Jalapeno Inferno - Park West
Terrible service, terrible lighting, terrible food, terrible drinks, and terrible atmosphere. Everyone walks around like they don’t know what they’re doing and that they don’t know how to talk to people. Cheap food priced really high. Took us 40 mins to get our first round of drinks. I will say the manager was nice and check on us a few times and our waiter was nice at the end of the night but it felt like she was just fishing for a tip. Do yourself a favor and just go to an Applebee’s or Chili’s, skip this place.
AWESOME experience and AMAZING SERVICE. They made heater adjustments every 10 minutes for us Lol, accommodated my special dietary needs, had urgency, and both had terrific senses of humor - much needed in the world today!!!
I was in town for work from CA, with 2 local girlfriends- and they both said they would be returning 😊
The food was great ! I loved the inferno sauce and the Chile relleno was fire. I would recommend this place to a friend. The server I do not recall his name he was also the bartender. He was very kind to us. The manager spoke to us as well and was very welcoming. We will be back for more.
Great experience & great food. I felt really safe
Great food and ambiance! Love the cool vibe at Park West now with all the new restaurants.
I didn’t think we should have been sat where there was traffic coming in and out of the kitchen, when there was so many empty tables.
Everything was wonderful and right on point. Will definitely be visiting again, and hopefully often
Food was ok, salsa was really bland and chips were very thick. Ordered an appetizer the waitress forgot about it so we got it after the food. My husband ordered the giant burrito it was about the size of a Taco Bell burrito. I ordered enchiladas and the rice on the side was very small only three bites and it was gone. Drinks were ok but why have a margarita in the rocks with no salt on the rim? The special margarita of the month was better. I like sitting outside and it was clean. Pretty pricey for food that was just ok. I honestly will not return there are so many other Mexican food places that are better.
First time at the new location and we will definitely be back!
The staff was awesome! We received a tamale because it was our first visit. That tamale was the best I've ever had! Everyone kept coming by the table to commenting...oh that is my favorite dish...do you like it? It was a lot of fun and very inviting. Whoever is running the place is doing it absolutely right! the food was amazing, the quacamole and fundido was super!
Seated in patio. Waited 20 minutes for. server to come get our drink order. I had to go inside to hunt for a server. The server I asked for help said “Yes I’ll get you someone.” The restaurant was not busy and we were the only patrons in the patio.
After that our server was fine but it was a strange first impression.
The food was good, but the service kind of ruined our night! Our server wasn’t knowledgeable about anything. He was also very forgetful. Not to mention the manager just stood at the bar talking to a young Lady our whole stay.
Thisbis one of my wife's favorite restaurants. However, we live in Surprise, AZ and before the Park West location opened the nearest location was Scottsdale. That means we weren't able to go very often. So, we tried the new one (Park West).
Just as good as Scottsdale but closer to home.
Excellent service and food and social distancing was excellent!
The atmosphere was awesome but the food quality is poor. This is not Mexican cuisine... hardly even Tex-Mex... not sure what this was. Won’t be back.
Excellent service! We were greeted and immediately after sitting, water, chips and salsa was brought over. The drinks were strong and delicious. The food taste was amazing! Customer service was great!
Food portions and flavor were no where near expectation. Have gone to the Pinnacle Peak location for years and have always been satisfied. Half price appetizers was half the size, full size burrito and chimichanga was like a frozen burrito. Called and spoke with manager next morning and he apologized but offered no compensation to make it right. Seems like a typical west side flop.
They have Great food, and delicious strong drinks.
This is a local chain. The food was ok The service was good. I ordered a specialty margarita - a smoky pineapple margarita. I typically hate sweet drinks but this drink was so smoky and bitter - there wasn't enough pineapple flavoring. It was; however, strong, so i did finish it. LOL The chips were odd as they serve 1/2 corn and 1/2 fried flour tortillas as chips. The flour chips do NOT work. The fire roasted salsa was ok and the chicken tortilla soup was not.
First visit and was not disappointed. The food was outstanding to go along with a comfortable, laid-back atmosphere. Service was outstanding. Be sure to try the award-winning tamale . . . perhaps as a shared appetizer! Good stuff.
We had a great experience. Creative drinks. Friendly waitress and Sevice. Great food. Everyone liked their food. The BOH burrito while healthy was very good. We forgot our leftovers and they remade the meals for us. I would of given this rating before that but that was really above and beyond by the manger.
We had reservations and was seated immediately. Server was very helpful since it was our first time share some of their popular items. Food came out quickly and was very good. Will be back soon.
Ambiance and service was great! Food was very flavorful (some really spicy hot!) could have been just a bit heat wise hotter but overall very tasty! Drinks were awesome! Will definitely go back to try some more of their delish menu!!
We've been going to Jalapeno Inferno on Scottsdale Rd. for years. It's our favorite Mexican Restaurant. We live on the west side and they just opened another location at Park West at 101/Northern. We were extremely pleased that it was the same great food and service. The new restaurant has a totally new, modern and inviting ambiance. Lots of great outdoor seating which is perfect now for AZ fall weather and certainly COVID social distancing. Definitely will be back!
The food was great, setting was great, service was great. Only thing was the football game was being played outside at another restaurant so that made it noisier than it normally would have been.
I loved the decor and atmosphere. They have a welcoming open air concept and a huge comfortable bar with lots of space for social distance dining. The service was awesome. I really loved that the manager (or owner) came over to ensure that we were enjoying everything. The drinks were amazing, I enjoyed the margarita of the month which was a blueberry vanilla margarita and I had their signature jalapeño Inferno margarita. The sampler Platter was very tasty! I especially loved their chips and salsa and guacamole mainly because they offered flour and corn tortilla chips which is something I haven’t seen from a restaurant in a while. I ate their tequila lime shrimp taco and green hatch enchilada. Both were simply delicious. This is definitely a restaurant I will be frequenting.
Great Food, it was busy so service had a couple issues, but we will be back!
Good food, unique menu, awesome service
This was our first time dining at Jalapeno Inferno and we were very pleasantly surprised. We had no idea what to expect and were greeted as if we were regular diners and taken to our table immediately because of our OpenTable advance reservation. The chips and salsa were delivered to our table immediately with both yellow corn and white flour chips (great combination). The menu selection provides something for everyone from the adventurous to the simple. We ordered and our food was brought to the table fresh from what appears to be a very lean kitchen and it was fresh and hot which is important to us. All in all a great new discovery that we will delight to bring along friends next time.
Very nice menu but our food was a little disappointing as it was terribly salty. The outdoor seating was great. The waitress had a wonderful personality and we enjoyed her very much.
Great atmosphere and food was great. Margaritas are perfect!!! Fajarías were good. Will go back to try other plates.
Food was delicious and the frozen black cherry sangria was amazing. We had the Flan for dessert hands down the best I’ve had.
We sat outside and apart from most, noise was not an issue. We cannot wait to go back and try other options on the menu. There are so many amazing dishes to choose from, one simply can't do it in one visit. Great to have a mexican food restaurant option closer to home that has lots of variety!
Great service great food
The chips (made from corn and flour tortillas) were wonderful! The salsa was mild/medium, so most everyone could enjoy it! All the staff were very attentive to us. The margaritas were enjoyable--watch out for the strength of the BMW!! Everybody, give this restaurant a try, then walk next door to the movies!
You’d expect new-opening issues, but there were none. We’ve always loved the Scottsdale locations. Food was excellent, service on point and I love the spicy salsa (you have to ask for it).
