Disappointed by Service Despite Good Food We recently visited Jaks on a Friday late afternoon with a group of 4 adults and 4 kids. While we genuinely liked the food, the dine-in experience left much to be desired. Surprisingly, the restaurant was completely empty when we arrived, yet when we requested to be seated at a more comfortable table with couch seating on one side (which was clearly available), the server looked visibly annoyed. We also requested three high chairs for the toddlers, and again, his demeanor made it feel like we were asking for too much. What really bothered us was his response when we asked to make a paneer starter less spicy for the kids — he smirked and said, “This is not a kid-friendly restaurant.” That comment left us wondering why they even have high chairs if kids aren’t welcome. The lack of basic hospitality was disappointing. To top it off, we were automatically charged 20% service fee for a party of 8 — which would have been fine if the service matched the price. Unfortunately, it didn’t. Overall, while the food was flavorful and enjoyable, the unfriendly and dismissive service ruined what could have been a great family meal. Not sure we’d choose to dine in here again.

Food is excellent. They do not take cash. Recommended tip % oddly low for US (4-6%).

We ordered 4 different entrees and shared one appetizer. The entrees were clearly intended to be shared which we did, but in limited fashion. We had enough remaining food for 4 containers. The food was delicious and prepared as requested. We had to remind our server about out appetizer when he brought out one of our entrees prior to our appetizer. Overall, everyone was pleased with the choices and happy to have take-home containers. I order the sea bass and loved every bite - it was well prepared and perfectly seasoned for my taste.

Meh..expected better...service was fine. Slow bringing the main courses. The lamb shank was dry and tough. Everything was just okay. Doubt will return.

I was there for a business mtg and my first time to this place. We were kicked out in less than 60mins as they cited being busy. The music was loud.
