service from Tony, tasty cocktails and wine, large portion main courses, delicious souffle. Overall an enjoyble dinner.
Have been visiting Austin for many years, but had never made it to Jeffrey’s. It was everything I had heard & more. A perfect dining experience.
Overrated and poorly managed restaurant.
My girlfriend and I came in to celebrate a special occasion and from the minute we sat down until the moment we left, we felt like royalty. Our server Skylar took time to answer our questions, and even brought us some surprises from the kitchen to make our experience even more special. Highlights included the hamachi carpaccio and the shellfish risotto. Also, we can’t thank management enough for taking care of us fellow service industry peers. It was a very pleasant surprise!
