We were the only table present. Service was inattentive and sporadic. The room was flooded with sunlight with no shades or curtains to shade the space. The carbonara was eggy and not as creamy as it should be. The pizza was good, but overly greasy.

Very clean and quiet spot, though we were there at an 'off' time (4pm) due to our 6:30pm show at the Pantages. I suspect it is not usually this quiet. We were pleased with the quality of the service and food. The menu is not extensive but offered a nice selection that met our needs. We shared the heirloom tomato salad and Cacio e Pepe pizza. Both were delicious! The service staff was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient (not overbearing).

The food is okay but I think it's too expensive. Service was great.

We have dined at this place serveral times over the past7 few years. But since the pandemic, it really has, sadly, gone way downhill. The chefs are doing a good job, but the wait on a weekday night to get a pair of salads took a half an hour. The offer a pared down menu from what was offered last time we were in. The watermelon salad with arugula was misnamed. With 8 small cubes of watermelon and an enormous amount of arugula a more accurate description would be Arugula salad with watermelon.. The Green Goddess caesar did not have green goddess dressing on it--it was a caesar salad with caesar dressing. We were seated near the kitchen pass and watched hot entrees sit in the pass for 5-10 minutes, as wait staff walked by, saw them there, and made no effort to get them to the table. In the hour and a half we were there nobody came by to see how our food was. The restaurant was not packed, but it was busy. But folks literally had to flag down the wait staff for refills, to order wine, to inquire about the status of their orders. They offer ONE dessert option and on the night we were there, they did not have it--strawberry shortcake. And this is during strawberry season! They are planning on "repurposing" the restaurant and closing it for dinner and moving all dining upstairs. Then the site of Jane q will be for breakfast and lunch. But they need to better train their waitstaff to check in on customers, expedite prepared food to the tables, refill water and coffee without being flagged down to do so. And management needs to be more active in helping out...not standing in the bar area gabbing and making sure that the customers, not the personal conversations of the waitresses is prioritized. We probably will not return again. Very disappointing.

Dined before a show at the Pantages. Portions were perfect for a pre-show meal and it was nice to be just a block away but not in all the crazy bustle of Hollywood Blvd.

You think when you order a "tomato & burrata salad" it would come with burrata. Well you would be wrong at this restaurant. It was a plate of tomatoes with 3 of the tiniest scoops of cheese I've ever seen. There were 5 of us and not enough cheese for everyone to have a bite. It was seriously laughable. Don't put "burrata" in the title of the dish if you plan on just serving a plate of poorly dressed tomatoes. We also ordered two pastas that had ZERO flavor. Between the 5 of us we didn't even finish it because it was so unpleasant. The only decent thing we had was the margarita pizza, but it was just "fine" and could not save our awful dining experience. I was super excited to try Jane Q, but unfortunately my party and I all left extremely disappointed.

It’s just in the Kimpton Everly and a cute little restaurant with pretty good food. Nothing over the top but it was enjoyable!
