    My wife and I haven't dined at Jaleo in years. We love Jose Andreas but Zaytinya is her favorite restaurant so we go there most of the time (we live in Baltimore now). But Jaleo did not disappoint. As usual, excellent food and excellent service. Our table wasn't the best (high traffic area) but everything else was. My wife's 1st language is Spanish and I think it was our waiter's as well. He switched back and forth smoothly which added to her comfort level. Delicious seafood paella and an amazing salmon dish. The watermelon dish was a wonderful surprise. All in all, a typical Jose Andreas experience: great!

    This is probably our favorite restaurant in DC. We try to visit an art gallery or museum every Friday and Jaleo is our Gallery Place start off point. Jaleo’s offers reliably interesting, good food, good service and is not too outrageously high priced. And José Andrés is a humanitarian hero too.

    There's nothing bad to say about Jaleo. The food is absolutely the star of the show, every bite more delicious than the last, but the service is also spectacular, attentive and helpful without being intrusive. It's a little on the loud side for a quiet dinner with my parents, but I think that's true pretty much everywhere. Jaleo is my go-to for celebration meals, and having the chance to support Jose' Andres is a nice bonus.

    We went to Jaleo for a reunion dinner with friends that hadn’t seen each other for a long time. The food was outstanding, and it made our time together more memorable to be able to share the dishes with each other. The service was excellent. We will definitely come back!

    I ordered the wrong thing - I thought I was ordering something else. My watermelon salad was delusion but the other dish - no so much. I have usually loved Jaleo's food. They used to have wonderful bread but now they have a very ordinary/unremarkable bread. I have read of these cutbacks by the restaurant.
