   Phenomenal food, as always. In all of Las Vegas, Japaneiro continues to be my favorite spot.

   Japaneiro is becoming my family’s favorite place for its nicely prepared dishes on chef’s tasting, great chef and friendly staff.

   Very small restaurant with individual service. Amazing and different tapa type dishes and a few main course dinners. Loved it with friends visiting from out of town

   Sadly, we were not able to eat at this restaurant. We arrived for our reservation and outside the restaurant was the strong smell of sewage. When we walked inside Japaniero the stench was even stronger. It was gag-inducing, so we had to leave. We thought it was a one time issue so were going to come back, but after looking at reviews on Yelp I saw that the previous week another diner experienced the same thing, so apparently this is ongoing. Whatever is wrong needs to be resolved. The menu looked fairly good, but you just can't eat under those conditions.

   We had the Chef’s Tasting menu for $150 for two people that featured seven courses: scallop sashimi topped with uni and salmon roe; salmon ceviche; oysters; escargot; grilled Argentinian shrimp; bone marrow with foiegras and beef filet medallions; matcha ice cream and tiramisu. Each dish was delicious, rich and exciting. The bone marrow dish was the most decadent. Th only thing I’d deduct a point for is how frequent truffle oil makes its appearance. While I do love truffle oil, after a while it gets repetitive.

   Hidden gem. Great spot if you are looking for high end food and great service. This place is definitely going to be my go to spot for special occasions.

    Oh my goodness ... talk about hidden treasure. This place was heaven, it was amazing, it was the best random find for a date night. My boyfriend said he was feeling Asian food and I said I'd find the dinner spot. This place was less than a mile from my house and I can't believe I had never been. First, we got the truffle edamame and it was as delicious as it sounds (I ended up getting a second order) and my boyfriend got the octopus. The joy on his face told me that I had made a good choice. For dinner I had the filet which came with truffle oil and the salt I dipped it made the filet drool worthy. I had a side of steamed rice. My boyfriend enjoyed the land and sea (he had filet with scallops) and shrimp fried rice. The joy on his face told me this was a new date night spot for us. We finished our night with the cheesecake which was the surprise of the evening. We didn't see a truly delectable dessert coming our way and we had to split it because we both wanted to devour it. We look forward to returning and Kevin, thank you for your wonderful service and for guiding us in the right direction.
