Javier's Irvine Spectrum serves original Mexican cuisine. Opened in 2004 and located close to the 405 and 5 freeways, the restaurant offers numerous entrees and combo meals. Javier's Irvine Spectrum selects and serves only the freshest ingredients, including sustainable and in-season seafood, natural chicken and center-cut #1 prime Angus beef. Every dish is prepared fresh to order, and guests may sit in the spacious main dining room, on the intimate patio, at the bar or in a private dining area.The dining room is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday until 11:00 p.m. Javier's Irvine Spectrum's full bar is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Reservations are accepted.

The time to be seated was too long for someone who already made a reservation two weeks ago. My eighty year old mother was forced to stand for 30-minutes waiting fot our entire party to arrive. This is completely unacceptable and very poor restaurant customer service. The Habana restaurant would not have treated us this way.

This is a great restaurant. The food and service are outstanding. It is one of the best venues in the area for Mexican cuisine.

Food is good but value is a little on the low end. Two tiny tacos for $30 is a little high. Overall, pricing for all items is out of line with other high end Mexican restaurants for same quality. I don’t know if it was because it was Fathers Day that prices were higher but maybe they should think of adjustments to be commensurate with quality and for the size of servings.

Javier’s is always a nice place for lunch- unfortunately Father’s Day was extremely overcrowded- we had our reservations for well over a month and still ended up being seated 20 minutes late and in a makeshift table thrown together in the middle of a crowded pathway

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at Javier’s. My husband and I went for our anniversary and I ordered the steak picada. The steak was cooked wrong at first so I sent it back. The steak was then cooked right but had no flavor. Ordered a salad as well and all dressing I tried were either too salty or not flavorful - did not taste good. The waitress was less than enthused to do anything. We paid and left. I’m happy paying these prices for good food but this was a total let down. Between the food and the waitresses character it was 2/10 dinner.

Every time we come to Laguna we come to Javier's. It's always great food and great drinks. This location was a bit loud but nonetheless we enjoyed it. The shrimp tacos were fabulous as were the carnitas!

It was our first visit to Javier’s. Such a great time. The food and desserts were delicious and our waiter Arturo was the best!
